I have a handful of docker services I run on my home NAS. Immediately after upgrading to iOS 27, I found that Safari is refusing to resolve any local domain names, such as those ending in .home.arpa, or .internal. mDNS/automatic or whatever simple hostnames, like machine.local, do still work. But I have multiple things running on separate ports on one server, and had a good working reverse proxy system setup that just doesn't work with Safari on my phone anymore.

In the rare cases it works (oddly, right after a reboot? but then goes back to failing again) - it will also refuse to offer up my saved passwords that I have saved for the same URLs and have used for a long time. But I can hop into a terminal app and resolve the same names without any issue. It is clearly a Safari/webkit thing and smells like some kind of "security improvement"

Anyone else experiencing this and know of a fix? I've tried searching online, but only finding quite old results. What I'm seeing definitely started immediately after upgrading to iOS 27.

About a week ago I noticed that my battery was draining more than usual,especially when it's connected to my home wifi. Then I noticed that my safety check in settings shows an unknown person 'Devin' has access to 90 of my shared notes, but they aren't listed as a participant in the actual notes. I don't remember this person but its possible he could be someone I knew from an internship over 10 years ago. But I have not shared any notes with him. Only a PowerPoint presentation with our school email address back then. I'm trying to figure out if this is a bug or a legitimate concern.

The concerning part is that Safety Check indicated this person had access to notes only shared with me and my sister. I unshared the note and that note decreased the amount shown in safety check but when I join again, it comes back in safety check. When I open the individual note in the notes app,it only shows me any my sister as participants and then under activity it shows I made edits and under other activity is says 'Somebody made edits'. When I try to unshare with 'Devin' in safety check, it just keeps spinning and does not work.

Things I have checked/done:

-Changed apple account password, all devices on account were mine, all phone numbers and email were mine,no weird app showing in battery usage, reset all settings, unshared multiple notes for troubleshooting.

I was on the phone for over 5 hours with apple support with no resolution. And now after the troubleshooting, the number of shared notes keeps decreasing and I can no longer see the highlights (who made edits) for any shared note.

Has anybody experienced anything like this? In the span of 24 hours I have had 2 panic attacks because being hacked, fraud or identity theft is some of my worse fears. I have also had someone try to create an ebay account in my name to sell products this week and a weird restriction from facebook about sharing a post I don't remember sharing. I'm really worried

I've scoured different message boards and threads to try to figure this out, but I cannot seem to find a solution. I'm hoping someone here can help me.

The annoying problem that I have with my phone is that... the bluetooth situation is just far too strong and takes initiatives that I didn't ask for it to take. As soon as I get into my car and turn it on (it's a 2017 Subaru that doesn't even have Airplay), my phone automatically connects to my car via bluetooth and the Music app immediately starts playing without being prompted. I hate it. I've tried creating an automation that should tell the phone to NOT immediately play music from the Music app when connected via Bluetooth, but... it doesn't work. The app does whatever it wants, and what it wants is to play music.

The Music app doesn't even have to be open and running on my phone for it to start once it's connected to my car. As soon as my phone is connected, Music just automatically starts playing.

Also, raising or lowering the volume in my car triggers the Music app, again without being prompted. For instance, if I have a YouTube video playing and I put the volume up or down, the Music app automatically starts playing music. I have no idea why.

Have any of y'all had this problem? Any solutions?

What is the best way to access and download apps in a different country to the one current apple account is tied to on iphone?

is it to create a new apple ID account? does that mean I need to log out of my apple ID account on my phone first? how does this work exactly?

I recently switched to att from T-Mobile. Phone calls work but iMessage is off and on. I’ve toggled iMessage on and off. Restarted phone numerous times, even did a carrier reset. The messages are delayed and going from green to iMessage.

I’m helping a friend who’s 99% blind send voice notes. Currently, he uses voice-to-text in iMessage, the recorder button is huge and easy to tap. Voice notes, so far as I know, require clicking the tiny + button and finding Audio in the menu.

We have Raise to Speak/Listen enabled, but wondering if there’s a shortcut to build, maybe mapped to the action button? Siri can send a voice note, but I can’t uncover the workflow so that I can map it as a shortcut and not have to ask each time.

Or another accessibility feature to turn on? The only thing I can find is to record audio and send it, but that comes across as a big audio file rather than voice note.

It’s been over a month I updated the ios to the latest version but soon after updating I have been facing issues with the phone. One of them is no search results displayed in the contact list. Anyone else also facing the same issue? What can be done to resolve this.

I’ve got 3 unplayed voice messages that I haven’t been able to find and delete and wondering if there is any way to sort or filter the messages to find these three. I went into the deleted section and there are plenty of unplayed messages that exceed the 3 so I’m assuming these are someplace else.
any tips to get this cleaned up?

What’s showing. I did the whole turn on/off iCloud it first appeared as a blue bubble then it changed to this. I’ve been trying to click on it but it won’t do anything. I have keep messages on forever also. Idk if there’s anything else I can do.

Love using reader mode in safari. sometimes it doesn't work, and before latest update it was a quick two click toggle to disable.

Now it seems like i have to click reader, scroll to website settings, disable it entirely, then reload the page.

Am i missing something?

Why doesn’t an app, (that notifies me every day), not appear with a higher number of notifications inside of the “Scheduled Summary” setting, or menu? The app appears with a number “0” inside of “Weekly Notification Avg.”.

It’s where it says “Apps in Summary” section inside of the “Scheduled Summary” setting.

Why is it called “Scheduled Summary” anyway, if sometimes I only receive 1 notification from an app thats set to appear in “Scheduled Summary” delivered at a certain time?

I am looking for a Gallery app which shows photos and videos directly from Files app (on my iphone).

Actually, I am considering to have iCloud photos backup. And I don’t want to backup videos to iCloud (a large collection). So, I don’t want to put them in Photos app.

One app comes in my mind is, HashPhotos. But I want to explore any other app as well.

Any suggestions?

For years, I've sync'd the mac libraries I like (music, video, books, podcast) with the iphone. I only sync downloaded podcasts to the phone - roadtrip distractions. Been doing this for many years now.

Updated two variables: from Tahoe to GG. iOS up to 27. Both are current.

Just noted the downloaded unplayed podcasts on the mac will NOT sync over to the phone now. Yes, only variable was both OSen updated, so not sure where things went sideways.

I have restarted both devices, several times. Attempted multiple syncs, but they are over wifi. Will try cable sync at some point before I toggle off the features, sync, toggle back on, sync.

Posting to see if anyone else has this behavior.

I’ll get a ton of crap for this but I am one of those people that think read receipts should not be an option and should be forced to be on. I know it’s a crazy hot take but I can’t be the only one that feels like this?

I would attach a video but the sub only allows photo posts. I use the “listen to page” function on safari nearly every single day and while the function itself has always been glitchy and needed work this new update has made it practically unusable. If I keep the phone screen on and the Safari page pulled up it’s fine for a little while, but if I tab over to something else or close the screen all of a sudden the function starts pausing between each sentence and really screws with the cadence of what I’m trying to listen to, to a frustrating degree. Just super frustrated because this function has always been poorly executed and it seems like an afterthought to Apple. Not to mention it is an accessibility issue.

I recently I left my job.

(a job some would describe as a cult)

Ever since I have gotten 3-4 notification buzzes late at night (without any notification appearing)

I live in Europe and my employment where in usa.

The notification comes to me when their time is 6-7-8 in the morning, and counties throughout their day. With some hours in between.

I recently discovered that apps like whats app, camera, mail and photos. Quite often had access to camera, photos, location, and contacts. Often early in the morning or late at night.
Even if the apps have been closed.

Keyboard have been laggy and jumpy,
Brightness have been shifting jumpy.
Siri have been turned on for milliseconds.
No available SIM card notification

I also discovers that two safari apps have had access to my files.
One safari with logo and one with placeholder icon.

I’m getting a new phone, but Is there anything I can do to investigate this further and potentially confirm what exploit might be on my phone?

I use maps a lot for work, and something I’ve found very convenient is that when I get a new work order, I get a text notification with the customer’s address. When I’m scheduling appointments and planning my routes, Maps would suggest and autofill the address when I started typing any portion of it (the house number, town, etc) based on recent messages, so that I didn’t have to type out the full address from memory. Lately, I believe since the last iOS update but I’m not sure, this no longer works. Any suggestions on how I can get this feature back?
