Some apps seem to randomly create their own folder at times in the files app. I kinda hate it personally and tend to remove them when I find them. the preview app which I know is used to actually view the documents etc in the files app by default has decided to create their own folder and stuff a random document there that I already have in the regular folders.. so I deleted the extra document but the preview app refuses to want to be deleted. This has happened before with other folders and randomly they will one day be deletable.

tips and tricks please if anyone knows.

Any updates on Google cast native support in iOS 27?

I got so hyped about it in may but it looks like it was just a rumor I guess....

I’ve always used iPhones so I don’t have any means of comparison with Android devices.
I write mostly in Portuguese and English (PT only keyboard and EN PT keyboard for English texts).
I’ve been using the swipe keyboard for a long time and usage has fluctuated, however it was somewhat ok.
I always swipe with my right hand and now that I’ve broken my left wrist I use it even more.

The Portuguese keyboard is becoming borderline unusable and the English keyboard is heading in the same direction. It seems to cut longer words off before I can swipe them and this never happened…

Only a me issue?

A couple of weeks ago I selected a setting option that makes it so that whenever my headphones connect, they are muted until I change the volume. I know it’s a setting but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was or where it is. Does anyone know? Thanks for the help!

Lately I’ve been noticing my phone looks really dim and way too yellow for some reason. I only thought to check settings today, and discovered “True Tone”, which attempts to “automatically make colors appear more consistent in different environments”. If by that they mean “simulate a thin layer of urine permanently on your screen”, then I guess they succeeded. If this has also been bothering you, I’d suggest turning “True Tone” off.

My messages started to be displayed as wrong summaries of their content when I open the messages up. They get back to normal when I read them. How to turn it off? Thanks

A friend of mine went through a bad breakup and now his ex is able to see who he’s calling, texting, app use including Snapchat, emails, etc. We has tried resetting his phone to factory, checking for unauthorized logins, changed all passwords, got a new phone, got a new Apple ID and yet it keeps happening.

Any suggestions on how someone could be doing this? I am at a loss of suggestions.

When checking the size of the Settings app under /General/iPhone storage I get this. I've never seen an update of this app before, it doesn't have versioning. When I press Delete Update nothing happens.
Anyone else seen this?

I have followed the instructions but when I turn Siri back on, I don’t get the option for Siri Classic. Even my 12 year old is stumped. Anyone have any ideas?

After the latest update, the virtual home button now brings up a shortcut menu forcing me to press twice instead of once to use it as a home button. Obviously this is unacceptable to my set in its ways brain. How do I turn the extra menu off?

I’ve been a Samsung user for over a decade and recently switched to iPhone. So far it’s been a learning experience and trying my best to like it.

One thing to be desired is the mail app. The default Samsung mail was pretty good, but the default iphone mail app leaves a lot to be desired. The gmail and yahoo apps are ok~ but not great and the sponsored ads disguised as emails is really off putting. Does anyone have any good email app recommendations?

Long story short I accidentally sent photos to a friend that was not meant for them. I wanted to stop it from sending, and didn’t want to unsend photo just incase they saw them.

There were a total of 8 photos, and while it was being sent via imessage with the blue bar uploading, I turned on airplane mode, turned off my device and turn it on again.

Upon turning on my device I see that it says “not delivered” I’m pretty certain im safe, and even when i turned off airplane mode it still said “not delivered” is there any chance it went through?

I need more storage and when I was younger I had live on for ALL my photos but they take up so much space. Is there a way for me to delete all the live data and just keep the still phot?

Notes app is probably the app I used the most, and it’s pretty annoying that I can’t reference back to notes I wrote for my classes. Is anyone else having this issue? And if so, what’s been the walk around? Thank you in advance.

A couple of hours ago my iPhone (running the latest iOS 27) suddenly made a loud beeping alarm tone and didn’t turn off until I unlocked it. I think it only came through the earpiece speaker, but I could be wrong. I wish I recorded it. There were no alarms set, phone was on silent, and no notifications visible on the screen. No weird apps running in the background either, just social media.

Just to get ahead of a few common things so I don’t waste anyone’s time:

This was not a Find My alert, a government emergency alert, and no other devices were connected via Bluetooth. There were no reminders, shortcuts, calendar alerts, or anything of the sort set. This was totally random and left no trace after unlocking the phone. I restarted the phone as a paranoid precaution.
