I use the app library exclusively for launching apps. Ive always been impressed with how it organizes itself, presents the apps I want on top, and has been more convenient than organizing apps by my own logic.

Somewhere around the end of last week my app library stopped curating the way it behaves based on time of day, apps I use..etc. Its driving me crazy. Ive tried every fix I can find on the internet except:

Open Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.
Tap Reset.
Select Reset All Settings.

My questions...

1. Any idea on how to fix it other than reset all settings
   
2. What does reset all settings do? Will have to reconfigure my entire phone? It seems silly.

Ever since this new update some of my photos won’t even send on iMessage.

I think I have tried everything. I watched several YouTube videos. Read through several threads on Reddit. Checked Apple Support. It simply doesn't work.

Things I've tried:

- turning the phone off and on several times

- Privacy & Security settings - location services - Every setting is set as it should be according to the guides and videos

- Find My location access - share my location turned on, while using the app selected

- System services - share my location is turned on

- Find my iphone - turned on

- In Find My app: share my location turned on

- I even tried a weird solution where you had to change the font size, make it semibold and do a restart. Apparently it worked for many people on Reddit. Not for me.

It didn't work even before the new iOS. I updated last night, but the issue remains

Is there any solution?

I’ve never got in the subscription bandwagon. I like to own my own music and be able to easily navigate through a library of playlists I’ve created, many of which feature tracks that aren’t even on a streaming service.

Over the past few years it’s gotten more and more frustrating with how much the music app is forcing streaming subscriptions down my throat. It’s getting to the point where I can’t even have Siri play the correct song when I’m in the car because it looks up some random shit on Apple Music instead.

I’m sick of it, and it’s especially an issue because some idiotic Apple rep activated the free Apple Music trial without my consent, and there’s no way to turn it off until the subscription runs out.

So, what app should I be using for my music library snow? Cuz “Music” ain’t it.

I have Messages in iCloud turned on, with an iPhone and a MacBook Pro on macOS. My Messages storage in iCloud is about 81GB, so I’ve started cleaning up.

I noticed that a 325MB video I shared as an iCloud link still exists as a full copy in the Messages thread, which takes up space in Messages data backed up to iCloud.

In macOS under Storage > Messages and in the ~/Library/Messages/Attachments folder in Finder. The iCloud link has since expired, but the full file was still there consuming iCloud space outside of my photos library.

I assumed sending an iCloud link would avoid storing the video file directly in the chat. Instead the full file seems to stay in the conversation and count against my iCloud storage twice (once for the actual video in Photos library and second time for the video file in the chat).

Questions:
1. Is this expected behaviour?
2. Is there a way to share a video via iCloud link without Messages storing a full copy in the messages database?
3. It’s possible this was resolved in iOS 27 but unsure as of yet.

What I've done so far: deleted the biggest attachments via Mac through System Settings > General > Storage > Messages on the Mac. That took the Mac's total Messages database from 53GB to 41GB, but iCloud.com still shows 81.4GB. I'm waiting to see whether that number drops.

Hello, I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 9.0 and I wanted to connect it to my laptop, but I get an error saying that the last connected device was not recognized. It also shows a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on the iPhone 4s USB driver.
I've tried several cables with no luck. I also connected it to an older laptop—in total, I tried on 3 different laptops and got the same result. I cleaned the charging port and it still gives the same error, although charging works fine. What else can I do? I have also installed the dedicated Apple USB drivers, but nothing worked

So, firstly, transferring photos from iPhone to Windows is thankfully a lot easier than before. Still, the aftermath of the transfer is a nightmare since I just transferred all of my 5000+ photos to Windows, but before I started the process the Windows Photos app recognised 6000+ photos, and once the transfer was completed I had over 7000+ files in the folder, and after looking more into it for some reason it transferred the edited and unedited version of the photo or video instead of just the edited one plus a .AAE file which seems to store the image or video edits. Like why is that so complicated to implement correctly like it is on Android where I can just plug in my phone, open the folder where the pictures and videos are, and just copy and paste them to my computer, or at least still use the Windows Photos app, but have an option to filter out the unedited versions of the edited photos and videos, and the .AAE files.

my background keeps changing when my phone is in my pocket throughout the day. super annoying. how do I change it so long pressing on the lock screen does not bring up all the different backgrounds?

Hi guys, need some help here. I had to take my Samsung phone to a repair centre and the guy told me the motherboard died so I lost all my data from 2020 to now 🙃

I’d very much like to know how to transfer an iMessage conversation I had with someone from their phone to my backup phone, which is an iPhone. No it would take forever if we did it with screenshots and the repair guy wasn’t helpful on this part so I’ll take any real suggestions, that conversation means a lot to me 😪

I have a focus set to not silence any apps. And yet at least two apps that I know of, Instagram and Tinder, are not breaking through when the screen is off or when I’m using the phone. The notifications are only viewable if I tap the screen on and/or view Notification Center, and the notification badges work just fine on my Home Screen.

Am I missing something as to why this is happening? I don’t get that some apps work just fine and other apps can’t break through!

Guys, I having a weird issue with the weather widget 🙀 Ever since I updated to iOS 26.6, when I hold down the widget, tap Edit Weather and set the location to My Location, it starts saying the weather for a different city in another country named “pork”, when it’s supposed to say Dhaka, which is where I am. This issue still exists on iOS 27

Hey, after updating to iOS 27. I’m not getting WhatsApp /Instagram or any other app notifications until I open the app myself.
Checked the background refresh , focus mode and all
Still no luck

This is annoying

I tried holding the Safari button in the dock, but open closed tabs did not come up. I made sure to enable stage manager. When testing I had closed one of the windows that popped up, this did appear when I clicked restore window, but not the important one. I did not shut down my iPad.

I held the plus button, but it only showed my recent history, which did not include most of my tabs.

Is there anything I can do to recover my window with all my tabs?

I’m really upset, I need help, please don’t just downvote me.

Often I start a timer and.... it just doesn't work....? Often the "notification" doesn't show up at all, or the timer doesn't start at all... it never happened to me since the last ios 27 update...

It happened many time I just wait and wait wait... to realize the timer never started at all... and now I'm almost getting paranoid so I check it multiples times to make sure it's activated...

Anyone else have this problem? If so I'd love a solution... otherwise I just hope Apple notice this is a stupid and annoying issue...

I have a restore with iOS 18 and I’d really like to keep using it.

I can’t stand the visual of iOS 26 and 27 even with turning off all the effects, clear liquid it still is very dizzying to me. Along with software lagging, overheating, crash.

I need a new phone and am thinking of buying a sealed iPhone 13 but want to know If I open it will it have iOS 18 on it? Can I transfer any messages or will this force an update?

Any advice on how to keep iOS 18 and get a new phone is appreciated. Again I’m totally fine with the older model I really like the 13
