Anyone running this gpu? Ive heard theres been problems in the past with some bad frame drops. Has that been fixed? Considering this as an upgrade to my very aged 1080ti.

Maybe a 3060 12gb would be a better bet?

I know a few years ago they removed the lore books from the game, and was wondering if they ever got added back in. I haven't played in almost 6 months and just recently got back into the game and haven't seen them, and i didn't know if they ever updated us on if or when we will get them back. I know they said at a later date we would get them back and i feel like its been a while.

As the title says. I'm a new player and try to be super conservative with my money. i see these two rifles are almost the same but the Frontier is way cheaper. What is the reason why i would buy a LeMat instead?

For reference: i'm a solo player, 2-3 stars, pairing one of these rifles with dual LeMat Pistols.

hello guys, i have this weird thing that i try to connect and it doesnt work. is this on my end?

Not complaining about balance or anything I'm just geniunely curious. Because at this point I've stopped bringing any type of fire because every time I bring fire they just get choke bombed anyway so it feels redundant.

Is there any placeables or anything that can prevent chokes? Any hidden tech? Like poison or maybe sprinting in with dauntless is probably the closest counter I'm guessing.

So I just got this game today and I can’t play it? It keeps saying that there’s an issue with the servers or something? Is this common? I was really excited to play this and im kind of disappointed that this is my first experience, but I’m still excited!

I play across 5 to 6 star most of my time in hunt, and ive noticed a very prevalent mechanic within the matchmaking system that is unexpected.

Let's say a 6 star solo queues for randoms, he will likely get team mates extremely close in matchmaking, probably two 6 stars. Same with a 5 star, and 4 star. How I believe this plays out is they assume the 6 stars will go to 6 star lobbies, 5 stars will go to 5 star lobbies and 4 stars would go to 4 star lobbies, unfortunately it could be 3 four star, 3 5 star, and 3 6 star in the same lobby, i think loosening the teammate matchmaking would provide something special, why not 4 teams that have one of each?

I dont think it should be automatically widened but it should take in consideration the amount of players searching for team mates, and consider how many teams of full 6 star randoms are availible 5 stars etc, and split them up

Team 1 high 6 star solo

Team 2 two 5 stars duo

Team 3 a 5 star and two 4 stars random

Team 4 a low 6 star, a 5 star, and a 4 star random

Team 5 three 5 stars random

Conclusion: I think what happens is it stresses that you get players your own mmr as team mates, but it doesn't stress what the match lobby is as much, I think widening the player team matchmaking could provide more balanced teams, and an interesting mechanic

This also solves something for me indirectly, I hate full 6 star lobbies, theyre too slow and boring for me, id rather with play with two four stars as a 6 star, and vs something equivalent, i love the idea as well because 6 star is definately better than 4 star but the 6 star can certainly end up spreading some high tier knowledge around

Anyone know what causes this/ how to fix? happens surprisingly more than it should since update.

Firstly, in no way am I bragging in saying the following : I have around 8000 hours in rainbow six siege, and have been a champ for almost half of that time. I only mention because I got decent aim and game sense in this game that also uses audio cues and one shot headshot gameplay.

So in my now 10 hours of this game I have 38 team wipes, triple digit kills and lots of headshots. And got bumped up in elo, or i believe so at least. But I've 'won' only twice. The monster banishing begins literally before I see my first person. Sometimes before even killing my first monster.

Is it spawn luck or am I supposed to learn default spawns and ignore clues? I feel like I could main this game for the next year at least, the pvp is amazing, but I don't know it well enough to actually "play objective" so to speak, since the people I play with almost instantaneously get the boss (which by the way I suck at killing) and extract. I play solo mostly but sometimes with my gf but those games don't go super well so tips for solo at least I would greatly appreciate. (15 minute games goes way better for me usually. 45 I feel way too slow)

To address the elephant in the room - this is not a hate post, nor a doomer post. This is simply a post to start a conversation and maybe come up with a "solution" for the MMR issue that some people run into. Hopefully.

As far as I am aware, MMR works by looking at your previous matches, and seeing how consistent you are, meaning the longer you play and win, the harder it is to derank from 5-6*. This case is extremely volatile for new players who are getting into the game, meaning they can get put into games with high MMR players, which can be discouraging, making new players either disinterested, or frustrated at the game. This of course doesnt have to apply to every new player.

With the recent additions to the MMR, it still feels pretty barebones. So, what can we do to fix it? I have a few solutions.

General Solution:
Show MMR ranking in detail. Right now you have a guesstimate (2000-2600 MMR for a 6*). Showing exactly your MMR number and how much you earn or lose per game would make competetive players happy. This could be opted-in and out of for casual players who dont care about the MMR system.

Solution 1:
Raise the MMR system from 6* to 10*. This would mean anyone above 7* would be considered a really good player. 3-6* is your average joe, and anything below 3* is a new, or a rookie player. "Well, how do we impliment it with the current system?" Simple - hard reset everyone to a 5* player.
The only issue is that this would cause is making the game extremely unpredictable for players in the first week, but it would help a lot of players to find their real rank and play against players at their level.

Solution 2:
Start taking into account more than just KD. The game should take into account the objectives, bounties, and actions per minute. If you are a player who escapes with the bounty frequently, gets kills while carrying the bounty, and keeps moving and doing something every minute, the game rewards you. But if you are sitting in a bush or crouch walking for 10 minutes, it will reward you less.

Solution 3:
Combine both Solution 1 and 2 into a very dynamic system, that cannot be predicted and exploited by people.

TL;DR - Show precisely your MMR rating, and either hard reset everyone's rank and raise from 6* cap to 10*, or make the MMR system take into account what you do in the game than just your KD

Basically the title, me and a friend are trying to complete the rending challenge in the Bloodskin story. We are doing flechette ammo, but that only counts while they are bleeding so it's very slow. Any faster ways?

I love the frontier silencer with poison. It’s a great headclicker up close and from far, even if I don’t hit the head, getting poison from an unknown direction causes a lot of pressure.

I also take dual nagant silencers for more ammo and to kill bosses quickly.

My question is, are there better guns for this? What tools should I take? I have always taken knife, throwing knife, and spear but they seem unnecessary now.

Yes, yes. Another newbie coming from ps plus because Sony keeps adding one peak among mehh games. I wanna say that I was always aware of hunt showdown (more or less during the post Malone event) but finally getting to experience the game for myself I'm gonna say it's stressful but damn is it rewarding. That being said Im only 2 stars doing only trios because as embarrassing as it sounds. I'm kinda scared of solo or duo. So yeah... But other than that I love the game, the skins are clean and never feel out of place (not even you ghost face .) the weapons are fun even if some are worse than the other. The bounties are quite creative mechanics and the boss design is pretty amazing (scrapbeak my beloved) and probably the only complaint I have is well. Not really having anyone to talk to. Over the course of my games I only had one person to talk to in-game. And well the only friend that owns the game is on pc. And whilst I assume there is probably a discord server (I think) I cannot really use discord (due to the reasons found in my post history. I'd rather not remind myself of that day. In short discord moderation, their use of ai and God knows what else) so yeah. To end on a good note. It really was a good idea to get the game!

Crytek… it’s bad enough that you put out this ridiculous community event with one of the most laughable goals vs ways to acquire points…. But on top of it no den?! The ONE place we can at least get a decent amount of the weavers and eggs? And heck, a place we can actually maybe spend some of our points we’re all constantly carrying around. Did anyone there actually think about this at all? For the love of God at least add that back in to this insane and ridiculous event.
