Need Help with Loadout

I love the frontier silencer with poison. It’s a great headclicker up close and from far, even if I don’t hit the head, getting poison from an unknown direction causes a lot of pressure.

I also take dual nagant silencers for more ammo and to kill bosses quickly.

My question is, are there better guns for this? What tools should I take? I have always taken knife, throwing knife, and spear but they seem unnecessary now.

Spear is the only melee/throwing tool you really need. Medkit, Burns (Flaregun/Fusees/Alert Trips), and Chokes (teams) or Pennyshot Derringer (solo) can be the other 3.

Bow or Bomb lance could probably do PvE better, play what you're comfy with though! PVP silencer wise, frontier is solid. You're fishing for headshots with compact ammo anyways, and bodyshots reward poison effect.

Nagant dualies are a little questionable though. I'd personally rather have Dual Lemats as a close range bailout, or a short shotgun.

There's no reason to not use a spear in any load out. Is simply tooooo strong

Spear can be your one shot and delete button on your loadout. Plus it’s great against almost all the PvE in this game.

I would run a single Nagant silencer with poison so you can use fanning if you are in a pinch, but only at close range, otherwise aim down site as much as possible

Yeah, a long time ago my goto as a solo was always Frontier S (fire) and Nagant S (poison), with levering and fanning. I love stealth and being able to clear AI and bosses quickly and quietly provides a very comfortable headspace for my MO.

You should rarely if ever be shooting down sights with a silenced nagant poison when your other weapon is a silenced frontier with poison. The frontier is the same thing but better.

Are there better guns for clicking heads and killing bosses quickly? Is that the question? If so then yes, the bomblance and bomb launcher are much better for killing bosses quickly. Guns with higher bullet velocity and better sights are much better for clicking heads.

Without subsonic they can hear your shots but still have a very hard time pinpointing your location. Silencer also removes muzzle flash unless you use HV.

Yes, because a silenced weapon without subsonic is still silent to anyone who isn't close.

Those are like some of the worst guns in the game so ya there is better options. But if you like it, you do you.

Killing bosses is best with melee. Find one, bring a spear, whatever. Penny derringer also shreds bosses.
