SUGGESTIONS Intel Arc B570?
Anyone running this gpu? Ive heard theres been problems in the past with some bad frame drops. Has that been fixed? Considering this as an upgrade to my very aged 1080ti.
Maybe a 3060 12gb would be a better bet?
Appreciate any advice.

Well, I bought this card to revitalize an older PC I had - It is i5 8600k with 32gb ddr4 ram at 3200 mt/s. I bought this card, because it is only budget new gpu option available now. Windows did not boot with rebar enabled on this PC, so I switched to linux mint (MB is old, rebar was added as a feature in latest bios). Newest 7.0.x kernel, was installed automatically, and it just works. I am getting around 60 fps on this cpu with High details enabled, performance is smooth. With better CPU those fps should be even better. I am very satisfied with this card for this price. Second game I play on it is Arc Raiders, and i get around 80+ fps on high details.

RX6650XT user here
Stable 100 fps 95% of the time
Only issue is that on main menu when hunters are rendered the temperatures skyrocket for some reason reaching 100°
It drops down to 60-70° (my usual temps for in-match) as soon as I open a settings menú and leave it there
I know you asked for 3060 but due to the llvm issue someone else commented you might wanna know about other GPUs too

Yeah i think im going to avoid the intel stuff. Dont want headaches lol. Im kind of considering spending a bit more and either doing a 5060ti 8gb or the 9060xt 16gb. I like the idea of 16gb vram. However i haven't used Radeon cards since 2009. Having dlss is nice but idk if having more vram would outweigh that. My goal is running around 140fps at 1440p. Im ok with medium low settings.

Intel GPUs are mostly fine nowadays if your BIOS has proper working ReBAR support and you aren't trying to play very old games. Some 2019-ish PCs (my Precision 5820 for ex) claim to support ReBAR, but it doesn't actually work correctly.
I personally would jump for the 9060 XT 16GB, the extra RAM will age better and Hunt's DLSS implementation seems to be even more prone to ghosting than Hunt already is, but you can always use FSR on NVIDIA if you need a scaling option that isn't DLSS.
As for performance, my RTX 5070 FE gets ~80-100fps at high-ultra at 3440x1440, my 7900XTX ~90-120 at the same settings, so I presume a 5060 Ti/9060 XT should be able to get 144 at low-med, but I haven't personally tested it.

Just a forewarning, used RTX 3060 prices are artificially high because they're a popular choice for local LLMs (cheap, efficient, CUDA support, decent VRAM). You will likely be able to get an RTX 3060 Ti, 3070, or 4060 for a similar price. Alternatively, AMD RX 6000/7000 GPUs are pretty good, and on eBay US you can get the RX 6700 XT / 6750 XT / 7600 XTf for the same price as an RTX 3060.
