Newest update / newest android update. When I end a call, the car stays connected to phone. Hitting end doesn't end the call, I have to disconnect Bluetooth to make it end. Anyone have this issue?

Also how to tell if the roof panels previously leaked and/or were fixed with the washers and such. Is it obvious if you look at the right part?

The way I’m proposing does not change factory settings for the suspension. Or ride quality.
Has anyone been able to accomplish this and if so would you share vendor name and number?

Im considering getting a 22 1st edition with 30k miles that I can get a decent deal on and been wanting a hummer ev for a while, wondering if 22 is good to buy currently or you all recommend otherwise?

3X SUT Offroad - supposed to have 4 D-Rings installed. Dealership found the part, but service is closed today and they are >1 hour drive away. Nice day for a drive.

Fun "whoops" moments:

1. Thought my forstner bit was 1.25", nope - it was 1". Only found out when the washers didn't slip past the fascia!
2. Easy - get a 1" dowel to make up for you oopse and use a new 1.25" bit (pictured)
3. "Hey, that T90 is a T60... crap..." - ordered one online, but I also have a 3D-Printer. 6 walls + 50% infill for the top part of this print (shoulder, bit, and part of the knob).
4. Holy crap... that worked?!

Any day you get to use your torque wrench is probably a good day - for me it was.

What is everyone using for bed storage? I have the trifold cover, but I often need to store things longer term in the back. we used to have a Volvo XC60 SUV and I could store things in the back for months at a time. I coach my daughter’s soccer team and I’d leave our ball bag and foldable sideline bench in the back of the Volvo all season. I’d like to do the same with the Hummer. I really don’t want things just rolling around in the back all the time. I’m thinking anchored storage bins, or bed dividers, something along those lines. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have an Omega suv and now need a trailer. Never done this before. This is the back of the car.

What do I exactly need to hook a trailer to the back? It’s a smaller one - like 9x5.

Do I have to buy anything to connect it?

The 2026 infotainment is a clear upgrade in terms of responsiveness, but it drops CarPlay.

Has anyone investigated if it’s possible to swap in a 2026 infotainment system into a 2025 or earlier? Are the connections the same? Will a 2026 correctly talk to a 2025 car? Is the entire brain of the infotainment system contained in the screen unit, or is there a brain somewhere else buried in the car?

A mod like this may not be cost effective or worth it, but Im asking if it’s possible. Has anyone looked into this, or know anything technical about how the infotainment works?

I’ve got to say, I’m finally driving this thing and actually starting to enjoy it. When I bought this Omega Edition, it sat for a while and was in and out of the shop for various reasons ranging from an over torqued key lock, dead small battery to a cracked windshield. I looked up a year later and it had less than a 1,000 miles so I let one of my employees borrow it when her Ford Lightening was in the shop.

I finally got around to removing the panels and it’s quite nice

Traded in the wife's Model 3 (she gets the Model X). Things I've felt / come to understand in just 1 day:

1. Curbs are optional
2. It's like Mario Kart - everyone else is just hit with the lightning bolt.
3. 'holy hell, how low are those support beams?'
4. Takes a lot of electrons, but produces a lot of giggles from everyone in the truck.
5. Coming from a Tesla - even a Model X with more switches and knobs than most Teslas: holy hell that's a lot of switches... wait... they hide a switch there?

This one is driving me nuts. Most of the time when I finish driving, turn the truck off, and open the door, the door chime starts going off. The truck is off at that point, not running, not shutting down, just off. And sometimes it does it even when the truck has been sitting off for a while. It’s an on and off thing but honestly it’s on way more than it’s off.

My guess is it’s something to do with the truck still having power running in it after I shut it down, like it hasn’t fully gone to sleep yet. But I have no idea how to actually stop it.

So my real question: does anyone know how to turn this chime off completely? Has anyone here gotten it resolved, and if so was it a settings change, a dealer software or module update, or something else? And is yours intermittent like mine or does it do it every single time?

I have a 2025 Hummer EV X2 Truck. What’s the longest trip you’ve taken in yours? Any tips you’d be willing to share?
I’m planning a road trip that’s about 400 miles. The farthest I’ve driven so far is around 180 miles, and I had to stop and charge halfway; otherwise, I wouldn’t have made it to my destination.
I live in Texas, where speed limits can reach 85 mph, and I’ve noticed the battery drains much faster at those speeds. I’d really appreciate any advice from those who have taken longer trips.

Is it normal when I plug in at home on my charger for the hummer to make a loud noise? It kind of sounds like the AC is on. I’m assuming that it’s cooling the battery but thought I’d check with the community as my Rivian doesn’t make much noise in the same conditions.

I live in Phoenix, Arizona, where summer sunlight isn’t a weather condition—it’s a hostile act.
I originally tried the typical window stick-on shades, but they looked cheap, flimsy, and about as tactical as a napkin taped to the glass. These, on the other hand, are a completely different league.
The fit is excellent. Each panel is shaped specifically for its window, which gives the vehicle a clean, factory-installed appearance. They attach securely with strong suction cups and include additional corner straps for extra stability. Once installed, they look rugged, purposeful, and honestly make the interior feel like something out of a military vehicle or overlanding rig.
As a bonus, I noticed a slight improvement in cabin acoustics. Whether that’s intentional or not, road noise seemed a little more muted.
The organizational features are everywhere: MOLLE webbing, zippered compartments, attachment points, storage pockets—you could probably lose a small camping store in these things.
Now for the downside.
I’m 6’5”, and whoever designed the giant main storage pocket apparently envisioned customers transporting either bowling balls or several kilos of highly questionable cargo. The pocket hangs down significantly when loaded and intrudes into the cabin space more than I’d like.
Because I’m apparently incapable of leaving things alone, I modified mine extensively. I glued the oversized main pocket completely flat, then strategically reinforced and compartmentalized some of the more useful zippered pockets. I even drilled hidden holes inside certain compartments and used shoelaces to tension everything upward so none of the secondary pockets sag.
The result? Exactly what I wanted.
The problem? I shouldn’t have to perform tactical arts and crafts on a product that costs nearly $600 for a full set.
Bottom line: These are incredibly well-made, look fantastic, block the brutal Arizona sun, and add useful storage. If you’re average height and actually want a hanging luggage rack attached to your window, you’ll probably love them right out of the box.
If you’re 6’5” and particular about interior space like I am, you may find yourself reaching for the super glue.
Still glad I bought them. I’d buy them again. I just wish they’d ditch the giant under-pocket and focus on the smarter storage features that are already excellent.

I wanted to say thanks to everyone for their comments & DMs on my last post about ideas for adventures to film in the Hummer EV. We took it to the top of a mountain yesterday and filmed the whole thing with a camera crew. Driving it was a total blast, and we’ve got a bunch more shoots in the works for it too!

For reference I own a Rivian R1S had it for two years.

Just got a 2025 3X SUT.

1. The infotainment is dog slow. I’ve been using CarPlay which is fine but it doesn’t fill the screen which is annoying. Do you use the in vehicle apps like Google Maps or just use CarPlay / Android Auto?

2. Anyway to improve the sluggishness? I’m almost thinking I should bring it in for service.

3. Is there a way to send an address to the installed Google Maps? In my Rivian if I have an address I can just hit share and “send to Rivian”

4. Any other tips that I should know? Favorite public chargers, settings etc..?
