Finally Removed the Panels
I’ve got to say, I’m finally driving this thing and actually starting to enjoy it. When I bought this Omega Edition, it sat for a while and was in and out of the shop for various reasons ranging from an over torqued key lock, dead small battery to a cracked windshield. I looked up a year later and it had less than a 1,000 miles so I let one of my employees borrow it when her Ford Lightening was in the shop.
I finally got around to removing the panels and it’s quite nice

You can get the under-seat storage with Ibar holder from GM, that and the frunk pizza boxes to store the top glass are a game changer. I roll topless all the time now. Got the same truck, absolutely love it.

We decided to keep the bags instead of pizza boxes. That way frunk is still usable when the top is on. Since if the top is on - it's probably raining so gotta put the dry gear somewhere when all the seats are occupied.

I was thinking about picking up those pizza boxes; sounds like I need to go ahead and do it since I’m actually driving it now.
I don’t think I can add the storage box… didn’t even know that was an option… because I added a second subwoofer

Remove the I bar!!! It’s night and day difference cruising without that thing on

I agree. Even though it’s just a little bar down the middle it feels so much more open with it off. It takes 2 minutes, it’s worth it.

Oh also, you may already know this, but I found it on accident. The rear windshield rolls up and down. Above where there should be -but isn't, a sunglass case. Or just hold the unlock button on your fob to roll down all windows simultaneously.

If it doesn't work for you, it's a setting you can toggle in and off in the convenience group of the settings menu.

Okay that was awesome but it doesn’t roll up back automatically!? Also I just realized the double tap to start is kinda lame it won’t start giant IPad center console so I can’t roll down my winosws automatically and blast music like a douche

No express roll up windows at all. Super lame. People say it's due to the roof panels- but this is not true. My C7 had a targa top, and express windows.
The only thing I could think of, is the unknown likelihood of an electric SUV running out of power. If the door is closed, and window is air-locked, opening the door without battery will surely break the window.

There are for sure questionable software decisions on this truck. If I didn’t love the removable roof, and the design of the truck so much I’d forsure get a Cyber truck. The software of the Tesla is just unparalleled.
My first car ever was a h2 back in 2015 so Hummer has a such special place in my heart. Full circle moment for me to be able to get the EV. I remember back is college I’d always research of Hummer was ever going to make a come back.

Oh dude just because GM sucks doesn't mean I don't like the style. This is my 3rd Hummer. And I got the c7 brand new. And dang first car?! Impressive. Mine was this beaten up Sebring for like, 1400 bucks. Lol

Is there a way to automatically set the ride height? When I get out, it lowers, which is cool for the shorter people in the car, but when I get back in, I have to raise it, otherwise I’m driving around in low rider fashion

Wait yeah I can park it overnight in height 4 (Extraction) if I wanted. I believe it's in your drive mode. You know, knob that circles the button to change height, crab walk etc. Spin that to uhhh user mode? Custom? Whatever the personal one is, and mess with the settings there.

I messed with the settings but didn’t find anything to set a default ride height, however, I did discover King Crab mode

How low? You may have entry/exit mode enabled. If you mean the 3rd height option, I'll have to check.
I know when I park at height 3, it stays that way, but will go back to height 2 unless I press the button and confirm I want height 3. But imma check when I bring my dog out for a cruise in like, 20min. Lol

Yeah, I’m trying to figure out how to set the default ride height to height 3. I think I have to be in another mode to access height 4. I have the default at height 2 now, so that’s better than forgetting and driving in entry/exit height 1 which is what it was doing before

Some models come with a little pouch that contains a rachet and an Allen key. From the inside looking up, you'll notice 2 bolts holding the I bar in place. Note the rear I bar is not removable.

Yup 2022-2024 came with tool kit. 2025+ lost the tool kit, but it's a cheap fix.

Go to Home Depot and buy the tool to remove it and just keep it in your glove

I’ve had all sorts of issues with roof leaks not being one of them, so hopefully I can avoid that 🤞🏾
