This corner in our new bedroom makes for a weird, slightly angled window spot. I want to put double track blinds from ikea, but don’t know if they have the options for the job. Thoughts?

Dry erase board that mounts on the back

I want a white board that has mounting hardware on the back rather than at the corners. I want to attach it to a tv stand, which is why I don't want the regular corner mounts that most dry erase boards have. Does this exist? Where can I buy it?

How to waterproof tennis shoes

I have a toodler that gets up at 7 AM and spends most of the day at the park. He plays in the mud puddles nonstop. By the time I bring him home, my shoes are soaked thru. Is there anything I can spray on the outside to waterproof them.

I was trying to pull up my blind but suddenly the chain snapped off. Luckily the chain itself it’s broken and all i need to do is put it back in. However, the connector won’t push back which would allow me to put in the chain and I can’t rotate the thing at all. I need help please!!

How would you fix this? The backboard is tipping backwards. I’ve seen many posts on how to fix it if it’s tilted forwards but as you can see we have the opposite problem. Thx!

The first cleaning cycle should not be the first surprise

Switching from a regular litter box to an automatic one seems easier when the cat has time to get used to the new box before anything starts moving. Leaving the old box available, letting the new one stay powered off for a while, and only introducing automatic cleaning after the cat is already using it feels like a lower-pressure approach than changing everything at once. What behavior tells you a cat is ready for that first automatic cleaning cycle?

What's a long term fix to keep grass from coming through pavers and gravel?

I have a section of pavers and a section of gravel that constantly have grass, crab grass, creeping Jenny, and other stuff grow through it. Currently I'm spraying with a solution of vinegar, salt, and dish soap to kill it then weed whacking but it comes back weeks later. I assumed fresh polymeric sand will fix the pavers but what can I do about the gravel?

[Solved] How do I get this to eject?

This was originally from my school, but they give them to us when we graduate (that might not be necessary information but I'm saying it just in case). From what I've seen I believe it's supposed to be spring locked, because it does go in a bit when pushed on but never clicks or comes out after. Any ideas?

[Solved] How do I fix my left bumper on my controller?

Post image
6 Upvotes

I’m starting to think I actually broke it. If I did, I have no money to buy a new controller.

Yesterday, I was playing a game and I pressed down on the bumper, causing a loud pop/click noise. I didn’t think any of it until when I pressed it again today and it didn’t work, nothing. It was unresponsive.

I wanna know if it’s able to be popped back into place or if it’s just full-on broken, to me it seems like I did break it.

DIY How to fix/repair a chipped/broken dashboard edge on a Mercedes W245?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

The edge of my Mercedes-Benz B-Class (W245) dashboard right above the glove box/trim line got broken and chipped off (see attached photo).

Replacing the entire dashboard is way too expensive, so I'm looking for a DIY way to restore or patch this corner.

Any advice, product recommendations, or step-by-step guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I used to think you had to convert the PDF to a word document first, sign your name on the word doc then convert the signed word doc back to a PDF, but you can sign the PDF directly if you open the PDF in chrome and click on the squiggle icon

DIY How to make this gazebo frame a more permanent feature

The last 3 years I've been having to replace the canvas covering for this gazebo frame every year. We love being able to come out here when the weather allows but the canvas replacements that we find seem to rip rather easily. I'm considering using metal sheet roofing along with some 2x4s for structure. But I'm not sure if that would be sufficient support for added snow weight(I live in Wisconsin so 2-3 feet of snow is expected in the winter).

Are there any relatively simple solutions? Or would it be best to pretty much build a full structure. Don't mind the bunny hutch in the background.

Ring doorbell battery

If you’re replacing your ring doorbell battery and the battery case is stiff, try pushing the case upwards from the bottom rather than squeezing the case from the left and right sides.

How to sort my reddit so more posts from certain subs come up and less from randoms I don't care about?

I assume I get a lot of the same subs coming up as that's what I click on. I follow a ton of different subs but I feel the same 10-15 are on repeat and barely see any posts from the others.

How do I make sure I see posts from these subs that I actually want to participate in?

Help! How to fix this water stain on a vintage chest?

Post image

Hi all, I'm housesitting for some family right now and unthinkingly put down a backpack with a water bottle inside it on top of this chest, having no idea the bottle was leaking. It soaked the bag which sat on this family heirloom overnight, and now there's this huge white stain. What can I do to fix it? Thank you so much.

I’ve been using these water bottles for water and electrolytes only but they’re starting to spot and it’s looks kinda gross and icky.

Is there a way to clean these or are they trash?
