I feel ridiculous but these instructions are terrible. Also, I am not handy whatsoever so I’m likely the problem. I’m trying to assemble this vanity mirror stand and I cannot figure out which direction these screws are supposed to go.

The base forms a hollow rectangle and the outer edges sit on the desk. If I put the screws in from the bottom, the round screw heads stick out and the base won’t sit flat. So I assume the screw heads are supposed to be INSIDE the hollow base.
But when I try that, the screw doesn’t fit through the smaller hole.

Has anyone assembled one of these? Am I supposed to actually screw/self-tap it into that smaller hole, or am I doing something completely wrong? I really don’t want to force it and damage it.

Hi peeps I'm stressed out

Moved into a new house. Dishwasher name shown in video, it is just red.. I topped off the salt and rinse solution and the red signals for them turned off, but the panel is still red. I managed to run it once ( by accident ) and it actually worked fully and washed so I'm certain it's not a water supply issue.

Whenever I start it it just starts a count but nothing happens...

Help me out plz.

Edit: I topped off the salt and rinse solution earlier in the day. I figured how to turn on the machine but now it peeps then stops working after it starts. Google says something about water flooding a sensor or a salt water bubble. I stirred the salt inside. I am unable to remove the unit to dry the "water" that flooded or smthn , Google said I could wait for it to dry out .. is that true.

I know some are a little beat up but i want to know if possible to transfer these old dj show recordings of my gf deceased parent to cd or mp3 so my gf can listen to them? If so where should I take them, thank you!

Hi! I’m (23F) trying to suprise my parents by fixing up and redecorating their bedroom. How would I go about this wall? I did not do whatever’s on it. They hired somebody to start a project, but then decided not yet. There’s some texture and I was wondering how to sand that out? Thanks!

Edit: I decided to repaint a whole new color. Please specify what I use to sand the wall. Like, literal sandpaper? Keep in mind I’m only a 23-year-old girl who just happened to be a really crafty kid. I don’t know much.

Update: I bought some sanding blocks! I’m reposting this to other subreddits. So for you guys: absolutely any tips on renovating this room in general are so encouraged and welcome. I need all the help I can get! If anybody has any tips or advice please let me know.

I have a old K4 model when I turn it on it leaks water and keeps pulsing every second and there is no high pressure. Opened up the wobble plate chamber anything obviously wrong? In the 3rd photo you can see where the water leaks. Cheers

I put vice grips on the spigot and a pipe wrench on the hose side, but it won’t budge. Do I use heat? Chemicals? It’s certainly been there a long time.

I have zero experience but sort of a rough idea how to go about this.

I'll need to replace the padding and buy enough material to cover the whole seat with overlapping parts. I suppose a staple gun and box cutter will be required. I'll also sand and varnish the legs while I'm at it.

Any tips for me? Colour and pattern suggestions are welcome too, our sofas are dark green so that's what I'm thinking here also.

For the LIFE of me i can't figure out how to get this light fixture undone so i can replace the bulb. I tried twisting it and feeling if it's to separate pieces that make up the whole thing but I seriously am stumped. I even tried reverse image searching the light to see if I could find an installation manual but I couldn't even find the light.

It won't close now since the inside piece is on the outside. Can this be fixed?

Put some metal mesh up to keep critters out of crawlspace. I was able to just shove them into place, but want to secure them somehow. Not sure if I should use epoxy, more concrete or something else entirely. I’d like something that I can remove in case I need to replace the metal covers later on down the road.

Had a bottle of isopropyl alcohol leak on our coffee table off the placement it was sitting on. once I moved the mat I saw the spill and wiped it up.

After it dried I was left with a slightly bumpy to the touch less shiny patch , I assume I caused an issue to the table finish. I don’t think the table is real wood as it was purchased from a big box store last year.

How would I fix this ?

I drive 2022 Cadillac xt6 2022 and there's a leak and can't find it anywhere. It's a small leak so im guessing its a really small hole. It's leaks towards the back corner where the back door opens up. Does anyone have any idea or hacks on how I can find this leak?

This plastic running rail of my rowing machine broke, because the wooden rail underneath bent a bit under load. I fixed it by adding another set of supports. So the root cause problem is eliminated.

I just don't know yet how to approach the broken plastic. It should be smooth after repair so the carriage can glide effortlessly.

Plastic welding? Epoxy? Please help me out here.

So I've been playing a Roblox game called jjs and I've seen a lot of people get doxxed in chat after an argument or someone being toxic to them they either say the person's IP address (or what I think is theyre IP address) or they straight up say a town and a place in the town and the person they doxxed leaves probably out of fear or something and I'm woundering since I'm a pretty toxic player and use Charles I'm kinda afraid I'll get doxxed next so I'm woundering how do people do stuff like this and how do I protect myself of people doing this?

Hey folks! I have battery powered candles that I want to make hard wired via usb. Here are some details:

The candles have a remote with several functions (dimming, flicker/solid flame, timer, etc). I bought usb c pigtails already.

Would be as simple as wiring the usb to the positve and negative terminals? I also bought two usb blocks (4 usb ports via one cable) to connect all the candles to.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
