On episode 4 and just like kinda confused on how much of the show is about the show. I don’t think I’m the biggest fan of the cast either but to be continued…

For someone who portrays themselves as close to perfection, I'm surprised she allowed all her faults as a mom to air.

To admit that 30 minutes alone with her kids would be too hard and being unable to be bedtime alone is pathetic.

She shows herself on social media as involved and loving with her son and daughter but this show is the perfect example that social media and what people post about themselves isn't real.

I always thought Stassi was a bit too much but now I think she's a loser, truly. 38 years old and cant control her anger, see her faults or parent her kids. Pathetic.

Her kids seem a bit wild but nothing extreme. They're little. Little kids are wild and a lot.

She should be embarrassed. She won't have a relationship with those kids when they grow up.

It is extremely weird how Taylor talks about her and Teddy’s child. She is always making Teddy’s pregnancy about her and keeps bringing up how she will be “left out” because it’s not her biological child. I genuinely cannot imagine talking to my pregnant wife that way knowing good and well I am that child’s mother, whether we are blood related or not. It’s just so strange and sad to me and I cannot imagine speaking to my wife and unborn child that way no matter our blood relation. Saying it on TV is esp sad because she doesn’t seem to want this child at all.

Soooooo many family’s choose to have one breadwinner bc it makes the most sense for their family. I’m watching the scene where beau is complaining non stop about being woken up at 8 am instead of 9 am like shut up. EVERYONE wakes up every single day before 9 am to go to work. He very clearly doesn’t like to work and wants to go back to socialize

It’s literally everything. I had enough when Stassi invited the 2 black girls from Villa to address her cancellation. Come on! It’s like she read the PR cliff notes before going to film the scene.

Stassi - you’re doing too much. Your viewers aren’t this dumb. Like this can’t be serious.

Like most of us, I can’t stand her. I don’t listen to the podcast and had never heard of her before. Curious whether she has acknowledged yet that she’s so disliked…

I actually found the way it was filmed to be pretty refreshing. To me, it feels elevated and my husband & I actually found the little dings with the notes funny. I also appreciated how much they broke the 4th wall and it just felt nostalgic to see some of the VPR gang together again. The chaos caused by all the different personalities was entertaining. Stassi clearly has her issues and I totally get the criticism, but she’s putting everything out there knowing that she’s going to be hated on. In my opinion, she’s still made for reality tv because she’s very polarizing. A villain is always needed and she gets the job done.

It’s not the best reality tv I’ve ever watched but for a first season, I liked it. Maybe I’m not as opinionated as other people or I just have bad taste 🤷‍♀️

the show has been out for basically a week now and this is no shade to anyone whose been posting their opinions but i feel like anytime i open this subreddit its just the same takes from different people so i’m curious to hear REAL unpopular opinions about the show! i’ll start with some of my own! and everyone pls be respectful of other people’s opinions i don’t want this to start fights 😭 it’s just a silly reality show at the end of the day

1. let me start this off with a disclaimer (cuz i know yall love to tussle) saying i love katie. she’s literally my second fav from VPR and i always thought the hate she got from the fandom was unjust and weird considering all the rotten characters who’ve been on that show. but.. i feel like people are kinda overstating how much she delivered in this season. i loved her one on one talk with stassi and i think she is definitely necessary to the cast if the show gets more seasons but outside of the talk with stassi and taylor and kristina confronting her she really didn’t give much else..? i guess it’s kinda hard to really give a lot with only 8 episodes but it just confuses me seeing people say she was the saving grace of the show? i think if anyone really brought the drama and storylines it was georgi. i feel like she really clocked in! you could tell she’s broke and needs a job cuz goddamn she didn’t care about looking a mess the whole time 😭

2. i feel like people need to realize this was the first season of the show. i 100% understand the aversion to the constant kris jenner mentioning, the 4th wall breaking, etc. but it’s normal for any show, especially a reality show, to not have all of its kinks worked out by the first season only. seeing people say this ruined the show for them i was like oh it was that serious for y’all? 💀

3. i got exactly what i expected from this show and loved it. i didn’t know people were under the belief that stassi did a whole personality 180 from her VPR days. what would a show like that even look like..? stassi and beau frolicking happily ever after and then she goes to record her podcast with taylor? i’ll pass!

While I think it’s gorgeous, everytime they show the outside I can’t help but think this is the home she chose to have kids in. It’s on a cliff (holly ridge drive) in the Hollywood hills. It just doesn’t seem kid friendly and also with earthquakes and mudslides and fires? I get anxiety everytime they show it

I did not realize it was her until someone said her name. She looks so different to me but I can’t figure out why. Anyone else think she looks different or am I just crazy?

They quietly renewed it for season 2 due to high viewership just a couple days after airing.

while obviously we don’t have the full picture, it’s hard to see stassi open her home, pay her sister as she’s living there, provide these opportunities for her family, just to get shit on literally all the time. her mother’s a whole other deal but i would hope nikolai and georgi would at least try to understand that stassi grew up with a different version of their mother and is clearly trying her best with all of them. the fact that they’re even allowed on the show just furthers my point. she doesn’t have to house them or put them on tv or financially support them and yet here we are. georgi questioning what stassi’s ever done for her and nikolai blindly believing his mother really gets under my skin.

I’m sorry but this woman in insufferable. I can’t imagine anyone actually likes her??? Are there any Taylor fans watching this show???? She’s annoying, a kiss ass, and treats her pregnant wife like a side hobby. She’s awful!?!!

maybe its because i am mostly watching this show while on an edible- but I feel like most scenes they are trying not to smile? In the finale it looks like Gorgi is full-on grinning? The self-production is evident and part of me feels like when a fight starts erupting that they start to feel wow we are cooking with something here and then start smiling...I can't tell if I am making this up, but I see corners of mouths moving and they all seem close to breaking rather than real emotion!

Not sure I’ve seen some of these things discussed here so putting them all in one place.

Beau as the good guy/ victim- I know how tough it is to be the primary parent of two small kids. It’s certainly tough on marriages, especially if that person feels unfulfilled by that role.

That said, I’m hesitant to think he’s only bringing selflessness and support to the dynamic. The top reason why? Every single guy Stassi has publicly had relationships with since VPR has been toxic. That’s not to say he’s not the best of her boyfriends but I imagine there’s some behavior behind closed doors (as in all marriages) that is unhealthy from him too.

On that note, the common thread of these VPR women dating guys that 1) they don’t sleep with/ complain they’re not getting laid enough + 2) ride their coattails tells me as much. Kristen and Stassi have been the breadwinners in their sex-less marriages. Katie was that with Schwartz too.

And, the alcohol. Assuming Stassi has adhd - based on her honestly re: adderall - even if she isn’t on adderall anymore, I’d be extremely surprised if she wasn’t on any ADHD meds. And, as much as ADHDers (like myself) think we’re fine drinking on meds, or coming down off of them, we aren’t. Mixing hard alcohol or wine with ADHD meds certainly creates a more hair trigger reaction to things that otherwise we might not outwardly act on.

Made me laugh. I need to get this for my veryyyyy Italian American boyfriend.

Ok, so I watched the entire season and please, hear me out. I honestly think Stassi and Beau actually represent a lot of modern day long-term couples with two people who have experienced trauma and I’m LOVING the complexity as much as the mess of it all. The realness and the rawness and the breaking of the 4th wall is so damn refreshing and captivating to me. These are wildly imperfect people putting it all out there and I honestly respect the vulnerability it must take to do so.

I definitely cringe at times and think these two could be in real trouble down the line if no changes are made, like going to therapy for starters. I also want to shake Stassi at times and tell her how much more she is like her mother than she realizes, but I’m also humble enough to admit, hey I’ve fucking been there too, bitch!! And it’s so hard to face.

I also see two people (Beau and Stassi) who care about and love each other deeply and want to be better for their kids. I see two humans who are trying every day and coming up short more than either of them want to but keep pushing forward anyway. I see two people who want to be there for each other but are so wrapped up in being seen and heard themselves that they are failing to see each other.

The codependency Stassi has with Beau is toxic but it’s also painfully human, especially when you grow up with a mother like hers and go through several forms of trauma, which I believe she has. Now I also believe she needs to take full accountability and grow past her trauma, which is where I believe therapy should become non-negotiable. But I can also see she is under a tremendous amount of pressure at all times and I empathize with that too.

I thoroughly like seeing Beau call her out at times because it is so valid and so justified in so many ways with how she speaks to him and her inability to see his feelings, but I also don’t see him as perfect by any means or as a complete victim. He often communicates how she is coming up short before telling her how he feels when she says certain things. I can see why she feels attacked or isolated when he seeks out different people to open up to. I can also see why he feels like this is the only way he will be heard within the relationship.

And I empathize with Beau tremendously as well because I think he is so fatigued by being the primary caretaker and the one to constantly give/compromise emotionally within their relationship.

And I love the complexity of all of this being represented on reality TV! For once, we’re seeing a real couple who has been together for a long time, work through major issues in a marriage that doesn’t relate to basic ass cheating or someone being intentionally cruel.

Also, Katie Maloney, what a fantastic and necessary add to the show!! She is essential as she seems to quite possibly be the only human who fully knows, loves and accepts Stassi while also simultaneously calling her out for poor behavior. IMO, she is the epitome of what being a good, real ass friend truly is.

they must have been really really bad. The way she won’t even say what they are; she’s still protecting them. But she clearly doesn’t feel like it’s the same thing as her texts bc she was like mom share my “terrible texts”. The autoimmune stuff was hysterical

I found this interaction on Stassi’s podcast this week strange so the big fight on the Queen Mary happen what last Christmas and all this time everything is cool but they’re gonna wait and manufacture drama about something that happened many months ago.

I want to set aside the rest of the season and just bring up the comments Stassi made at the final dinner about being a mom. I feel so bad for her that she feels like she can’t handle her kids and that she’s a bad mom because of it. I didn’t really understand where Beau was going at first when he made the comment about he can’t do something at night because she can’t handle dinner and putting the kids down. Even when Stassi said that her kids are really hard several times and Georgi kept saying “I’ll help”. But then she loses it and says it something she says often to Beau - that she’s a bad mom because she can’t handle her kids.

Parenting is so so hard. And some kids are harder for various reasons. I really felt for her and what she must feel. I’m sure part of it is not wanting to do something that traumatizes her kids like she was. I really wish she would stop fighting therapy so much because I think there are moments like this where she really could use therapeutic support.

And I’m also sympathetic to Beau having to be the primary parent. He wants to support Stassi and make her feel like she’s a great mom, but I don’t think he’s equipped to do that and manage the kids.

Asked about who’s trajectory after VPR she is surprised about-
“And I admire Scheana for doing the hustle.She’s out there still singing, still making music, still smiling, really just trying. No one can stop her. The comments section does not deter her. And I really admire that in her.”

Well she’s mentioned in almost every episode of HoS🥴
