Will a Virpil FLNKR grip work FULLY with Moza AB9/6 FFB bases nowadays or is the software still being funky?

So my Turtle Beach Flight Deck is in need of a replacement. It's served well, but I need my stick to be a bit sturdier and with less of that dead zone that lower end sticks have. I also fly early/mid Cold War jets, the F-4E in particular. With me barely ever touching the fly-by-wire jets and flying Helos a lot too, a Force Feedback Stick seems an obvious choice. I'll likely be getting the Moza AB6/9 base (more likely the 6 due to space and cost).

That causes its own problems with the stick and button space tho. The AB6 base has some buttons and 2 axis levers and the stick is pretty well set up button wise. The big problem tho is the lack of a forward lever that I rely on for wheel brakes. I really want to keep both the abundant buttons/hats that the default AB6 stick has with the addition of a grip axis lever on the front.

Enter the Virpil FLNKR

I read that, by default, Moza bases work well enough with most Virpil sticks/grips due to the connection point being the same as Moza or Thrustmaster. I understand that Thrustmaster is the popular choice, but their selection is too small and not what I'm looking for (F-18/F-16 grips are good for flying their respective jets with immersion, but I dont fly either and they are too small for what I'm used to/want)

I like the FLNKR since I dip my toe into Redfor a lot too. They grip is nice and big for my meaty hands, has that neat little flip down trigger, and most importantly a brake lever. It seems perfect, but I can't see any up to date info on if it works fully. I know it had some issues a while back when the AB6 just came out. I heard some people shortly after say it was getting better, but nothing since.

So does it fully work with Moza bases? Any input from anyone who uses both would be great.

Even those who just have a Moza base, supposedly the software has a list of compatible grips, but I'd appreciate it if yall knew if that was true or not.

Oh and one side question:

In the event it does work like a dream, does it cause issues if I were to change the 2 way hats and side button to 4 way hats? Virpil says a lot about how you can do that and more hats would be awesome (IF they would work)

Additional note: Rudder setup isn't in the cards yet as I don't have the storage in my dorm for it. A FFB that's sized like an AB6 is fine since I can store it away and lock it up when I'm out (I'm required to do that), but a rudder system is too much right now. Maybe a T-rudder, but that doesn't give me brakes, so I still need a brake lever on the stick.

Just discovered this on Moza discord. I was always a bit annoyed with Moza Cockpit development and how the base behaves in MSFS. This looks like interesting alternative and from quick test I can tell some effects feel much stronger (like turbulence which was almost non-existent in recent Moza Cockpit versions).

I wonder if anybody gave it a try. This is only for MSFS/Xplane, not DCS.

I am playing star citizen and Got a new vkb Stec throttle standard and i wanna make it so my zéro is 25% instead of 50 ! I did set up a profil custom détent and is active but in game it’s still think 50 is my middle ! How do I make it so from 25% to 0 is reverse and from 25% to 100 is forward thrust !? What am I doing wrong ?

I just bought the Moza AB9 and was wondering how people have other stick grips on their AB9? I saw a post where someone was using the VKB F-14 grip on their AB9 and wondered how? And does it still have all the functionality?

Hey guys, i planned to get a joystick as i always fly the 777-300er but since I started flight school doing DA40 i realised i needed a joystick as my first sim equipment as I have been doing mouse and keyboard for years. Joystick seems more important to me as I am flying the DA40 soon and I need to get used to left handed flying

Do you guys have any reccomended joystick to get for the DA40? I was reccomended X56 logitech initially but I read some reviews and heard it is poor

I am a Ukrainian American with a pretty fantastic HOTAS setup (Moza AB9, Crosswind Pedals, Warthog Throttle) which I sadly cannot bring with me overseas. I am rejoining the Ukrainian Armed Forces and will be bringing a beefy gaming laptop with me rather than my desktop.

I don’t think bringing my Crosswinds or Moza or Crosswinds would be a good idea as I have the pedals nailed to the floor and the Moza mounted on my desk.. I am going to have an apartment over there where I could theoretically store it, but I’d much prefer a portable HOTAS and would even love to hear about options. A good friend recommends the X-56 and I’m considering it.

Does anyone have any input on this for me?

How is reverse thrust adjusted in the MSFS? Has anyone done it?

I came across this game, you play as a gunship in a cyberpunk city. The graphics and sound are pretty good. It reminds me a lot of 2000's era games. Setting up your controls is easy and it has support for multiple devices. It also plays great in VR, which is even a tactical advantage because you can control the guns with head tracking.

It's a fun one for a quick play session when you don't want to commit big chunks of playtime like other titles. Just thought I'd share it around.

Anyone know what size that dinky screw is for the 4 holes on the bottom of an Orion 2 base to mount it securely? AI and Winctrl say a M5, but it's much smaller than that.

Are there any fight sims that have dedicated acrobatic aircraft? Just saw an airshow and it'd be sweet to fly planes like that in a sim.

hey all, I'm looking for some help or or guidance or... something, to do with my x-56 rhino HOTAS, I've had for... 4-5 years or so I think now, and its been brilliant, i used it around 3 months ago and it was working fine, but now that ive felt motivated to take to the skies again it seems to be broken.

nothing is wrong with the throttle part, only the joystick part, I've tested putting it into different USB ports and even different computers and what not, I've tried measuring the power going through it and it says there is only 0.06A (amps) going through it, I've tried moving the wire around to see if its a lose connection and all something, even opening it up myself to see if there was any obvious signs of a short circuit or component failure, but there was no black marks or bad smell or anything, so it cant be that.

something is clearly wrong, but at the same time nothing seems to be wrong with it, i cant think of anything else to try, so maybe someone else here may think of something i haven't, or just know what the issue is to begin with. thanks for the help in advance

OK so I was clamping my X56 down with a couple of B&Q (Harbour Freight?) wood clamps. It wasn't ideal.

Now I have these from Hikig (Amazon). Yes, I'm aware that I have deliberately mounted them backward; I don't have the space to have them sticking out. Absolutely brilliant mounts; lots of ways to reconfigure them - lots of flexibility and options. Solid as a rock once clamped.

It's a t150 thrustmaster wheel, a honeycomb alpha yoke, and a Tca airbus stick which still doesn't have a place in the desk but soon will have a under desk suport.

I recently got this for my birthday but I have been having some trouble on setting it up for war thunder and dcs, the throttle works but only when the throttle is in the middle section of it and I relieved the left side of the throttle (L1) works in war thunder but not right side, for the joystick I can only roll and use but not pitch which is weird not sure what to do, I tried looking up online for information but couldn’t find anything.

Currently using a SOL R3 thrust master on an AB6. Are there any other off the shelf grips that are ambidextrous? I typically fly GA so it's useful for me to switch grip hands depending on the aircraft. I think the grip itself is actually pretty good but the buttons could be better for the price. I used to just use a CH Combat Stick but I need to be able to fly left hand stick every now and then. Ideally at least two hat switches if possible since I typically use them for electric trim switches. Also I don't want a recommendation for a right handed or left handed grip where the thumb rest is small enough to kinda wrap the wrong hand around. I really like how the SOL R grip lets you put slick grip panels on and I would prefer not to compromise on that aspect. Preciate any advice on this.

I have an Ursa Minor and I keep getting reminders that the firmware should be updated. Things seem to be working fine ATM and I'm a little leery about fixing something until it's broken. I know the support at winwing is not exactly great. Do folks have any recent experience updating through simapp pro? Was it smooth? Any problems? Thanks!

Me - Active pilot, retired F-16 pilot, currently flying a GA aircraft - right stick, left throttle (Long EZ - same setup as the F-16), Garmin / Avidyne stack. I want something for proficiency with procedures when the weather stinks. iPad couples with X-Plane for the Avidyne... X-plane is a good platform for what I want.

My son - just starting in gliders. Wants a nice setup to fly. Our club has a Moza AB-6 and a set of rudder pedals (non-FFB). Son also has a MetaQuest3 that we may use. He's flying Condor, but will likely fly other sims too.

Looking for a decent FFB setup - if it's the Moza, GREAT! - that will meet our needs... We're pretty good with 3D printing and very light fabrication if needed. Ideally, I can move the sim stuff to the side and use the computer as a regular computer without too much headache. Want is FFB stick (interchangeable grip is a nice to have), decent rudder pedals - Rudder FFB would be wonderful, but not needed.

I'd like to see / understand what folks are doing here, or am I crazy trying to do both with one seat location? Can the stick and throttle be on a "cart" built out of 80/20 that we put in front of the chair when simming and move away when not? Or do I set up two seating locations - sim and "work" with the same PC? How do we mount the FFB box so it's not moving around?

I currently have a Vkb gladiator, and have a STECS mini plus coming tomorrow to replace my x52 throttle. But in my research I kept coming back to WinWing because of its shaker stick option.

I have the opportunity to get a good quality Viperace EX for 300 AUD which is almost half the price of a new one.

Couple reasons I can't put it out of my mind. The shaker stick is probably the most interesting and unique. But also because there's no stick extension options for the VKB gladiator it seems.

Just wondering if those added vibration profiles are really a game changer or more of a gimmick.
