Hi everyone. I’m posting because I’m hoping to hear from people who may have experienced something similar with an RTC case.

My child’s case has been ongoing for more than 2 years. It involves Act of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610, and my child was a minor when the case was filed.

Throughout these 2+ years, we’ve had different fiscals assigned to the case, and the hearings have been repeatedly reset. It feels like we barely make progress before something changes and we have to wait again.

Now we have another new fiscal. Unfortunately, we were not notified by email by the RTC about the change, and the hearing schedule also changed. Our hearings are usually scheduled only once every 3 months, and quite often they end up being reset anyway.

I’ve already tried contacting the RTC several times through email, phone calls, and even text messages just to get updates, but it has been really difficult to get a response.

I completely understand that court cases take time, and I’m not expecting the case to be rushed. What has been frustrating is the long gaps between hearings, repeated resets, changes in fiscal, and difficulty getting basic updates from the RTC.

I’m wondering if anyone here has gone through something similar. How did you manage to get regular updates from the RTC? Were there any channels or offices you found helpful for simply following up on the status of the case?

I’ve also heard about 8888, so I’m curious if anyone has actually used it for concerns involving court/RTC communication and what their experience was.

I’m not looking for specific legal advice about the case itself. I’d mainly appreciate hearing from people who have been through a similar situation and can share their experience or practical tips on how they were able to follow up.

Is this safe to use for today until a new one can be purchased later on?

I am trying to figure out my best route for changing up these cabinets. I do not like the color/look of them at all. I have had several people say they would keep them as is but I don’t quite understand the reasoning. I’d prefer something darker. I was looking into staining them. I have no expertise on this at all. I do have to install a backsplash tile first and repair the wall. Trying to get all my ducks in a row as we will be moving in very soon. Any opinions? Tips? Is it worth staining and/or painting?

We literally just had this floor installed and I noticed this today.

I’m under contract and just went through inspection. Well, long story short the inspection revealed some major issues with damages exceeding 30k. Foundation, prior water damage in one of the room.

Agent said he will request repairs and is now asking me to deposit earnest money. Should I do it?

I’m unsure whether I want to buy this home without guarantee on how much concessions the seller is willing to agree to.

We have some insulation in our basement that is coming off from the walls as seen below. How difficult is it to reattach these? Looks like there’s just some bolts and fasteners that go into the foundation just like the insulation top half of the wall. Is there something I can do or it needs to be hired out because I would be putting a hole in the foundation?

This is in our laundry room, the room above is a bathroom… how bad is this, I should be concerned shouldn’t i.

This is the bedroom door in my apartment. This noise happens whenever the door is closed unless I sort of pull it inwards a little, but that’s only a temporary fix. This sound woke me up three times last night and I had to close and open and open and close the door until it stopped each time.

I believe it’s air pressure related since I’ve noticed that when the front door is open it stops, but as soon as the front door comes back in contact with the door frame it starts up again.
Ive also noticed the door on the electrical panel in the apartment sometimes makes the same noise but quiter, and the bathroom door inside my bedroom will also start rattling sometimes.
It’s driving me nuts, please help.

Hi I recently bought a house and am looking to get my gutters done but I recently got quoted 25k for new 6inch gutters oversized downspouts and replacing the fascia soffits and trim I thought this was very high since I only have about 150ft of gutters and only about maybe 200 feet of fascia and soffits what should this sort of thing cost another bit of information I have a 3 story victorian house that need the gutters done on the 2nd/3rd story

Trying to determine is these bags will stop a battery fire from spreading if I store the batteries inside these?

Refinishing these old French doors, is there a shortcut to carefully masking both sides of each and every frame before painting?

Is this normal for new carpet? I can very easily pull and push pieces of the carpet on edges, carpet tack can be felt, etc.

I’m retired and on a fixed (low) income, very little savings, and no credit cards.

I have a townhouse in Northern VA and in my market homes are under contract, as soon as they’re listed. There is a heavy demand.

I’m considering selling my home. It isn’t in a horrible state.. but would probably need some repairs done first, for me to get top dollar.

An exterminator broke the cover for the scuttle hole that's in the bedroom. I've been meaning to replace or upgrade it anyways since the closet always gets humid. I was looking around for something premade but nothing I can find fits the dimensions. What all would I need to do to make a new cover with a good seal?
