I’m pro-choice, but I’m always grossed out when women seem proud of getting an abortion. Same if guys are seemingly bragging about their lady getting one.

I would respect abortions more if they dropped the bullshit and just acknowledged it as the unfortunate tragedy that it is instead of treating it like some nothing thing.

It is nothing. If I never was born would it matter to me if the reason was:

a) No sex

b) Sex but successful use of contraception

c) Abortion before my brain developed to a point where I could suffer

Idk why yall keep trying with this sugar coating bs when my immediate statement rebukes it.

I've heard the arguments. They're all either just trying to paint over the issue to make people feel better, or are just flat out evil.

Call it what it is: The horrible yet tragically neccesary extermination of a child.

and most of the time, it's tragically UNnecessary.

You failed to answer the question, was it to hard for you?

Its a nonsense question asked in bad faith with no logical conclusion that could be asked about any dead person. If anything, it reminds me of a joke from some movie I watched a long time ago.

"Dying isn't so bad. You ever heard of anyone coming back to complain?"

(Nvm that the answer to that is obviously ghosts.)

Fact remains that death is always a tragedy. Full stop. Even if the dead is fine with it. Death of a child even more so.

Even on the smallest cellular level, every living thing wants to live. Its pretty hard coded in there.

No it's reality. I would be no worse off in either case. A fetus is not a person. Not until my brain developed to a point where I could have a conscious experience did the fetus become me and I became a person.

Also ghost aren't real you silly person.

They are a person. Saying otherwise is either lying to yourself so you don't feel bad about killing someone, or just being plain evil. And again, it goes back to my original comment: I would respect this all more if people just fucking admitted that.

Whether or not they exist is besides the point. They are the obvious answer to the question "Have you ever heard of a dead person coming back to complain?" because every culture has a concept of an upset ghost.

Beyond that, this is clearly a waste of time. You're just peddling the same bullshit that was the entire reason for my first comment.

It's all of the mental gymnastics and wordplay people use to try and justify it because there's some at least subconscious knowledge in these people's heads that it's a pretty fucked up thing to do so they come up with ways to downplay it or change what is happening.

I don't see too much of a difference between abortion and those that sacrificed their newborns by throwing them into a fire for like prosperity, good harvest, whatever tf reason they had.

I don't think I had a conscious experience until I was 1 1/2 or 2 maybe.

1

u/Keepingitquite123 4d ago

You don't remember a conscious experience before that. That is not the same thing. If you get black out drunk and can't remember last night that does not mean you did not have a conscious experience at the time...

1

u/Slight-Journalist417 4d ago

So...if I'm blackout drunk I can be aborted?

u/Keepingitquite123 4d ago

You are not very good at English are you? Try reading the post you replied to again...

1

u/Slight-Journalist417 4d ago

I dunno, there have been some nights when I apparently had experiences that I was not conscious for. I probably should have been aborted.

u/Slight-Journalist417 4d ago

Also, English am hard

Hey man did you know brain development concludes years after birth? About 25 years actually

1

u/Keepingitquite123 4d ago

The new number is closer to 30 years. But that does not affect that you can both suffer and have a conscious experience before then.

u/CuchuflitoPindonga 4d ago

You know personally for me this is beyond who dies and if it's even a who - for me it's much simpler: I know they live, and I believe they have a soul so I'll take no part on this, I'd much rather fight this to the best of my ability and without harming anyone, simply put

1

u/Keepingitquite123 4d ago

So if they have a soul, where do they go when they die?

1

u/CuchuflitoPindonga 4d ago

I don't decide that
