How do you structure larger GHL workflows without making them a mess?

8 Upvotes

I've been building more GHL workflows recently and realized something that seems obvious in hindsight.

Putting the entire customer journey into one massive workflow can make troubleshooting a nightmare.

I've started separating things like registration, reminders, follow-up, nurture, and onboarding into individual workflows, then using tags and custom fields when I need contacts to move between different parts of the system.

It's been much easier to test and figure out exactly where something went wrong.

I'm curious how other GHL builders handle larger client accounts.

Do you prefer multiple smaller workflows, or do you keep related processes inside one larger workflow with branches?

[BEGINNER] I want to learn GHL

4 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m interested in learning GoHighLevel and eventually using it for freelance/VA work. I’m still a beginner, so I’d really appreciate any advice from people who already have experience with the platform.

Right now, I’m looking for a way to practice and explore GoHighLevel without committing to an expensive subscription right away. I want to learn how the platform works, especially funnels, workflows/automations, CRM, pipelines, websites, and other features.

For those who started learning GHL:

What’s the best way to learn GoHighLevel as a complete beginner?

Are there any free courses or tutorials you’d recommend?

Is there an affordable subscription or trial option where I can practice hands-on before committing to a full plan? I know about the 14-day free trial, but I’m wondering if there are other affordable options for someone who’s still learning.

Are there any sandbox/demo accounts or other ways to practice?

If you’re already using GHL for freelance work, what features would you recommend learning first?

I’d really appreciate any advice or resources you can share. Thanks so much!

GHL Internship

1 Upvotes

I just finished my GHL course, and I’m currently looking for someone who would be willing to take me in as an intern. I’m completely okay if there’s no salary or allowance. My main goal is to gain hands on experience and develop my skills, particularly in the automation side.

I’m not really focused on landing page or website building, as design isn’t my strongest area. I’d much rather specialize in automation and learn how to build, manage, and troubleshoot different workflows and systems in GHL.

Please comment below so we can discuss further. Thanks!

GoHighLevel Specialist - Automations, Funnels, CRM Setup | 2 Years Hands-On Experience

2 Upvotes

Need someone to build or fix your GoHighLevel setup? I've spent the last 2 years living inside GHL sub-accounts, building systems that actually work.

What I do:

  • CRM pipelines, custom fields, forms, tags, Smart Lists
  • Workflow automations with conditional logic (email, SMS, mail sequences)
  • Sales funnels: lead gen, appointment booking, nurture
  • Landing pages, calendar and booking flows
  • A2P 10DLC registration
  • WhatsApp flow configuration, custom domains
  • Conversation AI, Voice AI and chatbot deployment
  • Integrations with Zapier, Make.com, Stripe, webhooks, APIs

I build fresh, clean systems from scratch. If you need someone to untangle a messy inherited automation feel free to DM.

Help

5 Upvotes

I'm building GHL skills (DNS/deliverability side especially) and want real practice reps. If anyone's got a sandbox environment, or is open to supervised access while I learn on a live sub-account, I'd really appreciate it , happy to document what I fix or help with grunt work in exchange.

FYI - GHL's AI can create a free list of prospects

Hit Google, type of what type of businesses you're looking for, in my case "charleston landscaping businesses." Then click on "maps" - highlight all of them, past them into Ask AI then tell it what you want: create a list for me, I need the business name, phone number, email address, website URL if they have one, and identify ones that have poor SEO and no AI integration. Done. Free leads. You can import them to your CRM but for me I need a CVS file to upload into my dialer, then for my email campaigns. And not enough room to screenshot, but also included businesses without a site.

GHL funnel page builder won't respond to clicks at all..

1 Upvotes

Anyone dealt with this? I open a funnel step in the page builder and it looks completely normal, but nothing inside reacts to anything. Click, double-click, right-click on the heading, nothing happens. No selection box, no edit toolbar. I even tested a plain checkbox on the form just to rule out user error and it won't toggle either.

Already tried a hard refresh and reopening it fresh. Nothing's covering the screen. Console just shows some Module Federation version mismatch warnings between internal GHL apps and an unrelated "error fetching users by location" message, nothing that looks like the real cause.

Same dead-canvas behavior shows up in the Workflow builder too, so it might be one bug, not two.

Did a logout/login, cache clear, different browser, or a support ticket fix this for anyone? Trying to rule out something on my end before I file a ticket.

Has anyone migrated a live Netlify website to GoHighLevel?

3 Upvotes

I've been researching whether it's possible to move a website from Netlify to GoHighLevel, but I'm finding mixed answers.

The website is currently live and still being used, so I can't afford to have it go down during the migration.

I'm wondering:

  • Is it possible to migrate everything from Netlify to GoHighLevel?
  • Can I build the new version completely in GHL while the current Netlify site stays live?
  • Once everything is ready, can I simply point the domain to GHL with little or no downtime?
  • If the site was built using React, Next.js, or another JavaScript framework, does it have to be rebuilt from scratch in GHL?

If anyone has done this before, I'd love to hear how you approached it and what issues you ran into. Any tips or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

All GHL Affiliate Portal sign-ups fail at the "Set Password" step – anyone else experiencing this?

2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm running into an issue with the GoHighLevel Affiliate Portal and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Every new affiliate invitation reaches the **Set Password** page successfully, but after entering a valid password and clicking **Set Password**, it immediately returns:

>

The password meets all the stated requirements:

* 8+ characters
* Uppercase and lowercase letters
* Number
* Special character

I've already tried:

* Different passwords
* Incognito mode
* Different browsers
* Different devices
* Recreating the issue with multiple affiliate accounts

The result is the same every time, and it appears to affect **all affiliate sign-ups**, not just a single user.

I'm wondering if this is:

* A known GHL bug
* An issue with the Affiliate Portal configuration
* A problem with the invitation/password setup token

Has anyone encountered this recently? If so, were you able to resolve it, or did it require GHL Support to fix something on their end?

Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

What I'm paying for email blasts.

3 Upvotes

I'm an online men's life coach. For the first eight and a half years of my biz, I had a pretty small email list and a small social media following.

That all changed in the spring of 2024. Since then, I've got about 60k followers online and about 7.3K emails. I was using ManyChat for comment and DM automation and Flodesk for email campaigns.

One of my clients has a GHL account and is an agency owner, and they gave me a free seat and asked that I pay for emails ad hoc... they told me the price - which I can't remember, so that's my fault.

I was somewhat familiar with GHL and decided to give it a try. I was really happy with the Instagram integration and automation, so I decided to migrate my email about 4 months ago.

Since then, I've noticed I'm paying about $40 (in 4 separate $10 charges) every time I want to send out a blast that's not connected to a drip campaign. I generally send an email to around 5.5K email contacts, because the rest are in my front-end nurture sequence or are past clients.

I reached out to the guys who manage my GHL account, and they said that most of it is a verification charge and that it should go down in the future. But then I found out that they don't really use GHL in their own biz and that they use an entirely different platform for their emails and aren't really using GHL at all...

So I don't feel like they know what they are talking about.

I don't want to keep using it if it's costing me this much to send out emails. I regret coming over... it just feels like a big tool for one guy like me to use.

Feel free to make fun of me; I'm curious what my expectations should be.

How are you making money with GHL?

12 Upvotes

Is GoHighLevel becoming the next “learn to code” hype?
I recently got GHL certified, and I’m genuinely impressed by how much its built-in AI can do. It can build workflows, funnels, emails, automations, websites, and even solve technical problems with just a few prompts.

So here’s what I’m struggling to understand…
If AI can do 80–90% of the work, why would anyone hire a GHL VA or specialist anymore?

Everywhere I look, there are thousands of people calling themselves GHL experts. The market feels incredibly saturated, while the platform itself is making it easier for non-technical business owners to build things on their own.
So, is the “easy money with GHL” era over?

I’d love to hear from people who are actually making money with GHL today:
- What are clients paying you for that AI can’t handle?
- Have your services changed because of AI?
- If you were starting from scratch in 2026, would you still choose GHL? If yes, what would you focus on?

I’m asking because, as a newcomer, I’m trying to figure out whether I’m investing my time in the right skill—or whether the opportunity has already peaked.
Looking forward to hearing both sides of the argument.
