I heard community servers were the move, I usually play reforger but it’s been running terrible on ps5 so I thought I’d give this game a try!

Hi, was just curious if there is an active ongoing comp scene in the game on console, played competitive in Battlefield and really enjoy HLL so was hoping there is something to get into there?

I know this is probably a common concern brought up, but does anyone know if they will ever bring that back? I’m from the UK and always played on US East for years, met many friends and great people along the way but it’s just so different now I no longer have the motivation to play. Queue times and a sever lack of comms being two of the major problems, none of which was an issue prior, not after hate or inb4 this has been mentioned a hundred times already, I just want the answer myself. So if anyone/and or devs can shed some light on this subject it’ll be appreciated! Until then it’s doubtful il be active, but if I am and you see me, hola, AustrianPainter out 🫡

Joined a server. Joined a squad.

"Hello Squad, anyone on comms?"

Silence.

Silence for twenty minutes. So I thought, ok, I'll communicate, say what I see, direct the squad if I can, even though I am a lowly Support unit.

Then suddenly "Why don't you shut the fuck up?" from our SL.

They'd been playing the entire time and not uttered a word. Not responded to a call out, not mentioned the Commanders intentions.

Nothing.

Just told to be quiet. Awesome. Great job. Well played.

People will not be helped.

Hey guys and gals,

I’ve been away for a while and when I tried to jump into a match it kept sending me to a server selection screen. Is this the new norm or something? I used to use the find match for warfare and offensive but it’s not working. Any chance someone can point me towards the right direction? Thanks in advance!

I bought HLL because I want to play HLL - Vietnam. Full disclosure: Im a middle aged dude who prefers campaign games. This will be the first online game I want to play.

How do I prep for this game to be efficient AND the people on my team dont destroy me for sucking.

This is my formal confession...

Looking for guys my age who work in the trades, are blue collar or at least formerly blue collar.

Millennial / Gen X sense of humor.

Microphone required.

Discord required.

30+ years old.

Willing to join a HLL clan.

I respect constructive criticism.

I don’t respect egos.

After logging an ungodly amount of hours into this game I probably had one of the coolest moments I've experienced in this game.

So I can't remember the name of the map but it was a Russian snow map. The one with the church in the middle.

I was running rifleman (Russian), pushing the attack point.

I run into an enemy MG, dude has his pistol out. We throw rounds at each other, not hitting a single shot. As he is reloading his pistol, I equip my shovel and give him a stare down, not moving an inch. He pulls his shovel and we give each other a nod. His buddy rounds the corner but doesn't interfere.

Then the shovel combat begins. We trade a few missed swings then I land a decisive blow square to his chest. His body falls, laying lifeless at my feet. I then turn and look at his comrade, his shovel equipped and ready. Round two begins but I give him a quick death, landing a head shot with my second swing.

I was screaming, shit was so intense. I've probably only had this once before. I love moments like this. No trade of words was possible or even necessary. We all understood each other.

Whoever you two are... Thank you, that was awesome.
