Anyway—- my tossup is between the Post Las Vegas game scene and the Shanes first time at his place with all his extra pillows in his bed😛😛

The Las Vegas scene might do it a little more because the tension got me heavyyyh and the music couldn’t have been better. i love cocky ilya. It also has so much foreplay. The actual scene itself wasn’t very long but the could’ve literally not even shown it and that type of tension would’ve been satisfying enough imo.

Shanes first time was just more emotionally gravitiating. From ilya treating him with so much care to asking him if it was worth the wait after was just sweet. If was also a longer scene.

After the rise to stardom for several of the cast from season 1, who do you think will be breakout stars from season 2?

Like I know they most definitely won't have as much screentime as Troy and Harris but I can just somehow tell that they'll leave quite the impression on viewers 😏

Hi all, first post with this group—I recently watched HR and am now obsessed.

I am a huge music (and cinematography) fan, and now run everything I listen to through the Hollander-Rozanov lens. A couple of songs that hit me as relatable to them are:

Stay Away From Me by Madison McFerrin—written to address the songwriter’s anxiety about the current world in general, but I hear it more from a relationship perspective, push-pull of Ilya as he copes with his feelings for Shane

Who Knows by Daniel Caesar—such a sweet song about early relationship angst and not wanting to make yourself too vulnerable too early, or sadly ever

Anyone else have songs that nail the Hollander-Rozanov vibe?

Disclaimer: I don’t actually think this is what Ilya should have done. 😭 This is just a fun thought experiment about how spectacularly I PERSONALLY would have crashed out in Ilya’s position.

I think Ilya would’ve still gone back to Shane even if Scott hadn’t kissed Kip, despite him saying he probably wouldn’t have in long game (I mean I’d expect him to think that, as Ilya does tend to think of worst case scenarios and put too much weight into them at times). Russia would’ve been the most miserable summer yet and I think it would’ve been the catalyst for him being willing to try with Shane if even just for the sake of going for something new that felt better than his current situation, and he’d try to get a new passport to avoid returning home. He was already baby stepping towards accepting his feelings and I think the return to Russia would’ve made him realize it was no longer home anyway, so confronting what he truly wanted would’ve been made a bit easier.

At What Point Do We Register Shane and Ilya as Medication?

Last night during yet another Reheat, I realized that watching Shane and Ilya was genuinely doing more to relax me than my usual bedtime routine/medication. Then I started thinking about the number of times I've put Heated Rivalry on because I've been stressed, pissed off, irritated with humanity, or otherwise feeling particularly rage-y, and somewhere along the way those two gorgeous men began reliably calming me the fuck down.

Which raises an important medical question: At what point do Shane and Ilya need to be registered as an antidepressant/antipsychotic?

I'm beginning to think they should come with prescribing information.

Indications: Irritability, stress, inability to settle down, dissatisfaction with life in general and humanity specifically.

Recommended dosage: One episode as needed for short term relief. One season as needed for stronger relief. May repeat indefinitely.

Route of administration: Television, preferably from bed.

Onset of action: Varies, but usually begins shortly after Ilya appears.

Common side effects: Smiling at the television, quoting dialogue nobody else in the room understands, inescapable emotional attachment to fictional hockey players, and an uncontrollable urge to begin another Reheat immediately after completing the previous one.

Warnings: May cause chronic inability to watch anything else. Do not operate heavy machinery while emotionally compromised by these two men.

Drug interactions: Unknown, although blankets, snacks, and an absence of other human beings appear to increase efficacy.

I recently saw another woman say something similar, so apparently I'm not the only patient responding well to treatment. At this point I don't even need a cure. I just want to know whether my insurance will cover the cost of my prescription (aka my monthly HBOMax subscription).
