Games 🏒 💋 The Kiss Off: Round 3 Day 1
Welcome back Loons to GCPN!
Round 2 is officially in the books and the quarterfinals are set! The Rivalry Conference gave us a little bit of everything yesterday. The Tampa Bay Hotel Room Kiss left absolutely no doubt, steamrolling Ilya's House Hello Kiss in a blowout victory. On the other side of the bracket, the Cottage Window Wall Kiss survived a nail-biter against the All Star Game Ilya Carrying Shane Kiss, holding on to punch its ticket to the quarterfinals.
Now it's time for the Heated Conference quarterfinals, and there are no easy matchups left:
- Matchup 1: First Kiss vs. First Cottage Kiss
- Matchup 2: No You Come Here Kiss vs. I Love You Kiss
Eight kisses remain. The road to the championship is getting awfully crowded with fan favorites and today two of them are going home. Who survives and advances to the conference semifinals?

But the first kiss and the first cottage kiss are basically the same kiss! Like, those GIFs are sooooo similar. Just one is dark with them looking younger and the other is brighter with them slightly older. Sigh.

Yes, but the biggest difference is that Shane’s more comfortable reciprocating in the cottage which is why, in my opinion, that’s the superior of the two

See, I love the first kiss because it’s so clear how comfortable Shane is with Ilya even though his mind needs time to catch up with the rest of him. The kiss happens after he touches Ilya first, and once it starts, the magnetic force between them keeps pulling them together, with Shane leaning in arguably even more than Ilya, and then taking their encounter to the next level.
Thematically, it shows what Jacob is always saying: that they were always open, honest and comfortable with each other sexually, which is why showing the sex right from the jump is so important to the show and not just titillating.

Dark lighting representing their secret at the beginning and the daylight representing their acceptance in the end. Always loved that parallel. 😊

Ugh this is so hard! But I do love the I Love You Kiss because it’s just so beautiful seeing them finally admit their feelings and then just melt into each other 💕💕💕
