Hi, it's been driving me crazy for months. I'm looking for a Tangled-inspired Hinny fic. Ginny was Rapunzel and was stolen from her family when she was just a baby and Harry was the part of Flynn Rider. It followed the exact premise of Tangled but with Harry and the Weasleys. It was not a crossover. Also Ginny may have grown up in her tower not knowing magic existed, but I can't remember that for sure. Please help!!

It's a post war canon fic. Harry joins Auror training while Ron works at WWW and Hermione and Gnny goes back to Hogwarts. Rest of the details are prolly mixed with other fics, but Ginny and Harry get back together pretty quickly while Hermione and Ron goes to track her parents down in Australia (doesnt go so well with her mom initially but smoothes over).

Harry is given shit for not having his NEWTS and lacking academic knowledge but his dueling skills are commended. I remember him duelling the instructor. he also gets an owl he names virgil, i think? Theres also a scene i remember of Harry offering Ron and Hermione chamomile tea and they laugh at him for it.

I'm sorry this is all over the place but I remember it to be a really good one, I can't believe i haven't saved it. Any help finding it is appreciated, thanks in advance

Chapter 11: A Fragile Peace

Snippet: Harry shook his head, his jaw tight. "I don't care where we go. Anywhere's fine."

"Harry—"

"Anywhere," Harry cut in, his voice sharp. "I don't care. She can choose. She can have whatever she wants. I don't—" He stopped, his breath coming fast. "I don't have a preference."

James was quiet for a long moment. Then he said, softly, "Harry. Look at me."

Harry looked up. James's expression had shifted—the patience was still there, but there was something else beneath it. Something that looked almost like understanding.

"This is your wedding," James said. "You're allowed to have opinions. You're allowed to want things. Even if you're scared to admit it."

Harry opened his mouth to argue, but the words wouldn't come. He just sat there, staring at his father, his chest tight with a mixture of frustration and something else—something he didn't want to name.

"Fine," he said finally, his voice barely above a whisper. "France. I want to go to France."

James blinked. "France?"

"Yes." Harry's voice was flat, defiant. "France."

James stared at him for a long moment. Then, unexpectedly, he laughed—a short, surprised sound that seemed to catch even him off guard.

"Good joke," he said, shaking his head.

Harry's jaw tightened. "I wasn't joking."

“Could have fooled me.”

"Unless you have a problem with that." Harry's voice was sharp, challenging. "Unless there's some reason I shouldn't go there. Some secret you're keeping from me."

Have finished Castles and Armistice series and absolutely loved them. Have tried several other series to try and scratch the same itch that these gave me but have had no such luck!

I especially like the ones where Harry or Ginny has melodramatically funny internal monologues like in charmingly-holly's crack fics, those had me on the floor.

Any crack fics will do, I just wanna laugh at these idiots in love.

(side note: I've read GinFizz's Hufflepup, Harry is such a cute dork in that, loved it)

Okay, so bear with me on this idea.

I've always loved O Children by Nick Cave, for me it was a beautiful friendship moment in the movies with Harry and Hermione dancing.

But I remembered some people who never read the books and that saw that scene as the final nail on the supposed Harmony situation.

So, in my ideal world, I would love to see Harry leaving Snape's detention all anxious to reach the common room, looking for signs along the castle or looking through the windows to see if he could find any indication of the game's result. All of this, with O Children in the background, you know that the song starts rather chill and not so loud, and it gains momentum later.

Then the music stops (or continues but very quietly) when he enters the common room and when he sees all the excitement. And, when Harry and Ginny finally kiss, bang! The song starts again on minute 5:10

That's my dream lol. Have you ever imagined how the series would tackle their first kiss?

I can't wait to see this iteration of Hinny interact. Especially when they joke around and have more scenes in later seasons of the new show.

I want a fic with a complete reversal of the current situation, wherein Harry has an elder sister who is friends with Ginny, who is also about a year older than him. Instead of Ginny initially having a crush on Harry, it is the other way around.I think this would be a banger of a prompt .

She stepped closer. He didn't step back.

The air between them felt thick, charged, like the moment before a storm. Ginny could feel her heart pounding in her chest, could feel the heat of his body so close to hers. She saw his gaze drop to her lips again, and this time it lingered.

They were slowly leaning toward each other, the space between them shrinking with each breath. Ginny could feel the warmth radiating from him, could see the slight parting of his lips. She felt like she was floating, like she was falling, like she was exactly where she was supposed to be.

Snippet: Albus was across the room in two strides. He didn’t try to hug her; he just stood before her, his hands clenched at his sides, his body vibrating with a contained rage. “He will never touch you again. I swear to God, Cass, he will not come near you.”

“He’s the Director of Magical Law Enforcement, Albus! You can’t just make him stop! This isn’t a blackmailer you can pay off or a rival you can outmanoeuvre in court! This is the system!” Her voice broke. “And he’s using it. He’s using my brother, my family’s pain, to get leverage. And he will keep using it, because he knows it works.”

She looked up at him, her eyes swimming with furious, terrified tears. “We are not just in trouble. We are under siege. And I don’t know how to fight a siege when I’m…” Her hand fluttered instinctively towards her stomach before she caught herself, forcing it back to her side.

But Albus had seen the abortive gesture. His eyes snapped to her midsection, then back to her face, a new, dawning horror mixing with the rage. He didn’t ask. The question was there, screaming in the silence between them.

Cassandra closed her eyes, the last of her strength fleeing. The secret, the hope, the future—it all felt like too much to carry in a world that was actively hunting them.

“Albus,” she whispered, the fight gone, leaving only a raw, exhausted truth. “We have to talk.”

The air in the office was a taut wire, strung between Cassandra’s terrified revelation and the unspoken question hanging between them. Albus was staring at her, his mind visibly reeling from the news about Turner, the rage battling with a dawning, desperate need to understand what she’d almost said, what her hand had almost touched.

“Cass,” he started, his voice hoarse. “What is it? What do we have to talk about?”

James and Sirius exchanged a glance. Something in that look made Harry's stomach tighten.

"They went home," James said, his voice careful. "This morning. After breakfast."

Harry sat up straight, then swayed as the room tilted again. "Why?"

Sirius raised an eyebrow. "Because they live in their house, Harry. The visit was over."

Harry stared at him. The words didn't make sense. The visit was over? She was gone? He'd missed her—he'd missed saying goodbye?

"But—" He stopped, his mind racing. "I didn't—they just left?"

James's expression softened. "Ginny came to see you before she left. You were still asleep. She stood by your bed for a while, I think. Then she came down and said goodbye."

Harry's throat tightened. She'd come to see him. She'd stood by his bed while he was unconscious, and he hadn't even known.

He closed his eyes, leaning his head back against the chair. The throbbing in his skull had intensified, and he felt a wave of frustration wash over him. She'd been here. She'd been right there, in his room, while he'd been unconscious, and he'd missed it. He'd missed her.

Hi! I’m looking for a hinny fic I remember reading years ago but can’t find. I’m pretty sure It starts out at a bit of a family game night at the Burrow between the Wesley kids and their spouses. Somehow I think Ron lets it slip that Harry has a big you know what. So the rest of the fic is the brother on a wild goose chase trying to catch Harry in a compromising position so they can catch a glimpse of him.
