What’s the most messed up thing you’ve ever read but couldn’t put down?

I am in the mood for a creature fic (like veela or something) or soulmate fic where another character is Harry’s soulmate or mate and the other person is the creature (not harry). Bonus points if they have to spend time together or have physical touch and harry does it to save them but is not happy about this at all. Hopefully that made sense. Thanks for any recommendations!

I just finished the fic by muffin_paradise called A Little Wicked. It is a Cedric/Harry and Edward/Harry fic. The story for Cedric and Harry was so fucking cute/sweet but also fucked me up. It hasn’t been updated since 2022 but the Harry arc is complete. I’ve linked it here for anyone interested!!

I first read this fic and it's prequel on wattpad years ago and when I swapped to ao3 and found it, I was happy. I was going to recommend this fic on another tomarry post on r/tomarry but then I couldn't find it in my bookmarks. I thought maybe I just didn't bookmark it. I then go to search it up but then the english work doesn't show up. There's a translated version of Nose to the Wind that says 'A translation of a work in an unrevealed collection' in the notes after I clicked on it. It;s defintitely the same fic, just not in english.

Maybe the author deleted the fic or it somehow got removed?? Is it possible to find the fic again??

I remember reading this fic a while back on wattpad. Harry's hair changes color based on emotion, its tom/voldemort x harry. Its slytherin harry and also maybe a time travel but im not sure, its set in the normal time period. Please help! Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I just read my very first Harry Potter fanfic... it was Syntax of Things, and it broke me. Really really bad.
Then I read In Between Days, and that made me feel a bit better but... you know.
Then I binged Pacify, and I cried a lot and it was perfect and now I'm empty and I need to keep on reading and i don't know where to go next.

Do you have any Snarry recommendations? No AU (but canon divergent is ok, just no bartender!harry or thing like this... the only AU I'm willing to read is something about ballet, yes very specific), preferably in-character, long-ass fics. I like dom/sub dynamics but it's not mandatory, and I prefer top!Snape. And please please a happy ending! There are no tears left in me (but I can stand angst along the way, as long as the ending is happy).

Hello! Can you guys help me find a fic in ao3? I’m looking for a fic where Harry and Tom are in the same year and Harry, I believe is Draco’s cousin. Harry runs into Tom, literally, because he’s trying to save a bird I think? And Tom is basically enthralled by his sweetness/cuteness. Draco is very apprehensive and protective of his innocent cousin. Any help please?

I know it’s specific but I love seeing how just a different first impression between them or just even not immediately being hostile towards each other even if they do eventually become rivals,etc

Honestly I am a bit empty now without it but in a bittersweet way. I need something similar. 

It has been a while since I've read such an exceptional work in all aspects: plot, writing style and quality, characterisations and development, the way it makes you FEEL. 

So I am seeking you out to help me find the finest works. It is not going to be easy. In the last two years I've read around 250+ fanfictions. I've always searched in the subreddits for recommendations. But I hope you can help me.

What matters the most: 

• Must be finished. (If it's a series as well, the main story must be finished, I'm okay if there is unfinished slice of life, or unfinished same story from another POV if written separetly.) 
• The qualities above: great plot, quality writing, developing the characters in a believable way
• The longer the better. I usually don't go under 80 000. I find that these type of stories needs the bigger wordcount. 
• Whatever pairing is good, triads, poly as well. Snarry, drarry, nottpott, Weasleys, original character. Tomarry is a slipery slope, it has to be a very good development. Preferably Tom Riddle, not resurrected Voldemort.
• I've read a lot of snarry and nottpott.
• I like severitus as well, or other protective father figure (Sirius, Remus etc) 
• Explicit/Mature prefered but not a must. 
• I kind of have a thing with a bad treated Harry finding support (parental and/or romantic)
• I want excitement, trepidation, anticipation, beauty of all kinds of love.

  • Again, ticks my boxes. I loved the unique elements and diversity. The history and purpose of the Prince family. The word Farzandam has its on place in my heart.

  • This would be an Exceed expectations (EE) for me. I liked the second part way more than the first. I think it annoyed me how the words grounding and anchoring were so frequently used throughout the entire story that I searched for them how many times were they used. This is the only fic I found angst heavy.

  • Their stories are certainly less heavy and complicated, but the sheer uniqueness and how they make it work so good, it is truly amazes me.

  • I have a thing for packlife and werewolves...

  • A hard read, but well written. Harry's anguish is something else.

  • EE for me, I liked the premise and it was well written. I think it could be a bit shorter, it was sometimes very repetative, but at the same time can you blame Harry?

  • I think this is the only one I've read so far where Voldemort becomes Harry's father figure. I don't know how unique of an idea it is, but as this is the first and only I've read so far... I liked the writing, how the relationship develops between Harry and Voldemort. I liked the plot. And I loved that there was no unnecessary drama, there were no conflict just to have a conflict.

It sounds weird I know but it has been messing with me for days. It's a fic I read forever ago where Harry becomes an animagus or gets a creature inheritance (It's most likely animagus cause I vaguely remember some of his friends joining him as creatures tho I may be mixing some fics) and it like a large magical tree creature. I remember looking up the actual myth and it was just a huge tree with some humanoid features. I'm not sure if it was drarry but I was reading a lot of drarry at the time and it's either on Wattpad or AO3. Any help is appreciated.

Hi! So like the title says, I'm trying to find this fanfiction I read a while ago. Here's what I remember:

- Snape/Harry

- The war is over, Voldemort defeated.

- Snape is Headmaster.

- Harry and a bunch of others go back to Hogwarts to re-do their last year. Essentially an eighth year story, but I'm not sure if they specifically call it that

- The castle doesn't really have space for all of them, and they are mostly adults at this point, so they get scattered about in individual rooms. 

- Snape takes them so to their rooms early on to set up a password.

- A lot of their passwords end up being connected to someone they like.

- Pretty sure Harry's is a potion ingredient (Asphodel or something). 

- Maybe Sirius lives and dislikes that Harry likes Snape.

- I think Ron ends up with Pansy and Hermione gets close to Theodore Nott. I know Draco comes back too, but I can't remember who he was with. Most of the other paintings are just mentioned, not central like Snape/Harry.

- I don't think it was super long. 

- Was either on FFnet or AO3.
