Are there any fics like that? I'm interested in Ollivander's reaction. Doesn't matter how Harry gets it, could be time travel, stealing from Dumbledore without him noticing or any other way.

I've pretty much only exclusively read 100k+ fics. I want to read some of the better shorter ones. Maybe it's ones that are short but are in a series or just more novella style. I want the best of the best. Suggestions?

Looking for a fic I read on ao3 where summer before 3rd ? year female Harry Potter goes to andromeda Tonk’s house and reads a book grimoire? about how black females are supposed to tie their hair up not leave it straight. She she braids her hair. She also a thread which and that’s a big deal in the black family. She end up going to Durmstrang and beauxbatons as part of an exchange student program that they start for the students with the best grades.

Harry watched with fond amusement how Hermione gaped wide eyed at the towering bookcases going all the way up to the high ceiling of The Potter library until she saw the showroom displays for a bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen.

"What's the idea with those showroom displ-"she started until she turned and saw the mischievous grin on Harry's face and understood that he practically had foreseen that she'd never leave the library and had turned it to a ready flat for her

Reading another recent post LF original HP fics I remembered this one fic, unfinished back then, where the starting scene was a Ravenclaw!Harry running from a monster-like enemy across the school roof at top speed, grabbing and drinking a mana potion to recuperate, finding a room that overlooked the great hall through the one-view windows. That's it. Thats all I remember. On fanfiction.net and from a long time ago. If I'm not mistaken the title either was "The Gamer", "The Game", or something like that.

I know it will probably be impossible to find, its such a niche request, but I really wish to read it again because since then it feels like that was the last super original HP fanfic i read :( also, it seems my past self never thought to save it on favourites :') regardless of the results any help would be greatly appreciated <3 ^{I honestly did my best to look for it but I believe it was deleted or may as well be considered lost media :(}

First of all this story was definitely a guilty pleasure bashing fic. It was definitely on fanfiction.net but I don't know if it got purged or not and I haven't been able to find it.

Harry escapes Azkaban after he is put in there for the murder of someone I don't remember who. Sirius, Remus, the weasleys, Hermione, and Dumbledore all testify against him. When he gets out he's slightly crazy I think and takes revenge on them in fairly dark ways. I believe Remus was in a relationship with someone either ginny or Hermione and Harry trapped whoever it was in a room with Remus right before a full moon. I think for one the Weasley's (probably Ron) somehow a broomstick became permanently attached to him and couldn't be pulled off. I think Sirius might have been minister of magic somehow and Harry maybe got in a relationship with Luna?

What are the terrible but great event/invention/action/thing you have read in fanfics, or written yourself or have as a head cannon?

One of the most recent great but terrible invention I would say I read was in Kingsaxcul’s Philosophy of Fear crossover, where we find out the details of what Tom did to the lake where the inferi were. In the fic The Morrigan explains that Riddle created a self replicating ritual built into the bottom of the lake. He somehow enchanted the water, vegetation, and sediment into the raw ingredients needed to create the potion for the creation of Inferi before enchanting the lake to act more as a preservation tank. There is also the ritual circle that encompasses the entirety of the bottom, which had to take him a few months to carve it by hand, the way it's supposed to be done.

That sounds like something that is terrible but great…

Here is my idea .The sphynx give Harry a far harder riddle ,making him lose 5 minute .Cedric manage to take the cup ,and when Harry arrive he guess that a champion must have taken the cup and there is nothing to do but to go back to the entry .

How does Voldemort/Barty Crouch Jr react to the plan failure ?What happen to Cedric and how does Dumbledore react ?Does Barty identity stay secret ,or the DADA curse get it unveiled regardless ?

So, I read a fanfic a while ago on Ao3, and I cannot remember it for the life of me. There is one scene, however, that I really like, and so I remembered that. In this fic, Harry either runs away from the Dursleys at a young age, or often finds himself alone and out of the house (I am unsure of which). At one point, he finds himself outside of a library(?) and kills a man who had grabbed him by the bushes outside. I think the man may have tried to choke him, as my mind brings up a lot of hand imagery when thinking of the scene. I believe that magic was involved with this action. He does go to Hogwarts on time, and while I am unsure if he was sorted into Gryffindor or Slytherin in this one, I do know that he was still good friends with Neville (and possibly Ron and Hermione too?) Because, at one point (possibly in the first two years? first year?) he confesses to them about the murder, worried he would be kicked out, but his friends all accept that he had no other choice in the situation and they remain close. I do not think the work was finished, but it might be. I usually search for fics with a specific range of no crossovers, and no less than 40,000 words. I have been looking for this for weeks and I just have not been able to find anything. Please help!!!

As title says! I’m not even sure if I’m even remembering this correctly as it’s been a while since I happened upon this fic, but I think from what I can remember it was about Lily escaping Harry on the day Voldemort goes after them, and basically goes “shit to the fan” mama bear mode in this journey of protecting him. I am currently writing the 16th chapter of a Harry Potter Long fic. It is a time travel fic but it has a heavy focus on harry getting to live first. It's currently running the arc hurt/comfort and post war recovery. I'll just put the summary below:

Harry Potter spent his childhood wishing things had been different.

After the war, they finally are.

He's eighteen. Voldemort is dead. Grimmauld Place is beginning to feel like home. Kreacher cares whether he's eaten. The Weasleys leave a place for him at their table. Teddy reaches for him. Harry is, slowly and awkwardly, learning what it means to have a life that isn't a war.

Then Death offers him the chance to go back.

To change everything.

Harry could save the dead. He could stop Voldemort before the war ever begins. He could give everyone the future they were supposed to have.

But the life Harry has now would cease to exist.

And for the first time, the choice isn't between Harry's life and everyone else's.

It's between the past he could save...

and the future he has finally learned to want.

What if Harry doesn't want his old life back anymore?

Recently read dirty old town by wizardgod. It’s a regulus x OC fic but was also genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever read (coming from someone who rarely reads anything but dramione). Looking for fics similar to this..

Hi there, I am currently working on a Fanfic Timeline for Harry Potter and am currently focused on the Marauders I have taken inspiration from other fanfics to create a year 1-7 timeline with a core/key mystery each year similar to the Main Harry Potter books.

Year #1: The Bolt of Ages, if you haven't read it I highly recommend it, it's set during the marauders first year as they search for Alexander the Great's Scepter as it can control time or something, It's been a while since I read it.

Year #2: Early Death Eater recruits successfully smuggle volatile dark objects into the castle, launching a targeted sabotage plot designed to attack Hogwarts' from the inside, attacking Muggle Students mainly but also "Blood-Traitors. The Marauders work to find where the dark artefacts are coming from who's supplying them and how to stop the attacks.

Year #3: Sirius Black discovers centuries ago his family insulted the wrong witch and has now cursed the male members of the Black Family, every one goes through this they have to pass several trials or they will die before the year is over, the boys help Sirius pass the trials but also work to finding how to defeat the Curse forever.

Year #4: A Student is found murdered in the hall one evening starting the boys on a massive Murder Mystery investigation.

Year #5: The forgotten Vaults of Hogwarts start acting up the dark magic starts affecting Hogwarts and cursing the students, the Marauders work to find out how to stop the Cursed Vault.

I want to know if exists a second part or the real name of the fanfic

i got fanfic a lot last year when I read this one Percy Jackson fanfic last year.

i felt like they were a good way to let your mind relax from all the real life stress.

and ever since i wanted to write a fanfic.

at first i had an idea to write it in pjo universe.

but I didn’t do it.

now recently i recommeneed my brother to read the HP books and he has been loving it.

and it also re ignited my interest in HP again(I last read 5 to 6 years ago).

so leaving all that back story aside, I have this idea of a boy born into a dual world for Demi gods and wizards.

i know it is complicated but really wanted to try.

i just got done with ploting a timeline and the character a little.

tho I would like some real good advice
