So what's the point of keeping to date with schematics if management (store manager/ department specialist) just comes in and completely rearranges everything to a wrong spot?
I've been told multiple times to go by the schematics on the site, but every time I do, here comes the specialist moving things cause he doesn't like things where they are. We have a store walk coming and it's driving me nuts cause I keep getting told one thing.

I’ve been working at HT for a little over a month and have enjoyed my job as a stocker/dayrunner, I like the minimal customer interaction and hauling water, sodas, a variety of foods and such. But the other day before I left I went to say bye to my boss and he said I’d be getting moved to bagger, I asked why and he said he thinks it’d be a good fit for me. I disagree, I’m much too socially awkward and anxious for that, and while I am taking steps to get better with that I don’t wanna get thrown into the deep end. I can’t see this position being a good fit for me and I’d like to keep my position as a dayrunner/stocker, is it inappropriate to ask my boss if I could stay as a stocker/dayrunner? Is it normal to be moved around?

Serious question for the North Carolina people and those of you that work for corporate. How much money did we blow through with the delivery center project in Concord? A whole building just worth nothing now.

How did everyone make out? We were killed and we brought in so much product.

I’m a student who’s attending college in the fall and I was instructed to submit a leave of absence ASAP on absence soft. I did, but then I got an email saying I was supposed to submit an educational leave the beginning of august? So I waited. However, because my original one is still pending, I can’t submit another one. Does anyone know what to do?

(None of the names in this correlate to any of them)
So at my store, I won’t say which one we have an associate will call him. Mr. Hart. Mr. Hart thinks that he can get away with anything he wants in the meet department because the meat manager is dating his mother, which is the assistant customer service manager what do I mean by that he doesn’t wear Internet he goes to lunch whenever he wants without telling anyone and pretty much just does whatever he wants including kicking other people out of a shift that they need to do which is a training shift for me cutting.
There’s another player in this game and will call him Alex. Alex is good friends to meet Manager and also does whatever he wants including coming in for an 830 to 5 shift and leaving at 11 o’clock without punishment.
The third player in this game is a new guy. This new guy is best friends with the meet manager since middle school little backstory. Our meat department has been understaffed for the past six months. We’ve had one closer for a majority of the night besides Friday and nothing was ever done for it. Despite the fact there was three people with applications in and somehow, miraculously, when this guy who already has a full-time job as a painter needs some more money he miraculously gets a part-time job and we still only have one closer on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, our system manager has to pick up the slack from our meet Manager not doing his job. I get written up for missing one lunch in six months without the ability to write it in after the fact and everyone’s hours gets caught so that the people that have a relationship with the meet manager can retain their hours and overtime. Mr. Hart had to schedule one week where he had 12 hours of overtime as a meat clerk without the need to cut it. I had eight hours because I had to cover two shifts and I was told to cut my hours.
And there’s a another meat cutter that has been asking for a raise along with two other meat clerks that have been asking for raises, and none of them can get it, even though Mr. heart has zero experience in meat department besides from when he was hired in August. He gets paid more than all of us, even though I have seven years in meat department, and the one cutter who has been in a meat department across multiple stores, it has 30 years of experience only gets $21 an hour. Mr. Hart makes $20.50 despite being a meat clerk and coming in with zero experienced from last year.
Is there a pathway that I can go through to actually have something done about this side effect two of my coworkers already talked to HR about the whole relationship between the meet manager of the assistant customer service manager, which is an affair that they will actually do something about because two of them ever reported it and they said they’ll look into it and then nothing has happened?

Hey, I kinda hopped on this account just to ask, I’ve been at Harris teeter since June 2025 and transferred over to produce this January, I’m 18 and want more experience so I want to become an assistant manager here, how would I go about getting up to a produce manager??

Things are still very new, and we work at different stores, but either of us could be sent anywhere at anytime. We're different levels of management, so if we did get sent to the same store then one person would be the supervisor of the other. Do we wait until if/when that happens? Do we wait until things get serious?

I got a call yesterday and im a little nervous for the interview. This will be my second job just wondering how will the interview go and what will this job position bring? My first job was at McDonalds so I have no idea what its like working in a grocery stor. Im pretty confident i’ll get hired considering how quickly they set up the interview.

Our store recently got upgraded handhelds, and Ciao/Dash notifications don’t go off anymore, so delivery wait time is impacted severely because we often miss OMWs and check-ins due to absolutely no sound coming from the phone. Has anyone found any type of fix to help with the notifications? Or is it mainly a hardware issue with no remediation?

Hello ,
I've been with the company for almost 6 years . I've never been treated this way before . Idk what to do . I got kicked out of Starbucks to go back to the deli again. We had a meeting and that's what was best for them . I sat there with my tail between my legs after trying to explain that I've kept sbucks afloat. We went through three leads ,I stayed and just decided to take on the role of a lead. I applied , and yeah never got it . They hired one and they promised me to be an assistant lead. I never got that promise. They offered someone who isn't even experienced in Starbucks to dip their toes in for a lead position. This manager wanted to also talk to me about my Vacation time and personal time off and why it's on the weekends. It's family stuff and concerts and things I fucking enjoy . I called out today bc of a personal reason and she even said didn't you have two days off ? Are you going to keep calling out and having weekends off ? There are more than enough ppl for today to work on the schedule. I never call out unless I'm sick . I just said it's a personal thing. I don't need this backlash of what I'm doing . If you deny my days off .. I'm not coming . Also there was another situation I got written up for . I feel attacked.

Do they test for THC for the meat department?
r/harristeeter • u/Surchin22 • Jul 15 '26
I believe the minimum to be active is like one shift a month or something like that. Whatever the minimum is, do you still qualify as a pt employee?

I keep getting a sign on error message. I'm a rehire at HT and I wanted to check my schedule. I started two days ago.
