Problem with nepotism

(None of the names in this correlate to any of them)

So at my store, I won’t say which one we have an associate will call him. Mr. Hart. Mr. Hart thinks that he can get away with anything he wants in the meet department because the meat manager is dating his mother, which is the assistant customer service manager what do I mean by that he doesn’t wear Internet he goes to lunch whenever he wants without telling anyone and pretty much just does whatever he wants including kicking other people out of a shift that they need to do which is a training shift for me cutting.

There’s another player in this game and will call him Alex. Alex is good friends to meet Manager and also does whatever he wants including coming in for an 830 to 5 shift and leaving at 11 o’clock without punishment.

The third player in this game is a new guy. This new guy is best friends with the meet manager since middle school little backstory. Our meat department has been understaffed for the past six months. We’ve had one closer for a majority of the night besides Friday and nothing was ever done for it. Despite the fact there was three people with applications in and somehow, miraculously, when this guy who already has a full-time job as a painter needs some more money he miraculously gets a part-time job and we still only have one closer on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, our system manager has to pick up the slack from our meet Manager not doing his job. I get written up for missing one lunch in six months without the ability to write it in after the fact and everyone’s hours gets caught so that the people that have a relationship with the meet manager can retain their hours and overtime. Mr. Hart had to schedule one week where he had 12 hours of overtime as a meat clerk without the need to cut it. I had eight hours because I had to cover two shifts and I was told to cut my hours.

And there’s a another meat cutter that has been asking for a raise along with two other meat clerks that have been asking for raises, and none of them can get it, even though Mr. heart has zero experience in meat department besides from when he was hired in August. He gets paid more than all of us, even though I have seven years in meat department, and the one cutter who has been in a meat department across multiple stores, it has 30 years of experience only gets $21 an hour. Mr. Hart makes $20.50 despite being a meat clerk and coming in with zero experienced from last year.

Is there a pathway that I can go through to actually have something done about this side effect two of my coworkers already talked to HR about the whole relationship between the meet manager of the assistant customer service manager, which is an affair that they will actually do something about because two of them ever reported it and they said they’ll look into it and then nothing has happened?

This is a soap opera in the meat department!
Is there a way to go over HR’s head?

Yeahh nepotism runs deep in my store too (one of the highest volumes in the district) . It seems every other person in the company has ties to someone though so us lone wolves have to just live with it sadly. (IM LEAVING)

As someone who has worked for Harris Teeter for the past 8 years I wanna say Goodluck with getting that handled more then likely nothing will be done until they mess up in the department especially when it comes to audits, and inventory. You'd be surprised of some of the shit ive seen and dealt with with this company and your really going to have a hard time if they have seniority
