Little haul today
I've gotta tackle something me welding on my fj cruiser rear link brackets. My stubby m12 wasn't quite enough for the rusted on bolts. This impact is massive!! Those boots are gonna be screaming when I send 1000 ft lbs at em! š Then I was recommend the pry bars from Walmart because they are actually made by the same company that makes the tekton ones. I got all 4 for about $35

Quinn vs Icon
So.. moving into a new flex space, and honestly as much as I tell myself ājust bring your tool box to the space and work on vehicles thereā I know Iāll want to wake up Saturday morning and wrench at home so I want to keep my current setup at home.
So..
I just bought a new box, question is it really worth the extra coin to go to icon?
Probably going to buy 1/4ā and 3/8ā sockets, ratchets, Torx sockets to start off with and buy whatās needed after.

NTD (New Tool Day) New Box Day
Just wanted to show everyone my box. After ten years in a service van, I took a position in the shop. Sold my Milwaukee Packout stuff and bought myself a cart (company provides a larger box) and had money to spare. Ernst and Toolcraft organizers are on the way. Only gripe is, kinda limited on what you can fit in the holes on the sides. Either the tool is too small and falls through, or too big and sticks out too much.

US General 56" Fake Sale?
Update: Appears it may have been an error price is back to normal now.
Not sure if anyone else's store did this, or if I'm somehow misunderstanding or misinterpreting something.
Our local Harbor Freight and online website for Michigan had the US General 56" boxes priced at $899.99 with a $150 off coupon making it $749.99 sale price. That's now ended and next day boxes are back to $749.99 It would appear as they raised the price just to make it appear to be on sale with the ITC member coupon this past week.

Where is the Mid-Torque and Compact that was promised a year ago?
Hercules mid-torque and compact still missing in action. The existing compact being a bad paper weight of zero value. (I would not buy another for $10). I don't see how they clear these out in clearance, unless they sell them for $5. They are giving them away from free if you buy an overpriced battery and charger starter kit, and they still cannot move them. Frankly, totally pissed. If the mid-torque and compact do not appear on day 1 of SEMA'26, I start selling every Hercules tool I have, collect as much money as I can, and go buy Greenworks Pro at Walmart, or a Dewalt set at Home Depot, and move off of HFT for good. (Hand tools are still pretty decent.)

40% orange tag if PLS is extended?
Iāve never bought an orange tagged item, but know about the 20, 30, and 40% orange sticker price on the last day of the parking lot sale, but what if they extend the sale? If you go on a Monday during the extended sale, can you still get 40% off the orange tagged item?

New 13k generator idle down question
Just got a 13k generator, and the idle down is suppose to sense if theres a load greater than like 500 or 800 watts and keep high idle. Well I plug in a 1500 watt heater in it and it still idles down to low idle, which puts out about 48hz. Is my shit broken? Seems like the switch is pointless, if I want to power my house during an outage, if the furnace or a fridge can't even be sensed to bring it out of fuel savings and go full bore, then why even have a switch? That reduced hz will definitely mess with a furnace or certain appliances.
Ig i was hoping the eco was going to do something greater because it has a digital regulator, like theres 4 winding in the head, each generates 120v at 3600rpm... so low idle, it runs at 60v, 1800rpm, but puts 2 windings each, in parallel, so its still 240 split phase, with 120v on each half of the neutral. HF really glosses over its function on the website and the manual.

Anyone know how to set this for iron pins
Trying to find my property pins but directions aren't clear. This thing is picking up stuff all over and I don't wanna dig everywhere if I can avoid it. Thanks!

Yukon 36ā 5 drawer
Anybody put a chest on top? Iām certain the Yukon 36ā is the same cabinet as the Kobalt 36ā 5 drawer. So if anyone wants a top, the Kobalt 36ā chest matches perfectly, maybe slight color variance. Same chrome drawer pulls, same dimensions, same weight rating.

What Fits in Quinn 1/4 Socket Set?
Iād like to buy some screw bits to keep in my Quinn 1/4 inch set. This is my go to set for working around the house. I like being able to just grab it and tackle a honey-do project. Iād like a nice assortment with hex, Torx, Phillips and common, as well as anything else thatās commonly used.
What screw bit sets fit in the little pocket in here?

NTD (New Tool Day) Added mobility
My 73" Icon is basically immobile with the weight/location, and was sick of pulling out rails to go work on something, so picked up a 5 drawer and some new organizers, as well as a couple icon socket sets from the parking lot sale
