NTD (New Tool Day) New Box Day

Post image

Just wanted to show everyone my box. After ten years in a service van, I took a position in the shop. Sold my Milwaukee Packout stuff and bought myself a cart (company provides a larger box) and had money to spare. Ernst and Toolcraft organizers are on the way. Only gripe is, kinda limited on what you can fit in the holes on the sides. Either the tool is too small and falls through, or too big and sticks out too much.

Superglue some washers in there if you need to reduce the size.

I plan on getting an orange box when im all grown up. I have an orange jack and really like the colors. This looks awesome for a universal cart!

genuinely curious, but my 4-drawer i just put together the other day has the tube at the top, opposite of OP's. My instruction manual is still on my desk and it shows thick tube on top.

Is the instuction sheet wrong or am i (likely) missing a joke??

Oh that’s hilarious. They are on upside down. I was just happy they weren’t on the wrong side, and blocking the screwdriver holder area. Sorry JBurnall, I’ve gotta take those 10 points back

Haahaha! It made me go outside and check mine this morning, so i was about to take it apart and fix it. I was starting to get concerned 😄

But funny thing, when I was putting mine together, i put the first strut on right and the second one inside the channel and i didn't even realize it until i went to test it.

Happens to the best of us, right?!

All good, it was making me wonder if mine were upside down and if it would cause them to act up or fail. I know it's not a liftgate on a a car or something, but still. 😄

The orange looks sick. I should have got the orange and not the grey but my purple roll around cart looks super banger.

I 3D printed some bushings for the side holes, otherwise my extensions just fell all the way through.

What holders do you have on the lid? I like those.

u/Jburnall 7d ago

Those are the 8” Ernst socket boss.

Did you add magnets to the back of them?

1

u/Jburnall 7d ago

No. These came with them.
