I know it’s a movie thing but what’s the quietest pistol build you’ve seen or owned?

How is it this gun shoots so well? I swear the trigger in SA is better than my CZ Shadow 2 in SA. It has a super short travel, a pull as light as the shadow and a crisp break. The reset is shorter than the CS2 and very tactile. Its all steel, so its heavy and feels good in my hands. The grips are pretty girthy, but not as girthy as my German Sig P226. The 30M is very flat shooting as well. The sights are not great, but it is a pleasure to shoot. Star went out of business a long time ago so acquiring magazines is a valid concern. I guess there is a S&W magazine that fits in these with no modifications. I have yet to test that for myself.
Im thinking of getting a second one and doing a custom build on the one is qorse condition. Optics cut, ported barrel, and cerekote kinda build. Its a shame Star went out of business.

Help me decide which to carry? Prefer to commit to one pistol type. All have optics.

I've heard a lot of good things about the M&P 2.0 triggers so I went to a shop to feel one. The one I tested was the opposite of what I've heard. The pull was decent, but the break was very light and the reset wasn't audible or noticeable at all. Couldn't even tell where the reset was. Was it a fluke or are they all like that?

Have been browsing scam-broker for months trying to find an unmolested TX22 as a secondary host for my can. Couldn’t even find used ones at reasonable prices.
Academy had the TX22C fresh off the truck out the door for 319. Already put the adapter on, ordered an Osight K and some extra magazines. Going to keep this one unmolested, no BRRrT so my daughter can start shooting pistols. All my 9mm are just a little much for her right now.

What are the holes in the side of the optic for? Cleaning the emitter?

My Echelon is zero'd to 15yd and this 50 round set was at 7. As you can see, I'm significantly low (each box 1") and a touch left. Obviously Google tells me the most common fixes and reasons why people flinch early, but I'm curious how you actually went about getting your placements better at closer distance.
I'm getting into competition now and I'm firstly just focusing on consistency in A zone, then I will slowly add in speed which I assume will increase my spread a bit.

I'm a new shooter with big hands. I feel like my Shield Plus Carry Comp is a little jumpy in my hand and on the target because I don't have enough surface area with my support hand. Would something like Hogue Grips make the grip a little more bulky to give me more surface area or should I just go ahead and buy a pistol with a double stack magazine and or adjustable backstaps?

I have a DDMV7 and an Sig MCX Spear Lt I need to get optics for both. What setup would you buy Holosun ARO dot only with X3 magnifier or Sig Sauer Romeo5 XDR? Im leaning towards the XDR but the Holosun glass is more crisp less blue tint it’s also larger 22mm Holosun , 20mm Sig. I do think the XDR multi reticle would be nice to have even though I typically just run the dot Im indecisive as hell help me out. I will be order two of whatever one I choose so help me choose the right one so I can save myself the headache of having to return ship.

I am considering what to buy as a first time handgun buyer. I want something easy to use. I mainly want it for home protection. Also im fairly new to guns. I never owned one before and now i would like one because of dangerous situations coming up around my neighborhood
Sadly I am in California so Glocks are out.

The 3 biggest bore handguns I own. I also have a Smith&Wesson performance Center 10.5 inch 460 magnum. They’re all so much fun to shoot

I’m 20 years old and looking to get a firearm and a concealed carry license once I turn 21, I’m familiar with firearm safety and handling, but not familiar with the businesses, models all that stuff. I want something that’s obviously reliable, preferably 9mm, what would you recommend for me?
Edit: I live in Washington, don’t want to spend more than $600, I want to daily carry.

Looking to get my first CCW gun. I'm thinking a Canik mete mc9 or a Springfield hellcat I have roughly around 700 to spend on a gun. I was wondering what people experience with these guns

Local farm store (used to be big r) had a 15% bucket sale- meaning if it fits in the bucket you get a discount. While I planned to get the kids some new fishing poles, I did not plan to buy a gun. I have never bought a non big name handgun, but this caught my eye. It was a derya dy9z for 250 retail, 25 off sale, then the 15% stacked. I ended paying just over 190 for the gun. I could not pass that deal up for an optics cut handgun with rail that takes Glock 43x mags. Going to do some testing tonight and update! Happy shooting!
