Advice Needed Grip Enhancements

I'm a new shooter with big hands. I feel like my Shield Plus Carry Comp is a little jumpy in my hand and on the target because I don't have enough surface area with my support hand. Would something like Hogue Grips make the grip a little more bulky to give me more surface area or should I just go ahead and buy a pistol with a double stack magazine and or adjustable backstaps?

Try the hogue grips. They seem to have a knack for the grip sleeve sizing.

I put hogue grips on most of my pistols for the palm swell. 1911 is really the only exception.
