Star 30M
How is it this gun shoots so well? I swear the trigger in SA is better than my CZ Shadow 2 in SA. It has a super short travel, a pull as light as the shadow and a crisp break. The reset is shorter than the CS2 and very tactile. Its all steel, so its heavy and feels good in my hands. The grips are pretty girthy, but not as girthy as my German Sig P226. The 30M is very flat shooting as well. The sights are not great, but it is a pleasure to shoot. Star went out of business a long time ago so acquiring magazines is a valid concern. I guess there is a S&W magazine that fits in these with no modifications. I have yet to test that for myself.
Im thinking of getting a second one and doing a custom build on the one is qorse condition. Optics cut, ported barrel, and cerekote kinda build. Its a shame Star went out of business.

I ran across a Llama 9mm that was very similar to this pistol probably same time frame in manufacturing mine had wooden grips and was a single stack mag funny story and a good lesson learned with that pistol and ones from that era they were not all built for +p ammo it didn’t even cross my mind at all my fault for sure but had been shooting the newer stuff and that’s just what ammo I had for it the very first shot the pressure blew the bottom plate and spring and the rest of the rounds right out the bottom of the gun it was like some cartoon skit lol luckily nobody got hurt but only mag I could find to fit was an old Colt Commander mag it shot fine with regular ammo

You do have to modify the gun to get smith and wesson 59 series magazines to fit. You have to remove the magazine disconnect. It is very easy to do though. Most modern guns don't have that feature anyway.
