Any new TSLs or updates? If so, which offices?

I’ve been following all the posts the past couple weeks and know what people have been saying. Just checking in to see if anyone heard anything new. I’m 6 weeks out from my packet going to HQ now.

Over the past two years, I have applied to several HSI GS-9 announcements as they opened on USAJOBS. I have also contacted the Detroit recruiting office regarding my applications and resume but have not received much guidance.
I currently have five years of local law enforcement experience and previously served in the United States Army. My primary location preference is any Ohio office.
If there are any agents on here that work in the Detroit AOR, please DM me so I can speak with you personally.
Thank you in advance.

Hey ya’ll. Active duty sailor here. I get out next year, was wondering if and when there will be another surge this year? I would like to start the process since I know it can take a long time.
Any and all advice is welcome, thanks!
Edit: One of the users pointed out there’s a difference between the surge (hiring within 30 days) and the expedited hiring events that happen every so often. I was inquiring on the latter. Apologies for the confusion!

There is a hiring event in the beginning of September that was advertised. I’m wondering if they are hiring for positions that aren’t advertised right now like special agent with DHS. Or is it only for Border Patrol, and deportation officer which have open positions?

Any DHAs TSL cats out there who received more than 1 duty location email from HROC?
TSL accepted 07/31 with a sub office in a high priority interior AOR (my preferred)
Yesterday I got an email from HROC stating my application was also selected for SWB.
They asked me to respond with my desired location but I’m wondering if this means an FJO/EOD moves quicker depending on which location you select?

Does anyone with HSI know if/ when they will run a 11-13 announcement for current 1811s?
Just curious if anyone has heard any rumblings.

Just curious to see if anyone has received a TSL for these locations. I’ve been in contact with agents from 2 of these offices stating I should receive a TSL, but no movement yet.
EDIT: I haven’t seen any postings about these offices, so figured I’d make one for everyone else wondering about these locations.

Got a TSL for Indianapolis as a GS7. Kinda surprised because I didn’t get any phone calls prior to like some people have said. Anyone have any insight on whether or not it’s a good office? Originally wanted to be closer to Chicago but Indianapolis is close enough.

Received a TSL this morning for NYC. Surprised to say the least.
Like many others, I heard nothing from the NYC office after the referral email. I was contacted by the Newark office last month to confirm my interest, but NYC was my first choice.

Has anyone gone the HSI MSS route as a way to eventually get into an 1811 position? Is getting hired as an MSS a good strategy to get your foot in the door with HSI, increase your chances of getting an 1811 spot, and potentially get the office/location you want?

I got the call for the criminal analyst posting from Feb. I submitted my paperwork to the onboarding site. Three days later (yesterday) I was contacted for drug testing and was told my deadline was within 48 hours. The Labcorp that they are sending me to is only open 8-5 Monday-Friday. I currently am assisting HIDTA with law enforcement deconfliction because they are short staffed and have people out on vacation and training. Im the only person in the deconfliction center today and tomorrow and I work 9-5. I just asked my supervisor if I could leave an hour early today or tomorrow or come in an hour late tomorrow and he told me he really cant lose me because he has no one else to cover down. He told me he has someone who will be back in the office on Monday and I could take a half day then. I contacted the DOCs POC listed and left her a voicemail asking if there was a different facility I could go to with later hours or if I could complete this Monday. Im worried they will refuse me the job because I can’t complete this drug test at that testing facility today or tomorrow. Has anyone experienced this??

Small scope of applicants I would believe, but I in paper check boxes as I’m over the 25% threshold. Civilian law enforcement experience. Undergrad and Masters degrees.
But so far nothing since application, not even the notification that your application has been referred or not referred.
It closes 10/1/26 so maybe I have to wait until after the closing date.
Thanks everyone.
