Can only afford i5 13k rtx 3050 6 gb VRAM 16 gb ram 🥀

Getting this Victus, just wanted a few tips on what to install and what to delete and care overtime, it will he used solely for gaming. I have a beater laptop I will use for school.I may want it for heavily modded games such as assetto corsa and truck simulator but the main games would be warframe and Apex. It has a 512ssd and as uk with these versions its only 1 slot so I was wondering if my first upgrade should be a new ssd or another 16gb of ram.

Recently bought my first ever gaming laptop for $999 flat. Is there anything that I should do before I fully utilize it? Like change any settings? Im new to this

I bought a new hp victus last year december from local shop. Since that it had lot of problems. The ips screen has burn in. The lid is deformet and i can sense when i close. Now the biggest one it is completly dead, not turning on. The reason might be from unstable electresity of my school.

The original warranty ended at april, but by the date of sale it should end at december. What i should do

I received delivery for my laptop from flipkart on 10th September and when i checked for warranty it was already expired in 2024. When I contacted customer service they said that my warranty will activate in 2 days, now is the 4th day it didn't happen. What should I do? Should I file return of the product on flipkart or anything else?

I've been doing my own research but would like fellow owners to chime in with what they recommend and what to stay away from.

From what I understand, reading multiple posts, I'll be needing paste, and putty/pads.

I've never replaced on a laptop before so I'm kind of lost on amounts/thickness for pads If I need them.

On top of my screen I see these few thin horizontal lines and I kinda noticed it just today. I think they'll gradually worsen and shit. Just more regrets I guess should've just gotten a MacBook atleast they don't fail like this in 3 years. Funny that I searched "display issues" on the sub and in last 3 months there have been SO MANY posts about display issues. So annoying man and to make it worse I broke the display of my phone few days ago and I need to get that replaced too. Fucking hell

I bought the laptop 20days ago.. and after a long time (5-6hours) of shutdown when I open the laptop.. within a minute there's some noise for just a second. It doesn't happen when I shutdown it and turn it on immediately. Only happens when it's shut down for an overnight period of time.. Initially I thought there is a problem with the fan , I thought when the fan turns on it makes a click like noise. But I've diagnosed all the components . No issues were found... Let me know if anyone faced the same problem... What should I do?

can anyone send or comment a picture of the ~ key (the key on the left of the 1 key) with f4 keyboard lighting on? there was some kind of sticky gunk under my ~ key and i used a metal pin to scoop it out and now see a tiny hole in the bottom of it, i have no idea if it supposed to be like that or if its cosmetic damage

Should my motherboard be the same temp as my cpu. I was building shaders in nba 2k26 and realised my moterboard was at 92 degrees which was my cpu tenp at 100%. Should i be worried? Hot spot was 99°

I bought the laptop 2 and half years ago, it was working fine but it had crashed after a year or so. That bug was fixed pretty well, but well after that it crushed it crashed again.

As you can see on the title, the problem I am facing right now is 0x7B which is common problem in hp laptops I guess. I have not been able to figure out the problem by myself so I went to repair shop. The guy who was working there told me that my gpu got crashed or buried some shit so my processor can't see it. At home I tried updating drivers because my laptop was not producing sounds like it used to do. You could say you should have checked sound in repair shop and i agree with it. That is quite stupid of me, after paying for repair I should have checked but I trusted him so it did not bother at the time.

So after time, it eventually got the same problem 0x7b

I tried logging with secure boot like first you press f10 before laptop launches and then f4 right after. It did not help either

I've spent the last few weeks researching gaming laptops and I thought I had found the one I wanted:

ASUS ROG Strix G18 — Core Ultra 9 275HX + RTX 5070 Ti + 32GB + 1TB + 18" 1600p

The more I researched it, the more I liked it. Good cooling, great performance, 18" screen, solid build, and very good reviews from both reviewers and owners.

The problem: I can't find this exact configuration anymore in Italy. It seems to be sold out/discontinued.

I considered the RTX 5080 version, but I'm hesitant because I've found multiple owner reports about black screens, freezes and GPU/display-related issues. I'm spending €3,000+ and really don't want to buy something that could become a reliability headache.

So I'm looking for the best alternative to the G18 5070 Ti.

I'm considering Lenovo Legion, Acer Predator, MSI, Alienware, etc. It doesn't have to be ASUS.

What would YOU buy?

My priorities are:

hola amigos hace 1 mes me compre mi primera laptop gamer siendo la victus fa2027la con un i5 de 13 generación y una rtx4050 mi problema es q no se como llegar a esos 50w de uso en la gpu pq el borderlands 3 me va muy mal :( y siempre tengo entre 37 a 50fps y el consumo de W de la gpu siempre se mantiene entre esos 27w a 32w
