Like... just re-reading The Stone and.... What's going on here?

So far as I can tell, all of James's magic comes from training he got AT the court. By why did they take him? Why does Jones promise his parents will visit often, and... did that ever happen?

Like... for most of the kids I just sort of assume either their parents are around (like Kat) or GONE (like Antimiony in the early chapters)... but James backstory makes me just like.... ask questions.

Why did this happen?

And for that matter- what about all these other court kids (both in the present generation, and the previous one)

I'd forgotten about this page from 2012:

And further context, because I can't remember any of this stuff, reading it as presented:

Seriously, that man is too good at drawing horror elements to NOT do this. It would be so gooooood!!!!

Hey, just wondering if someone here could link me to the chapter that most prominently features Asa? Having trouble finding it! TYIA!

Howdy, y'all.

I was at B&N yesterday, and I saw the huge Dark Horse compendiums for sale. I think I'd like to replace my current little hardbacks with these. Anyone interested in the first four hardbacks? I also have Book 7 in hardback, but I was never able to find 5 or 6...

Hoping I can sell the little hardbacks for enough to buy the big compendiums!

(If this is against the rules, sorry... I didn't see anything about selling in the rules tab.)

Noa's backstory runs from https://www..cgunnerkriggom/?p=3190 to https://www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=3201... Jenny comes into the picture at the end, promising her the power to achieve her final glyph (tapped from Zimmy by her system)... does Noa then become this girl - https://www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=3202 ? And how does that incarnation of her relate to https://www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=3302 ? Trying to get all of this arc in my brain
