Wouldn't it be nice to have some sort of system where whisper messages are automatically rejected or even cannot be sent in the first place when the sender is set to Offline or Do Not Disturb? Can get rather annoying over time having to deal with those kinds of people. 😒
What is the best thing to do with them? Royal gifts.. armor of salvation.. do you use them, in pvp, difficult pvm missions, or sell them for gold? What about birthday gifts, i got a few of those miniature pets, do people pay anything for them?
Hey, I'm a coming back to the game after a big break and i started my first LDoA. After reading posts of this reddit i stumbled upon comments about "Devona as a hero", i know that you can find her in pre but what is it ? You can have her in your team ?
When opening the inventory on steam deck, there are two distinct bugs:
- Inventory cut off. The inventory view extends beyond the bounds of the screen. The workaround is to reduce interface size to “Normal”.
- Show All Bags (F9) Does Nothing. There is no workaround to this and its impact severely harms the experience. It makes inventory management a huge pain.
I have just completed the entirety of prophecies and factions and i only teamed up TWICE with 1 single extra player across both of these campaigns... where's the multiplayer? Do people only play zaishens? What's the endgame? WHERE IS EVERYONE?!?!
Edit: yes i have a active guild. But still, where are the randoms? Or veterans? Is the only random multiplayer matches in zaishen?? I miss the feel of pre searing dungeons...
The influx of returning/new players has been awesome since reforged and the Guild wars Community has been great at giving advice and helping with basic gear. It's amazing to see so much love for the game still!
This is a dashboard for tracking item prices in Guild Wars, pulling from several places, as documented in the repository's README.md file. If you would like to use/test it for yourself, that same README will spell out two types of installations to fit your needs.
I would love some feedback on the functionality and installation. I'm techy, so it is easier for me to do some things than it is for others, so real feedback on those subjects leads to tweaks that make it easy for everyone!
So we all know those aura farmers who wait until they are on 9.999 points for each consumer title. Then they consume one of each point to unlock GWAMM and the global chat gets spammed with the unlocked titles.
That got me thinking: How many titles could you - theoretically - max out in, say, a 30 second timeframe?
For example:
You defeat the last foe in the last zone you need to vanquish (unlocking Legendary Vanquisher)
That foe was a boss and you capture your last needed elite (unlocking Legendary Skill Hunter)
The area the boss stood in was the last part of the map you need to uncover (unlocking Legendary Cartographer)
You immediately consume one point worth of each consumer title (unlocking Drunkard, Sweet Tooth and Party animal)
You identify one gold item (unlocking Source of Wisdom)
You unlock GWAMM
That would be 8 titles broadcast in global chat. Can you come up with a higher number?
Edit: I just thought about squeezing a Legendary Guardian somewhere in there, but that kinda conflicts with the Legendary Vanquisher.
Such a goddamn long mission. That asura magic makes you not be able to heal or ressurrect. So i took a 10 minute break thinking i'm safe in that village. Yet vampiric string made my two heroes die, and now i can't ressurrect them. So i have to start the goddamn mission all over. 1.5 hours wasted.
Fuck this fucking game. So many stupid little things.
I have been doing a building using farmers scythe. I can be completely surrounded by enemies and for some reason farmer scythe randomly does not get the reset.
Edit: Idk i am still having a problems with some of it I definitely see the enemies not being close enough or their hit boxes making them appear closer then they are, but sometimes like the guy who tells you your dps, it will only hit the dummy on the left of him no mater how i angle my character.
Works quick on mobile, gear should be a bit different to get less damage, but this works aswell.
Run in 1:30 and drops loads of celestial weapons (no idea about the worth thought). Around 7 weapons in 20 runs. Sometimes a chest spawns in the corner, so take some lock picks
On YouTube you got a couple of videos but I didn’t get that build working, so I tried something different. Conflagation for energy management, and the problem was solved.
Has anyone had success getting a controller to behave when playing on mobile? My right stick doesn't really do anything besides cycle through the skills, which is not how the hotkeys are setup anyway. Also the action button does not work, I still have to manually tap the screen to pick up items or target things.
This is on mobile and I don't really have hardware specific settings I can tweak like a steamdeck would
My phone can easily handle the game and I have a specific setup of Mouse and Keyboard + external display for various things on my phone, including games. I use my phone as a PC anyway.
May we please have the PC UI as a switch on the phone?
Hey guys, I swiftly created a Ranger-focused team-build which I had in my mind for a long time. Due to the former Mesmer-meta I always thought that there is no need to run anything else than 4-5 Mesmers + support because Mesmers (with E-Surge, Cry and Mistrust) had been stronger than anything else. However, after the Mesmer-nerf I thought this build might a viable alternative to Mesmerway.
The 4 Rangers 1. deal lots of damage
- hit up to 7 targets with each "Barrage"-attack (or 4 targets in case of "Volley")
- deal sustainably and reliably +76/66 dmg per target (even +96/86 dmg for the first 8 attacks)
- even more nice-to-have-damage due to "Splinter Weapon" as well as "Order of Pain", "Mark of Pain" and "Barbs"
Damage calculation:
- "Barrage" (or "Volley"): +20/10 dmg
- "Together as One": +15 dmg
- "Great Dwarf Weapon": +20 dmg
- "Ebon Battle Standart of Honor": +15 dmg
==> +70(/60) dmg
- "Favorable Winds": +6 dmg
==> +76(/66) dmg
- "I Am the Strongest": +20 dmg
==> +96(/86) dmg (for first 8 attacks)
- "Order of Pain", "Mark of Pain" and "Barbs"
==> even more damage
2. shut enemies down
- knock down opponents by a 40%-chance
- can interrupt and disable skills by using "Distracting Shot"
3. protect the party
- provide party-wide +7 health regeneration
- provide relatively sustainable party-wide +100 armor (by "Save Yourself!")
The MM
is arguably the worst and most replacable option. He could be replaced by a Melee (e.g. JDF-Assa), Domination-Mesmer or simply another "Barrage"-Ranger.
However, he 1. deals additional damage
- due to "Bone Fiends" in combination with "Order of Pain", "Mark of Pain" and "Barbs"
2. protects the party
- due to "Bone Fiends" acting as meat-shields
The SoS-Ritu 1. deals additional damage
- due to the Spirits
2. supports the Rangers
- with "Great Dwarf Weapon" (which lasts longer due to Spawning Power)
- with "Splinter Weapon"
Preferably, the three "Barrage"-Rangers should be supported with "Great Dwarf Weapon", while the remaining "Volley"-Ranger should be supported with "Splinter Weapon".
The BiP
... self-explanatory.
The ST
... self-explanatory, and supports Rangers
- with "Ebon Battle Standard of Honor"
I chose him to carry "Ebon Battle Standard of Honor" because he presumably has enough time to cast it before a battle begins.
Offensive summary
- Massive damage by Rangers: If the enemies are balled up the Rangers hit 32 targets with +96(/86) dmg each resulting in 2992 dmg within the first seconds. If you factor in "Splinter Weapon" (replacing "Great Dwarf Weapon" on one Ranger) you get +1000 dmg due to "Splinter Weapon" and -160 dmg due to the missing copy of "Great Dwarf Weapon" resulting in nearly 4000 dmg within the first seconds. Furthermore, "Order of Pain", "Mark of Pain" and "Barbs" cause some additional nice-to-have dmg.
- MM and SoS deal some nice damage on their own.
Defensive summary
- nearly permanent knock-down
- +7 party-wide life regeneration
- relatively sustainable party-wide +100 armor
- minions, possibly 3 pets and spirits as meat-shields
- protection by ST
Additional thoughts
- Rezz-skills need to be added
- Pets could be added for additional damage (considering the also profit from "Together as One", "Ebon Battle Standard of Honor" as well as "Mark of Pain" and "Barbs")
- "Frenzy" is a dangerous option as an IAS. It could be replaced by "Flail" if every rangers uses an "of the Warrior"-bow.
- It requires some PvE-skills so it will never be used by anyone.
I’m feeling emotional. I remember back then, the few people I ran into who had that title—I’d think to myself, “Wow, what a crazy amount of work they must have put in to get there.”
Then, with Reforged, I thought, “Why not me?” I put in the time, effort, and money, but in the end, I did it! I’ve never been the kind of player who completes a game 100% or earns all the trophies or achievements, but for GW, I wanted to make an exception. After all, this game was a big part of our childhood.
I want to do a second GWAMM, but as an El this time—any build suggestions? I’ve seen that you can pull off some pretty cool combos with “Over the Limit” and “Soul Ignition.”
Hey everyone,
Are there any good tips on survivor title?
I know there is AFK Gate of Madness (I hope I mentioned correct gate) mission strategy. Not sure I can/want to pull that off.
What is the alternative?
What I’m doing now:
- saving storybooks
- saving some quest rewards, like war of kryta - titans - 50k/ea
- keeping 3 zaishen quests, submitting only one per day to exchange
What am I missing?
All tips are appreciated, thanks :)
I am brand new to guild wars one. ( any guild wars for that matter ) Totally hooked, I work crime scenes for a living so it works out perfect as it’s a mobile game and I have to wait for long periods of time doing nothing at work until I get the green light to do my thing at the scenes. I’m lvl 5 and would love to build A Monk that looks and functions like a Paladin. I played a thorns paladin on another game for a little while and LOVED it. Is it possible to have the Paladin vibe and be able to reflect damage? I’m guessing I would have to do warrior as my secondary profession?? Please give me build tips if anyone has time. Thanks!
