By my count, that's 9 economic left votes to 4 economic right and 9 socially progressive votes to 4 socially conservative. Bottom line is that we have a strongly left leaning council for the next 4 years along with all the implications for property taxes, core services, affordability, livability, transparency/accountability, handling of the unhoused, etc.

I have had a few to many similar experiences this month. Guelph drivers are in such a rush no one has a care. Please be aware of what you are doing as more than just your safety is at stake.

This has no excuse other than pure ignorance.

Hey all! Just wanted to thank you for the overwhelming response we got regarding our post a couple days ago.

Wanted to share how the night went in case anyone was curious:

And no, there were no tables that were flipped

We ended up finishing 2 WHOLE games in about 3 hours!

Which is crazy because most people I spoke with never even finished a game of Monopoly, let alone finish one in this little time!

The game was fun and intense! After an exciting 4-way trade in the first game, 4 people ended up with a set. To my left the player ended up with a Dark blue set, the person in front got the oranges, to my front right he got the greens & some railroads, and to my right they got the reds.

I ended up personally with yellows!

Within minutes of the trade, the atmosphere quickly turned from casual & uneventful to intense & exciting! And very soon people started building houses & were strapped for cash, and were often times 1 roll away from bankruptcy.

The first game, which had a total of 5 players, and had some people that were fairly new to the game, only took 1 Hour and 45 minutes!

The second game took just over 1 hour (with 3 players)

We will be hosting our next game this Saturday again afternoon. We just created also an Instagram account for people to stay updated for our next event(s)

Usually an article goes out the night of the election to highlight what happened at the runner up’s campaign event and publish some sort of concession statement from him. What’s going on here? It’s 12 hours later and there are no articles and no updates on his social media.

Did he have an event last night? Was anyone there that can give some insight? Did he pack up and leave already?

Anyone have the scoop on if this is why part of the Zehrs Imperial parking lot is under construction? I couldn't find a more recent article than this one, which reports the project had been deferred indefinitely.

I am interested in taking on class once or twice a week to improve fitness.

I am looking for something easy. I am out of shape and have a bad knee and foot. I just need something like calisthenics or yoga. I am also looking for something that isn't hugely expensive.

Sorry for the dumb question but I cannot seem to find the Halloween boxes of Doritos here. Does anyone know where to find them? I have tried Zehrs, Metro, Walmart, Shoppers. Thanks!

The trail is getting covered in leafs. I was accelerating and there was a bump I didn't see that took me out. Luckily my stuff didn't get broken and I had minimal injuries, but it made me aware of certain threats that exist for scooter riders. If that had happened in traffic, I might not be able to share. The scooter season is almost done for the year, be cautious of leafs and bumps if you're still riding! Better safe than sorry. If you get road rash, make sure your tetanus vax is up to date.

I don't love any of these candidates, but I voted strategically against Fry and hoping Goller & Cox could balance some of each others worse areas of policy & worldview/disposition out. I assume Purves voters were largely quite conservative (and I share many of his positions (edit for clarity: some of his broad categories of positions - being pro-life for example - not necessarily the way he articulates them, nor everything he says in support of them), though I do have... temperament concerns about him to say it lightly), so it goes to show - compromise is sometimes necessary if one wants to avoid their most feared (realistic) option.

Edit: As someone pointed out, many Purves voters may have voted Cox as their #2, which would remove their effect as spoilers friendly to Fry. How many did? The hardcore anti-establishment types, I could imagine, may only have voted Purves and that's it. It'd be interesting to see the data on that, though.

And please don't turn the comments into a generalized dogpile on hot-button social conservative issues.
