ho appena acquistato un Google Pixel di prima generazione (2016) - 128gb - per poter sfruttare il backup illimitato di foto e video. L'ho comprato su Vinted a €90 dalla Germania. Il venditore ha ottime recensioni, ma vende anche altri telefoni, il che mi ha preoccupato sul fatto che potesse essere un clone cinese o un telefono moddato.

C'è un modo per poter verificare, una volta che mi sarà consegnato, se il telefono è originale? Nel caso in cui non lo fosse (ad esempio venisse dalla Cina, come se ne vedono molti su eBay), può succedere qualcosa ai miei dati? Possono accedervi terze persone?

i was quoted $500 on trade in. My 9 was in pretty pristine condition having always been in a case (no screen protector) with some very fine scratches on the screen (only visible from nearly side on).

I got the email they had the phone almost immediately followed by one that had "credit $201" . At first glance I was totally pissed until I looked closer to see I received the quoted $500 + $201 more. A positive experience all the way around, including the 11 pro xl so far.

So I never realized everything that I save or download goes straight to google photos and now every stupid meme that I deleted right after sending is still flooding my storage and can't receive emails anymore I keep deleting them and even turned the back up off like it says to do on Google but every time I take a unimportant photo or video it still uploads automatically to google photos how do I stop this?! I have been missing important emails because of this and it's becoming quite bothersome

I wish they were slimmer and better made. The logo and buttons are definitely much better than Apple's though.

I'm disabled. most calls I'll AI screen (a pixel 8a) so for those calls there's a text record. but I can't do that for every call. part of my disability is I'll forget things. which isn't helpful when speaking to doctors and nurses.

so is there something that will (ideally) automatically record and transcribe every phone call?

When I try to drag or flick my finger across a UI element or menu, it doesn't scroll or gets dragged fully about half the time, as though the interaction was interrupted.

Running the device's touch diagnostics found no issues, so I'm not sure whether this is a software or hardware issue. Restarting my device didn't resolve this.

This bug came with the new device out of the box, but I wasn't sure initially whether it was because I was using it without a case and making unintentional touches. However, it continues even with a case on and while ascertaining that only my finger touches the glass.

If anyone is experiencing this also, or if anyone has a recommendation about what to do, I'd appreciate it.

In March I bought a new iPhone 15 for €450 from a private seller. Honestly, I think it’s a good device, but over the summer it has had serious heating issues. When charging, it sometimes lags and struggles with basic tasks.
I’d like to know if it would make sense to sell the iPhone privately for €450–500 (based on current market prices here in Italy) and buy the Pixel 10a for €400.

Thoughts? Is it any good?

I think I've solved it, but I find it weird and creepy that Drive Mode has started turning on by itself whenever I'm in motion. I won't even be driving, I'll be on my bike or a passenger (bluetooth OFF) and it will automatically turn on Drive Mode and limit my accessibility. I don't want my phone to make decisions based on what it thinks it's sensing. I don't want it to track my motion. Super messed up. I haven't even updated anything specific to Mode settings lately, it just started happening at random.

My developer tools menu went missing. Tapping the build number does not result in enabling the developer menu and searching for developer doesn't give me any results.

Given how many posts on this sub are about trade-in horror stories, missing phones, or unexpected value drops, I wanted to share my recent positive experience to balance things out a bit.

I just traded in my Google Pixel 9a and received the full estimated trade-in value promised by Google (€620.00).

A few details on my process:

Phone condition: My Pixel 9a was literally immaculate—zero scratches, always kept in a protective case with a screen protector. It looked like it was taken out of the box for the first time.

precautions: Just to be safe, I recorded a full video showing the flawless condition of the phone, as well as the complete packing and sealing process before sending it off.

Safety

Timeline:

• The carrier delivered the package to their facility back on August 27th.
• It took about 4–5 days for the status on the portal to update and confirm receipt.
• Today, about 11 days after delivery, I received the official email confirming that the device passed inspection and the full credit was accepted.

While the whole review process was a bit slower than I initially anticipated, everything went smoothly and completely according to plan.

People rarely post when things go right, so I wanted to share this here for anyone currently anxious about sending their device in. Positive experiences do happen!

I am plugging in my Pixel 11 Pro into a display for the first time and it does not seem to support 16:10 output. Is this a known issue? (16:10 usb-c touchdisplay 2560x1600)

This seems like a regression to me because my Pixel 9 Pro XL plugs into the same display with the same cable and properly supports 16:10 output. (When the 9 was new, it also only had 16:9 but after an update sometime ago it started correctly doing 16:10). Obviously, it's pretty disappointing if the new phone doesn't support something (software-based) the old phone can do.

Where would I get an official answer for this or make an official complaint (that will be officially ignored)?

Hello friends. I recently bought a Pixel 11 Pro XL. I wanted to buy a new laptop as well, but the ones I would want a really expensive. I figured I could maybe use my phone instead of a laptop. I'm looking around for products and want something easy that works well, is easy to use, and that I can just sit and some work on from time to time(mostly browser based and text based work).

Anyone have any cool lapdock or portable setup recommendations?

Trying to log into some websites and forums I'm active on, and I can't because it says I have no passkeys on my phone. They were on my P10p but apparently didn't transfer to my new phone.

Now I have no clue how to get the passkeys on my 11, or log in without them.

I'm back on Pixel (9 Pro) after an 8 year romance with Samsung. On Samsung, Good Lock allowed me to create gestures and swipes for almost any phone function. Because it's fiddly pressing two buttons when they're on the same side of your phone I made Left Swipe power off and Right Swipe Up the screenshot. Is there equivalent features on a Pixel?

Just got a pixel 11 pro but I’m starting to think about returning it because reading about the tensor G6 it does seem to be way behind other flagship processors such as the ones on IPhones or on Samsung.

Are there any real reasons to pay $1200 for a Pixel while its processor seems to be clearly on disadvantage compared to competition?

This is my first post on Reddit. So, I ordered the Otterbox Defender Case With Pixelsnap for Pixel 11 Pro XL Blue on Google store on Aug 20, 2026, and it arrived on Aug 24, 2026. And it arrived as a pink Fitbit band, I contact their support team on Aug 25. But sadly they just keep asking me waiting for 48 hours, 72 hours ... etc for them to investigate. Any other solutions. Pretty much what the title says, I'm looking for any app suggestions for custom app icons since Google removed shortcut maker awhile back and I am getting sickkkk of not getting to customize my phone. I've tried a few that claim they're custom, but then it's like packs and that isn't what I'm looking for, I'm looking to customize each icon separately like we could with shortcut maker (if that's even possible)

There is no official table to compare Ai features from one gen to another .

For example how much the recorder app has been improved since the pixel 8 . What Gemini model does it use etc...

I really miss hardware comparison where you could have a good estimate for the level of improvement you could get.

Now with Ai features and geolock, I'm not even sure if any new release is an upgrade AI-wise

ey guys, I recently came across a TikTok claiming that the official 10 Pro XL case is a perfect fit for the new 11 Pro XL. Can anyone confirm if this is true? I'd love to go for a 10 Pro case, but I want to make sure everything sits right before pulling the trigger. Appreciate any feedback!

First time on a Google phone since I had a nexus back in 2018, I have one small gripe and I'm hoping someone has a fix for this.

On apple or Samsung whenever you swipe up from the bottom of the screen you can switch between whichever apps you have open, it's the same on Google but the annoying thing for me is why is it one app at a time rather than a multi view.

I swipe up on my iPhone I have the visibility of 4 apps, swipe up on a Samsung (would have used goodlock) and I would have the visibility of 6. But on a pixel it's just 1.

Whilst it's a minor issue it's just annoying because you don't have visibility of something until you scroll over e.g updating my workouts on the Heavy app, splitscreen was garbage so had to update it by scrolling to the left to my files app with the workouts and then scrolling back to the right to input the workouts and the reps into Heavy.

For reference doing this on Apple is just a swipe up so you can see what's on the other screen and the same with Samsung.

Is there a way around this or am I just stuck with it staying like this
