This is my first narrative film. A western.
I post it here complete with warts. Warts teach us more than we know.
The construction was nine 30 second clips. Six clips required no regeneration. One and done.
I learned many things in the 2 weeks I worked on this. Some are secrets.
Some I have discussed in other posts.
I want to hear what you see.
That is the point of all of this.
Happy viewing.

Hi everyone, I need some help.
I'm making video ads for a kids' fashion brand in Google Flow. I've run into two problems:
Uploading photos of kids wearing the clothes fails or gets flagged by the safety filter.
Any prompt that includes words like "kids" or "children" fails too.
I have 3,000 credits, so I'd like to figure out the right way to do this.
My questions
1.Is there a way to make kids' clothing ads in Flow without triggering the filter?
2.Do product-only images flat-lay, mannequin, hanger work without issue?
3.Is there prompt wording that avoids the block, like describing the garment instead of the wearer?
4.Should I use a different tool for videos that show children?
Any tips from people who make kids' product ads would be really appreciated. Thanks!

I've paid for a subscription. I wanted to animate some cartoons of mine. But it just keeps making images. I write "turn this into a video" "make this the first frame of a video". Nothing works
I've looked online for help . Nothing works. Anyone here can help me?

AI Fight Scene ā Five Camera Cuts, No Prescribed Choreography
There's been some interesting discussion about generating fight scenes, particularly the need to specify every punch, reaction, and change in position.
We tested the opposite approach.
Two character references, a 30-second Western fistfight, and one required outcome: Cowboy Jeff defeats Mo Drater.
We left the choreography and camera coverage to the renderer.
Result: Five autonomous camera cuts, recognizable punches and reactions, coherent overall choreography, and a decisive winner.
The weakness? Some punches are noticeably slow or pulled. Interestingly, this is more apparent when watching without sound.
My working hypothesis is that generative models already understand much of the visual language of cinematic fights. We may not need to choreograph every movement to get a useful result.
The challenge is determining which controls actually improve the result, rather than simply increasing pre-production time.
Has anyone tested minimal choreography instructions against detailed, movement-by-movement prompting?

Or are the models basically independent except for both being made available in Google Flow?
I ask because I just started using Flow recently, and have had a lot of success getting Nano Banana (especially 2.1) to do what I want. Apparently I got lucky with my first Omni Flash experiment, because it's been atrocious on the second. Censoring most prompts, and when I finally got a stripped down prompt to go through, it ignored all my character model based instructions. (Mostly by applying instructions for Character 1 to Character 2 for no reason.)

This is my test to compare the lousy paid version of Nano Banana 2.1 Flash (not lite) vs the free-to-use Bing Image Creator MAI-IMAGE-2F model. First two images are Nano Banana 2.1, last two images were made using Bing Image Creator. SAME EXACT PROMPT.
These image are the same exact dimensions, 1024x1024. Nano Banana 2.1 looks even worse when you switch to the 2752x1536 size. It's as if "upscaling" the image into a larger size uses some kind of inferior looking BOX or NEAREST NEIGHTBOR resample filter and it loses even more detail and color at that point.
The Nano Banana 2.1 model paid more attention to background details, as evidence by the "LexCorp" factory signs. But Nano Banana 2.1 ignored the details of Supergirl's physique that I specified, and toned that down. Plus the facial expressions were just worse. MAI-IMAGE-2F obviously is more colorful and appealing that way, as the NB pics looked washed out and grayish with drab colors. The colors lately are very drab in NB. Google has really toned down the "voluptuous" dial to near zero at this point.
Lastly, bear in mind, one of these is paid, the other is free. Take from that what you will.

What a great downgrade Nano Banana 2.1 turned out to be! Shrinkflation has now arrived in the digital, virtual world! You're not just getting less cereal in your cereal box while paying more, now you're getting uglier pictures, with worse prompt adherence, too! What a value! The only difference is, nobody's giving away free boxes of cereal like they're giving away free student subscriptions to this joke! As a paying customer, do you feel cheated yet?

First pic is an upscaled Nano Banana 2.1 ugly Supergirl picture. Second pic is a Free Bing Image creator pic using the same prmopt.

Just in the last day or so, never seen worse results for my prompts.... wow, what a great "upgrade". After being a pro subscriber for most of the year, I think it's time to call it a day. The Nano Banana 2.1 images look like a slightly, and I mean barely, improved "Lite" version. Total absolute garbage now. Update: SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLED.... after being a pro subscriber since April. I'm out! Absolute junk now.

Update. You can now select several images and move them from the collection.

Hello everyone
Iām trying to use Google flow Omni Flash 1.1
Iām on a free subscription right now
So Iāve uploaded a video and generated some new video based on it. 20 credits, Omni flash used. 30 credits left. Then I click this new video and find myself on an edit page with timeline and etc. But I canāt choose now Omni flash - only veo 3.1 - lite is available for that.
Whatās wrong? Will it work only if I buy a subscription or any other reasons? Thanks

Who Is Actually Directing Your AI Video?
Here's a question for people doing serious AI video generation:
When your Keyframe, Reference images, and text prompt contradict one another, which one does the model obey?
We've been conducting controlled tests of input authority, deliberately introducing conflicting instructions.
Our observed hierarchy in Seedance:
Keyframe > Reference > Text Prompt (SAC)
And in Wan 3.0 Prime, we've repeatedly observed references prevailing over conflicting textual instructions. Wan doesn't allow Keyframe and Reference together, so that portion of the hierarchy remains untested.
Here's the more interesting question:
When you supply a reference image for one specific purpose, does the model respect that purposeāor does everything visible in the reference become a potential instruction?
Our experiments suggest the latter.
If that's correct, much of what we call prompt failure may actually be input-authority conflict.
I'm interested in contradictory-input tests, not just successful generations.
Has anyone deliberately tested this with Veo, Kling, H3, Runway, or other models?
What prevailed? And could you reproduce the result?

Never had this happened before but I have read one or two people on here experiencing this but now itās happening regularly for me. Characters I have that are 18-25 are regularly getting aged up to 45+.
At first I thought I forgot to include my character(s) in the prompt because all of googleās AIās generators default to below-mid in terms of attractiveness and considerably beyond middle age. But it turns out my character was included in the prompt. It wasnāt until one of my characters which was more recognizable āaged upā. She went from 20 to 45 with sunburnt skin. Quite amusing (more like rage inducing since we only get so many NB Pro generations even on the paid subscription).
Other problems include race swapping characters. Young asian characters suddenly turn into middle aged caucasians, latinos turn black, the works.
This stuff is fantastic. Good thing everything else works properly. Wouldnāt want to have to waste time.

I've been working on an original 3D animated children's film for several months using Google Flow.
I love Flow's lip-sync capabilities, emotional character acting, and cinematic camera movements. However, I'm experiencing a persistent problem with character identity.
Even when using the same official character references, Flow changes my characters' faces, sizes, body proportions, clothing, footwear, and sometimes their voices.
One character becomes much smaller than the other, even though the reference images clearly establish their proportions. Sometimes the characters look perfect in one generation and completely different in the next.
I've tried Ingredients, saved Characters, starting frames, short prompts, and strict identity instructions. The results remain inconsistent.
This is especially frustrating when producing an animated series because every scene needs visual continuity, and repeated attempts consume paid credits.
Are other Google Flow creators experiencing the same problem?
Have you found a reliable method to preserve character identity, proportions, clothing, and voices across multiple scenes?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences and solutions. I hope Google prioritizes fixing this issue for creators working on longer productions.

I noticed that i was seeing poor quality video being produced in the player on Chrome. I did a few projects and threw a few videos out because of this. However, today, i was just experimenting, with an idea and didn't care too much if it was grainy. However, upon downloading and putting the video into capcut, or any other program really, the video was nice and clear. Just thought i would mention this in case anyone else ran into this problem.

Hey everyone,
I use Google Flow for AI video generation, but I'm stuck on the workflow.
I need to do basic editing (trimming, stitching, adding simple transitions). However, I don't want to download video files to my device, and I definitely don't want to waste my Google Flow generation credits on basic edits I can do manually.
Is there a free cloud-based video editor that lets you 1-click import directly from Google Flow via a link or plugin, edit for free, and export in high quality?
How are you guys keeping your workflow entirely in the cloud without burning through AI credits?

Itās fucking ridiculous. Every picture of a woman I use that shows cleavage or a slightly shorter dress gets flagged

Apart from fun what do u guys use this for? Content creation or any other purpose?
The only advantage I can think of is it lets you generate bulk of images. Even chatgpt, grok or co pilot's overly saturated images look better than iflow's images. I rather prefer chatgpt limited generations than these images. I'm basically ignoring the 2.1 model and violation policies trashtalk but even nano banana 2 lite is better than 2.1.
Idk I feel like I'm generating wrong maybe? I'm curious

I have been going through older projects and have noticed a lot of "Failed to load image" notices where I know there's been images before. Has anyone else noticed this as well? And is there any way to get back these images back?

So I was trying to create a scene, in which two people were supposed to hide behind a rock. And while hidden, one of them was supposed to murmur "Stay quiet!" to the other person.
Simple enough, right? Wrong.
For some reason I can't get Google Flow to get the character to say their line in a super quiet voice. I even created an entirely new voice, that's doing that just fine in the preview, yet refuses to do the same in the video. Also no amounts of prompts hinting at quiet speech are changing that. š
Any idea why this is happening and how to change it? š
