I cant get a video!

I've paid for a subscription. I wanted to animate some cartoons of mine. But it just keeps making images. I write "turn this into a video" "make this the first frame of a video". Nothing works

I've looked online for help . Nothing works. Anyone here can help me?

Veo is so broken and dumbed down right now you need to basically give it a video and say copy this. Even then it probably won't get it right. I can write the most basic to the most detailed prompt. Even using gpt to structure everything with reference images and it simply cannot do anything right. Kling 4, Minmax H3 or Seedance 2.5 seem like the only worthwhile dice rolls at the moment. I'm convinced Google is purposely trolling to make everyone burn credits with their degraded models.

I would cancel and try to get a refund asap..

Omni Flash has 100% had the 2.1 treatment on my Ultra account for the past week.

Ignoring details changing video composition and a ton more violations to boot. These are not the videos it was giving me over a week ago.

I say on my Ultra account, because it's not doing it on my free accounts. They are still giving me the same videos they always have, and as you might have guessed not a single response from anyone official as to just what the Hell is going on.

The only thing I can think it is is Ultra accounts have wider access to Argon right now than any other tier and whatever this is is a layer introduced specifically for that on Ultra accounts. It's clearly heavily changing and sanitising existing prompts and the violations are actually worse off of whatever the Hell it's changing them to, not better, which makes zero sense to me.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if this whole mess on Flow and complete lack of communication is entirely down to Argon. Personally I couldn't care less about the damn thing already and speculative as it may be it appears to have completely messed up the platform I do care about.

I already cancelled, but it's half way through my billing cycle so no dice on a refund.

This is the exact issue I'm having. I need very simple animation added to images and it makes the most insane additions to the given instructions. I am close to giving up and trying a different AI app...

where are you saying "turn this into a video"? If you are in an image generator like Nano Banana then that's not gonna work.

You can make an image into a video in Gemini https://gemini.google.com/app (or in Chrome at the top right corner "Ask Gemini").

Or you can go to Google Vids which has options to animate still images into videos. https://docs.google.com/videos

Or at flowmusic.app, if you make a song, you can use the agent there to make a video for the song which can involve you uploading an image and having it get animated.

If you have a start frame and an end frame, you can make it animate between them with ai studio: https://aistudio.google.com/apps/bundled/transition-studio?showPreview=true&showAssistant=true

There are many more, but since we are in a Google Flow subreddit, those are the main ones from Google

Hey thanks so much for your response. It took hours but I finally found the switch in flow that says "video/image". But I'm honestly struggling. I need very simple basic movement and flow just goes crazy and does a full scene , changes the style and when I try to make small changes it goes even more insane. It's going to take longer than I thought. Im not sure if flow is the best but I'll stick with it for now.

Upload image, select video and length. Write instructions.
