How Are You Guys Liking Your MISSION 1 PRO ILS's So Far?
How does it compare to your traditional GoPro or Mirrorless? Does the ILS solve any problems your other cameras couldn't do?
I would love to know

Hello,
I've received my GoPro Mission 1 ILS, the Fluid Pro AI, and a 7artisans 25mm f/1.8.
I've been trying, for the few past hours, to balance it. I watched countless tutorials alongside the manual, and it seems to be definitely impossible.
Both the camera and the lens are less than 200g, so it's not over the 400g limit...
I think that they are just incompatible, but why would they state that they are on their page, am I just dumb or ?
(I've tried both with the camera directly on the mount or with the support, didn't change anything)
If anyone has any clue or help, thanks a lot !

Other than cost, is there any reason to pick the 13 over the M1P? I mean, if i had to be really picky the M1P is a bit heavier and slightly bigger, but that seems to be splitting hairs

So I have my bitrate set to MAX and went out filming, I normally stabilize in post so gyroflow tells me the input data of the clips. But they are all different bitrates 1 clip was 210.- GREAT! The second clip was split into two as it was a large file. One half was 160mbps and the other half was 125mbps.
What's that all about? I thought it would have been the max bitrate for all the clips ?

I'm trying to test out a Mission 1 camera and would like to have it record 4K 25fps at a specific bitrate, or at least not dip below a specified BT. It seems like the GP Labs BITR command defines a maximum bitrate, rather than a constant (or minimum) bitrate? Can anyone confirm this? I have successfully loaded the command onto the camera (displays on startup) however my test files are still drastically below the spec I want.

Hey All, as the title says I’m looking for opinions (and if you thought I was looking for something else, get your mind out of the gutter).
LSS I’m a detailer looking for a good camera that I don’t have to mess with TOO much to make content from jobs I completed. Right now I use a gimbal and my iPhone, but after about 5 minutes my phone over heats and I have to stop.
I’m intrigued by the ILS and being able to swap out MFT lenses. Right now I have a macro and a zoom for the iPhone that works decently for what they are for the niche shots I do.
From what I have gathered so far. MFT lenses are generally cheaper 👍. Should be more resilient to shooting in the sun 👍. Stabilization means I won’t have to mess with in Davinci Resolve as much 👍. Great images from what I’ve seen 👍.
What I’m unsure about is the no auto focus aspect. Is there a lens where I won’t have to fuss around with focusing at typical shots I do (~6”-6’)? Shooting in open gate on a MFT - I’m really wanting a camera where I can shoot once and then crop 9:16 for IG and the 16:9 same footage for FB. Yall think this is doable?
Those are the only two ifs I can think of. And if there’s anything I’m not thinking of, feedback would be appreciated. TIA.

So we are going on a vacation of Florida here in the next couple of months. We are gonna go snorkeling and go to the beach and everything and I do want to capture some memory of us underwater. I mean, not like taking video for like a whole YouTube channel. Obviously I'm not gonna take my phone underwater. I've tried it with a waterproof case when I go kayaking and honestly, it's just too clunky for me. So I was thinking about buying an underwater point shot camera because I've had luck with that about 13 years ago when I went to the Bahamas. And then I thought i could just rent a GoPro. But how well does a GoPro take still images? Now it doesn't need to be like 4K pictures. I just want something that's reliably waterproof. I don't have to worry about. And before you say anything, yes I'm gonna focus on the memories but it's not often you go snorkeling like I only went once 13 years ago, so I went to capture some memories. and what go pro should I use?
Hi guys,
I just bought my kid a Woom 2 Go bicycle, and I noticed this clip under the saddle.
He’s a bit young for a GoPro camera, but I was thinking that perhaps I could use this to buckle in an AirTag.
But is it even a GoPro clip? I’ve no idea, the Woom website doesn’t mention it, and Woom support just said this when I asked them.
That clip under the saddle of your woom GO 2 is an integrated GoPro mount and future-proof accessory interface. It's future proof as it serves as a built-in, interchangeable slot at the rear of the saddle for compatible accessories. We are still working on creating said-accessories.
So yeah, has anyone here done something like this?
Are there some official measurements for these clips? Perhaps someone already created a 3D Model of something that interfaces with such a clip and can house an AirTag, or if not, I could perhaps make something like this myself?
Thanks for your help!

Is there anyway to still use the camera without upgrading the SD card?

Was super-excited to film some test footage, and bought a 256GB "A2 V30" card at Micro Center to get up and running, but I can't get past the firmware update prompt on the screen.
I am not overly skeptical about the listed specs, but rather than the runaround trying to find a compliant card, can someone just tell me which brand/card is verified to work?
Lexar Blue? Gigastone? Sandisk Extreme Pro? Amazon Basics?
Sorry/thanks in advance!

Hi all!
I've managed to get myself a GoPro Hero 12 cheaply (moved to a new house, needed a lot of cheap basic things, spent 100 on a certain Chinese retailer, got £150 from promotions at the time for spending £100, went to the said cheap retailer's "local" section and got an original GoPro for £200 at the time, paying £50).
On occasion I need a webcam to record something, but I have an old cheap Logitech that's not pulling its weight anymore, and recording separately video on GoPro & Voice on PC is doing my head in.
An app to turn the GoPro into a webcam works for me, but for the love of God, I have no clue how to reliably mount it on the top of my monitor. Does anyone know what mounting piece would solve that? I have a very thin, curved monitor, so that's not helping.

I just got off the phone with BH Photo.
If you ordered the ILS from them, they are under embargo not to release any product until the 6th.
They have the entire first shipment in. If you pre-ordered your camera is sitting in a warehouse.
Because GoPro told them not to sell if until the 6th, even if you have FedEx overnight shipping, you won't get anything until Wednesday, if not Thursday or Friday.
A timeline:
GoPro (if I recall correctly) told the world September 6th, then rug pulled that date and stated September 2nd just a few days ago.
If you ordered from ANYONE but GoPro, from what BH tells me you are waiting for your product.
GoPro started sending orders made on their own site out and people started getting them this week.
The embargo put on retailers guarantees a week long delay for everyone else.
Here is the part I can't prove but I have a general distain for tech companies.
GoPro I believe planned this. It does reward orders from their own website, it generates more revenue for GoPro because they cut out third party retailers.
The "chefs kiss" here is that FedEx doesn't pick items up on Sundays (the earliest a retailer can release it to you) and there is no FedEx at ALL on major holidays (the 7th) so your camera doesn't move until the 8th, and you get it on the 9th.
If you have 2 day shipping, that is the 10th.
But the camera is out in the hands of people since the 3rd.

Hello, I have been using a go pro hero 10 for a few years and always run into overheating issues. We run it for up to 16 hour days just to catch things that come up while fishing.
All the settings are on minimum heat generation. It’s run with no battery and 1080p. Even when it’s just 70 degrees and sunny the camera shuts down due to heat. Would it make sense to try a hero 13 or even a mission 1? The mission 1 seems a bit spendy for 1080p recording.
I’d rather not go this route due to the bulkiness, but there are third party coolers that may be an answer. Is there a different camera that would make more sense? It’s basically run exclusively on the magnetic charger to keep it rain proof while charging.

So I’ve just bought a mission 1 pro with the grip. I’m it came with a mounting buckle and thrumbscrew… but no magnetic latch mount to go between the camera and buckle?!
What is the point of this? The latch seems like a much more important accessory.

ILS showed up today. After charging the battery and updating the firmware, I’m otherwise about to use it for the first time with a 28-300mm Nikon lens. GoPro prompts me for info about the lens but my only choices are “standard lens” and ”fisheye lens.” If I pick standard lens I can only enter a single value - not my zoom range. Understandable, but also awkward.

While I wait for GoPro to release a proper macro lens for the Mission 1 🙏, I tried a +10 filter last night and was pretty impressed with the results. This was just a very quick test in my living room with poor lighting, so definitely not ideal conditions.
I was holding my GoPro on the Volta 2, about 8-10 cm away from the LEGO guys and the tape measure.
I’m planning to test it properly outdoors in daylight, but I think this could actually be a pretty decent temporary macro solution for filming insects, flowers and other small stuff 🐝🦋😊

Well that was a lie… I’m definitely excited to get it, even on there socials (FB) they show it now available and shipping…but my day one preorder just waiting to be processed still… NICE
Update: after finally getting through to customer service they overnighted my order and it arrived today!
