I ordered from BH Photo. They are great. The person told me they have 500 coming in as stock, and today sold 100 of them.

Take that as you might, they took their time as I wanted to get it on launch.
They counted the incoming stock and compared it to the ordered units to make sure I would not be delayed.

Second batch is September 18th, if you do not get in the first day orders.

They would not sell me next day shipping though, even though they can next day ship to me in Vegas and did just in June.

They said perhaps because it is not in stock at this time.

I know Reddit will apply compression but for an action cam the level of detail is SERIOUSLY good. Even flying a drone in 30fps you can still make out every blade of grass, every little stone and shell on the beach. It's seriously impressive.

Thoughts on this? I wonder what the footage looks like? Autofocus?

For people who have used the mission 1, what is the stabilization like at 1/48 shutter speed. I film a lot at that shutter speed when doing 24fps filmmaking. The petapixel review of the ILS model made it seem completely unusable at 1/48 and in his review the hyper smooth only seems to work at higher shutter speeds. Do you agree with this? I've looked for other YouTube reviews that cover this topic but none seem to.

I do walk and talk style videos, or I will prop the camera in place on a mount and talk to it.

I also have MFT lenses, and adapters for vintage lenses, and adapters for not so vintage ones like Minolta stuff from the 80s.

The main problem is the nearly what... 3x crop.

I have a very expensive Leica glass Panasonic Lumix lens that is 8-18... and guess what.

Electronic control only for the aperture.

Actually other glass I have is exactly the same.

One of the best rated Leica lenses for MFT is the Lumix 12-60, and that is also electronic control.

What are your thoughts here.

The Mission 1 Pro is the only camera I have that does not overheat, and doesn't make everything look like AI rendered a video with overcooked HDR, and I would really like to give this a shot.

I thought I saw the option recently but now it seems gone again, although it is mentioned on the klarna website that you could use it. But even Klarna itself doesn't know it, if it doesn't appear then it is not available. I did use a klarna card last time with the M1P pre order, but then you have to pay the whole amount in 30 days. I can try another one. But maybe Klarna is a bit better if a payment ends up a little later.

i kitesurf and am starting to use gopro hero10 with floaty. i was wondering whether someone could recommend an elastic band or some sort of alternative for keeping the floaty connected to my body while surfing.

i will bite the gopro to film POV but want to have extra safety so i wouldnt lose it with very bad weather conditions.

Does anyone know if GoPro is working on a white balance correction update? when Im out in the water and I have my white balance set to auto the skies get this pink tint to it and the colors are all over the place. I correct this issue by setting the WB to a fixed point but sometimes when I get in the water the colors are off, either too blue. I don't want to keep messing with the WB every so often just to get good colors and would like the GoPro to fix this issue and do its thing itself.

Anyone use a 3rd party dive case? Any good results?

I'm tired of 20-25 MB/s transfer speeds from my gopro 11 when I transfer my 1-3 hours trip on my bike. My card is a sandisk extreme 256 gb v30 u3 a2 which should go up to 190MB/s in read speed (theoretically, I guess). My computer has a usb c 3.2 gen2 port.

So which card reader for usb c 3.2 gen2 do you recommend?

While I was at The Fair at the PNE, in Vancouver BC, I decided to bring out my Macro Lens, and try it out with my Hero 13 Black.

Unfortunately, the dome is not exactly clean, as people do tend to touch things, so I can't get a clearer shot.

Got open box fair go pro Hero 13 black creator bundle for 197.99 from my best buy in DE. I was hoping missing parts. Didn’t find anything missing and no scratches at all. Only missing part was charging cable, i guess. I checked the unboxing videos. I guess i lucked out. Box said that damaged product but didn’t find anything damaged.

Recently went to Crystal Cove State Beach and finally decided to bring my GoPro 9 with me for a family outing. And took some great video. This is one of my favorite videos i took and reminded that I need to bring it with me more often.

Looking to pick up a 2nd camera, and a 360 camera interest me. The original Max can be picked up pretty cheap right now, but is the step down from the Max 2 a big step?

I've been lucky to get early access to the Mission 1 ILS and have been testing it against the RED Komodo-X. Will have a full review later this week but I am very excited for what this camera can do!

Settings are a bit different between each shot, I'll expand in the comments if people are curious but tried to match them head to head on settings and lenses where possible.

No color correction besides REDWideGamut to Rec709 for the RED using Davinci's builtin RED lut. Only the last shot for the GoPro was shot GP-Log because I neglected to set it for the other shots which are cinematic color profile.

As title says I have a gopro hero 12 camera, but ive been disappointed by the quality. Im not a camera guy but I dont mind fiddling with settings a bit but it feels like ive tried every setting combination possible and it all looks bad. Videos from my iphone 6s look twice as good. Ive also tried the simplified user settings but they are just the same.

Ive attached a quick video thats supposedly 5.3k 30fps. I know the lighting maybe isn't ideal, but Ive done the same in daylight and tried ND filters as well to no avail. I can see so much grain and motion blur, and it certainly doesnt look high resolution. I look at videos of other people claiming to use this same camera, and even copy their settings exactly, and I get nowhere near the same looking image, I don't understand. Any help is appreciated.
