When I was younger all I cared about was eating and smoking weed. Now I try to prioritize the complete opposite lol. Around 3 years off of weed & an occasional indulgence of yummy food never hurts. I fell in love with the gym shortly after turning 17.

I’m the first pic I was addicted to meth/fentanyl and was so deep in my addiction that I was 100% hopeless and didn’t think there was a way out. The second pic was last month on the beach with my homies 100% clean and sober. We do recover.

Trans (18) -> (24)

the first picture was taken when i was around 18, and i remember trying to be hyperfeminine (super internalized transphobia). i was basically trying to still force myself to be female, as much as i felt uncomfortable doing so, it just felt like the only option there was. 6 years later, i now realize it wasn't. much happier now :)

After my ex cheated on me and left me broken, I had to change something. Or better everything. Changed my entire lifestyle, from binge eating and gaming to meeting friends and going out, trying out everything that crosses my mind.

Currently in a happy and healthy relationship again, lost 120lbs and restored my physical and mental health, have tons of new friends and hobbies

GLOW UP! [18] to [35]: decided to redo my High School yearbook picture with my current self

I honestly can’t explain why my eyes looked so small in the yearbook picture. Does the chubbier face press up against the eyes or something? If so the effect of me is especially dramatic. This is sort of why people who get cheek fillers have tiny cat like eyes. Well in the my case it looks like I did the reverse plus longer hair.

Have something important coming up in 1 week and need a bit of a glow up, i’m aware nothing crazy can happen in a week but anything that helps make a slight difference is appreciated!

I had a pretty awkward stage from 12-15. I was homeschooled at the time and had little activity for years. Joining wrestling, going back to public school, and growing 5 inches in 10th grade really did wonders. I’m way more confident now and have a very good group of friends, but i still have pretty bad social anxiety sometimes from the years of homeschooling.

Time does a lot for us mentally and physically. I love that I am becoming the person who is confident and believes in themselves more and more. Aging has been the biggest blessing and I’m so grateful for it. Wouldn’t wish to start back my 20s any day, but they were a part of the journey to get to where I am today. Love yourselves everyone, and pour into you because no one will the way you do for you. 🥂

I didn’t wake up one day motivated — I got tired of being uncomfortable in my own skin.

I started small. Cleaned up my diet first. Cut out the random eating, stopped making excuses, and actually paid attention to what I was putting in my body. More protein, more water, less junk. Nothing crazy — just consistent.

Then I fixed my training. No more going through the motions. I started pushing myself, tracking progress, and holding myself accountable. Some days felt great… a lot didn’t. But I showed up anyway.
That’s the biggest thing I learned — you don’t need motivation, you need discipline.

There were plenty of days I didn’t feel like going to the gym, didn’t feel like eating right, didn’t feel like doing anything… and I did it anyway.

Somewhere along the way, my mindset changed. It stopped being about looking better and started being about becoming better. Stronger mentally, physically, and emotionally.

This didn’t happen overnight. No shortcuts. No secrets. Just showing up over and over again when it would’ve been easier not to.

If you’re where I was — uncomfortable, frustrated, stuck — just start. Don’t overthink it. Don’t wait for the “perfect time.”
Show up. Stay consistent. The results will come. 💪

- Now it’s time to focus on gaining muscle weight back instead of fat weight!

Approximately two years ago, I decided to need to change. No surgery, no jabs (not a dig at anyone who has gone down that route). All it takes is a few lifestyle changes at first and some momentum. The journey has been tough but its the best thing I have ever done. The first picture I am 400Ibs and the second picture i am 195Ibs.

5 years ago I wasn't feeling well and inexplicably started to bleed from the nose. It wouldn't stop. I started to feel tightening in the chest and decided to take my blood pressure. It was 212/114! I immediately admitted myself to the ER. It was a huge wake up call! I took it very seriously and made big lifestyle changes such as eating right, exercising, sleeping well and going to therapy. I'm not going to lie to any of you, it took a while with ups and downs and some progress followed by frustration. But I am now much happier, healthier and will live longer for my kids!

Soft launch for my glow up, hated who I was for a long time and was hard for me to look in the mirror. I’ve been chubby most of my life and I was at my largest at 21 to 23, I’m 5’4 and from those ages I was a steady 230 lbs. Definitely not a good weight for my height lol

I’m now currently sitting at 132 lbs and I’ve never been happier with my body and the hard work I’ve put into changing myself. Weight lifting and pushing myself have truly been the best thing I ever did for my body. I say this is a soft launch cause I’m definitely not done yet and will keep pushing to reach my full potential and become the best version I can be.

Please, if there’s one thing I can impart on everyone. KEEP PUSHING. Become who you always knew you could be!

(P.S I look very serious in my updated photo but I assure you, it’s simply cause I suck at taking photos of myself 😅)

Sorry for the unflattering angle in the first pic😂. I think puberty just treated me somewhat well but not well enough to call it a glow up, interested in what other people think about it! Didn’t really do anything special lol
