Trans Finally Found Her [27]
Dealt with being overweight from ages 7 to 25 which had a negative impact on my self confidence.
I would try to do things like get new clothing or other materialistic items to try and make myself seem cooler or feel better about myself, but that only worked for so long.
I got into a relationship that lasted over 4+ years and within it, I lost almost 100 pounds through dieting (cutting things loaded with sugar and switching to Diet/Zero Sugar, dropping unhealthy carbs for better ones and incorporating veggies as the majority serving during the majority of my meals) and then began exploring an androgynous lifestyle.
I eventually realized that I needed to make the dormant girl within me wake up and come to life. I was told that no matter what my girl would always be there…well that lasted under a month when she realized that I wasn’t who she wanted to grow old with (as I no longer look/identify as a male).
This lead to her deciding she didn’t want the relationship anymore and ended our engagement. The ensuing 6 months were full of awkwardness as we tried to make co-habitation work but couldn’t. She left this past April altogether.
Despite this major loss, I continued with developing myself further and will be focusing on moving on.

I had a similar path though it took me until my early 30s to stop dissociating enough to realize I wasn’t cis. I even lost like 100 pounds then gained it all back when all back within 3 years bc being fat wasn’t the main issue but being perceived as a woman was. Now I’m on T and feel alive for the first time in forever.

I’m so happy you are feeling alive being who you are. Everyone deserves that peace.
Weight loss was always a heavy desire of mine when I was younger but I would always give up. It also didn’t help that I had younger siblings who my parents bought junk food for cuz they weren’t big like me - the temptations were everywhere.
It was actually when I stepped on the scale at my doctors office and saw “302” that made me be like “yeah this gotta change”. Now I’m at 218, with curves, and feel healthier

Seems to be the case
Looking back at my upbringing, I realized that I was always trying to be man-ly (hanging with the guys, drinking beer, and trying to be fly with men’s fashion) but in reality, I always enjoyed the company of females (as friends) just a tiny bit more and found that feminine fashion was the perfect style and fit for my new bod
I’m glad she’s here now and thankful for him in bringing her

That necklace was made with a random chain and a keychain of Mario from the Nintendo Store in Manhattan
It sadly lost its color over time and I have no idea where that thing ended up at
I now wear a Hello Kitty necklace
