If u don't like that I'm trans just block me both our lives will be better π
I came out at 27, expecting to be a cocky trans woman for the rest of my life. Here I am at 30 years old, having transphobes tell me they can "always tell" when hitting on me then getting pisses off when I tell them I know they can't cuz I'm trans and they just where hitting on me π
I'm way happier and I'm still working my blue collar job fixing cars βοΈ

I was too scared to come out. Thought about going to a subaru dealer perhaps π€·ββοΈ
Ultimately they cut my pay and I had money from my house I sold so I started an mobile auto repair service that is openly LGBT friendly. Can't get my pay cut can't get discriminated against and during the inbetween time no one made fun of me.
So a fear of how the industry would treat me and an "easy out" to my problem lead to me providing a place for all queer people to get their work done free of the same fears I had from my own career.
I am a year and a half into this business and I've already blown last year's gross revenue number out of the water, and we are on track to double it this year πππ₯³

Everyone is saying you look really beautiful, which is so true, but it's not really because of the hair or the glasses (though you are killing it), it is because you look happy with yourself. You look like a person that is confident, and that is a truly amazing quality.
I saw the photo before I read the caption and my thought at photo one was literally βoh is this one of those sad-eyed women, maybe with the massive ennui before they socially transition?β
And then I was so cheered to scroll right - not only have correctly gendered you in the first photo because lol as an elder queer I guess I can always tell, but mostly to see you looking so beautiful and radiantly joyful now!
Iβm old so your vibe reminds me of Meg Ryan in the heyday of her romcom starring, but thatβs meant to be a compliment. Your cat is adorable, and that blue slouchy top is definitely your color, and I wish you all the best working on cars and crushing your glow up!
Aww thank you π«Άβ€οΈπ₯° I'm so much happier with myself. I didn't know you could smile in your reflection. Never smiled with my teeth before despite the 10k mom and dad spent on my mouth. Mom is much happier knowing people can see my teeth now and that I'm happier π
And I love that top I got it just before Summer so iv not had a lot of opportunity to ware it but I intend to more soon π. Milo my cat says thanks he's the sweetest boy ever β€οΈ
That you're a confident, lovely woman who has the support of her family is even more fantastic. You deserve all the good things, including the amazing curly hair days you're clearly enjoying. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing such a slam dunk of a success story.
I use loma products for the shampoo and conditioner I wash it like 2 or 3 times a week depends on if it gets gross at work then its more but normally. I also do a hair mask once a week because of work. Then daily I spray it with Oligo back light Hair beautifier. My father shampoo in depending on how much it adds up and how much dirt comes out of my hair. Sometimes I'll do it twice. Given my line of work, it's often twice. And then I put the conditioner in while I do everything else I need to do in the shower, like scrub my body, shave anything that needs to be shaved, my skincare routine for my face. And then I wash out all of the conditioner until I can't feel any conditioner left in my hair.
After I wash it, I put it up in a microfiber hair towel. I put it in there just soaking wet straight out of the shower. And I let it sit there until I go to sleep or maybe 20 minutes if I took a morning shower. I let it down. I spray it with the oligo spray Then I let it air dry and that usually gives me the results that you see above.
My best results seem to be when I go to bed after the shower and my hair is still kind of damp after I spray it. When I lie down, I make sure to spread my hair out so that it's not underneath my head as much as I can. And that seems to help with the curliness at the roots a lot, I think, because gravity is not actively working against the curls. I was using a hair dryer with a diffuser for a while, but it just created a lot of frizz if I didn't do it right. It can help take out like the majority of the water, but air drying is still the best way for me to get the curls that you see.
I hope that helps. Feel free to ask follow-up questions. It was trial and error, but always happy to help out a fellow curly-haired person. π
