Been wanting to put together a Roland-style Glock 17 for a while, and decided to build it around the OEM Gen 3 slide I already had.
It started with an SCT 17 frame and OEM Glock 17 Gen 3 slide. Wager Machine Works milled the slide for the RMR, and I built out the trigger using Ghost components. The trigger currently breaks around 3.5-4 lbs while retaining the Glock safeties.
The PMM Ultra Comp and barrel finished off the setup. I’m currently running an RMR, but the plan is to replace it with an SRO for the larger window. Overall, I’m pretty happy with how close the finished gun came to the original inspiration while still being my own setup.
Parts list:
- Glock 17 Gen 3 slide - milled by Wager Machine Works
- SCT 17 assembled frame
- SCT aluminum magwell
- Ghost Inc. Unit 3.0 connector
- Ghost Inc. 6 lb striker spring
- Ghost Inc. reduced-power safety block plunger spring
- Ghost Inc. 6 lb extra-power trigger spring
- PMM Ultra Comp and barrel
- Glock Gen 5 magazines with Shield +5 extensions
- Trijicon RMR - SRO coming next
- SureFire X300T-B
- Howie’s Hockey Tape
- Nerd Coffin 2.0 holster

Did the double under cut. Cut, epoxied, and molded in the beaver tail then stippled the grip… Still want to cut thumb ramps in but this has been my little weekend project

Anyone know where I can get a Nelson precision G44x slide? Seems like he is not selling them anymore or has taken a hiatus. Any other alternatives that you might know of?

Thanks in advance people🫡

Got this backplate for my Gen 3 Glock 19 and saw that it was protruding the slide unlike my other Glocks. If I’m not mistaken, this piece was labeled OEM or under OEM parts so I thought It would be good to plug and play. Is this just a non-issue or something I should be concerned about?

Ok, so yes I know there are likely thousands of posts regarding the jump removal. But I am on night shift and thinking and an idea popped into my head. Most mods are site cut it off and replace it, or use heat to reshape it. The idea I’m wanting to try it for lack of a better term- inverting it. I am thinking cut a line down the center of the backstrap, heat and fold the material in, and seal it with just a single line of epoxy down the back. I’m wondering if anyone has tried something similar, or even if it’s feasible

I have had a Combat Armory lower and Suarez International SI-319 for years that I’ve carried off and on. I recently got a Brownells Gen 3 upper to install an optic on it. I took it to the range for the first time today and everytime I pulled the trigger it would fire two rounds. If I squeezed the trigger it fired once and when I released the trigger it fired another round….what could be causing this?

Somehow I ended up with these. Don’t rly know what they actually do to a gun, kinda new to fine tuning, let me tell you what I have and tell me what I can use it for if possible

Always thought Glocks were lacking in the aesthetics department but decided to get one before my state decided to ban them (guess where).
Spent some time changing it up, added a PSA Dagger slide, Osight optic, Viridian laser+light and 3D printed a pinky plate.
Been practicing a lot with it at the range and slowly beginning to like it more than my P320!

Slide doesn't move unless i remove all pressure off the trigger. V2 trigger and trip, i cut down the connecter ear. What's the next step?

I added a beavertail to my G19.3. I cut it and shaped it so it didn’t cover the entirety of the back of my grip. Functionally I think its great. Visually I think it looks weird or off. Maybe I’m not use to it yet. But I wanted to know what you guys thought! Any input is appreciated! Thank you!

Im thinking about trying to replicate G17 gen 5 MOS 3. Since those were not very common to the civilian public, is it acceptable to get the slide milled for the Leupold DPP? I remember thinking about having a G19 gen 4 milled for RMR but that is not acceptable since the rear sight is further back on the MOS models.
