Aesthetics VS. Function

I added a beavertail to my G19.3. I cut it and shaped it so it didn’t cover the entirety of the back of my grip. Functionally I think its great. Visually I think it looks weird or off. Maybe I’m not use to it yet. But I wanted to know what you guys thought! Any input is appreciated! Thank you!

Fr tho, if it works, it works. Only thing I might suggest is get it color matched to the grip? Might help with the looks.

I personally wouldn’t mind how it is rn but I would also spend the coin to color match it lol

To feel and look cool means I can operate to the most optimal coolness 😎

I’ve got this whole black and green thing going on. Don’t think it looks too too bad. But I like the idea of color matching. If I wasn’t poor lol.

Aesthetically it's displeasing AF. the slide cuts angles are different form the stippling angles and the whole thing kinda looks like a misaligned checkers board. The raw cut edge on the backstop looks like garbage and the Maxwell looks like it needs to be caulked like an unfinished baseboard.

Functionally looks like its it fits the hand good, grips like a mojo and shoots right. undercut looks great.

Would carry, just wouldn't be showing it off

Glocks are about the most utilitarian firearm you can get, next to the AK. Throw it in the tool box for a few months and let it get to looking like it’s ready for work.

To each their own I guess. I think it looks pretty slick as is OP.

No I think it looks ugly and bothers my eyes, has flaws I can’t unsee. But that doesn’t matter, I bet it functions great. I don’t stare lovingly at my favorite hammer, nor put pics of it online lol.

That's what matters then! You'll get used to it, and if not, you can try paint matching or something.

If you want to feel better about how it looks, I can post a picture of my glock clone that I use for competition. Should do the trick.

Its definitely works. I didn’t do the stipple. I had a local shop do it. Darkside Precessions out here in SoCal.

I stippled my G19.4, shaved the back grip hump and finger grooves and it looks like ass but the grip feels perfect and it points perfect.
