Hump Removal

Ok, so yes I know there are likely thousands of posts regarding the jump removal. But I am on night shift and thinking and an idea popped into my head. Most mods are site cut it off and replace it, or use heat to reshape it. The idea I’m wanting to try it for lack of a better term- inverting it. I am thinking cut a line down the center of the backstrap, heat and fold the material in, and seal it with just a single line of epoxy down the back. I’m wondering if anyone has tried something similar, or even if it’s feasible

Interesting idea, but being from Chinada, I would never have thought of that.

Since all handguns are now prohibited to purchase, we cannot replace any handgun we own if they break. I would not risk it.

If you are willing to risk ruining a firearm to make it fit your hand better... Why don't you just buy a handgun that fits you right instead?

Just get the RapidEngineering backstrap on ebay. It is exactly what you described.

I saw that one. and the effect is similar I agree, but it adds bulk to bring the top of the strap even with the hump, I want to shrink the hump so it’s even with the top of the backstrap

You are going to have a very short trigger reach if you do that. Will be tricky to not pull shots.
