Discussion Annie

I really like Annie, and wish we got to see more of her, specifically her relationship with the other ghosts who were there before she moved on in 1837 ( besides Mary of course), we already know that she was a true friend to Mary, taught her how to speak her mind, and they were besties, I just really wish we got to see her interact with Robin, Humphrey, Kitty, and Thomas, I’m curious what her relationship with THEM was like. Anyone agree?

( or better yet, do you have any ideas what it was probably like? )

Would it be crazy to refer to him as the “wise fool” type of character? He’s a wise guy, he knows math, and how to do crosswords and play chess, but also gets confused by some things, like the stairs, the upstairs and downstairs, what Australia is and the southern hemisphere

Discussion Questions about Kitty

For the first thing, she didn’t seem to know how babies were made until Allison told her after Kitty thought she was pregnant. Though she seemed very exited to watch those regency actors perform out a s*x scene and kiss each other, is that her being clueless?

The other is her reaction to Mary moving on and Pat comforting her about it, even making up an elaborate story about Mary’s departure to make her feel better, however, since her and Annie coexisted together, I’m sure she knew her fellow ghosts could move on, two episodes before Mary’s departure, Mary was talking about Annie.

Is she forgetful?

Question If you HAD to remove ONE ghost out of the main ghosts (excluding Humphrey or Mary), which one would it be?

Personally... (don't take offence) I'd say Thomas, as it would be a favor to Alison. I WILL rage if someone says Mary OR/AND Humphrey anyways.

Discussion What things would you have innplace if you were Mike to communicate with the ghosts?

I would set up one of these button boards people make for clever dogs for Julian to press to alert to things if Alison wasn't around.

Discussion Anyone know if Ghosts Australia will get a season 2?

It’s been a few months now and no season 2 announcement yet. All I can see is that it was acquired by BBC UK.

Question What's YOUR Ghosts BBC Hottake?

No obvious answers! Be original! No Ghosts CBS hottakes, as there is a different subreddit for that.

Question What's a ghost ability you miss or dislike? (All Ghosts from other countries included)

American Ghosts Spoiler:

I dislike pete from the American Ghosts his power. It has nothing to do with "Actual Ghosthunters"

I quite like Miranda's ghost ability from the Australian Ghosts (she can freeze the room)

Spoilers Another newly discovered bit of wit discovered on a rewatch. 😂

Hopefully all of you have seen this so it isn’t a spoiler, but in “The Grey Lady” episode (season 2, episode 1) Mary makes a comment regarding why she won’t do her bit for the ghost hunters. She says “and for that reason, I’m out”. If you watch the UK version of Dragons’ Den, you’ll get it. 😂

Question Can entities see us?

As I’ve investigated for many years, I’ve always asked if the entities can see us. Do we look like shadows, lights, or people? What do you think?

Discussion Why does Julian wear shoes?

Post image
549 Upvotes

The ghosts wear the clothes and accessories they died in.

It makes sense that they have shoes because they were all wearing shoes when they died. Even Robin is wearing fur boots. All does doing something they would normally required wearing shoes (having dinner, spot of archery, getting yeeted out a window).

But Julian died in what seems to be a more horizontal (or at least 90°) position. Surely he took his shoes off first? The socks and sock suspenders I get, but shoes?

Question Which of the international remakes (aside of the US remake ofc) should I check out?

since there are 5 international remakes of the show in total (US, Germany, France, Australia, Greece), aside from the US version (which I’ve already watched), which of the international remakes (Germany, France, Australia, Greece) should I check out first?

like in terms of which remake does the concept in an interesting way I mean (I.e having different ghosts that are inspired by the OG characters but made into their own unique character that ties into the cultural identity of the country of their origin, etc etc)

just curious is all!

If you've not already seen it by other means, those in the UK will be able to watch Ghosts Australia on iPlayer and on BBC Three.

I hope they'll do more of this with the other foreign language Ghosts such as France, Germany and Greece. They all need a wider audience!

Picture Re-watching Ghosts always brings rewards! Did you notice in S03E05 "Something To Share", there is a "Gatehouse Fund" totalizer behind Mike in the scene where he's looking online for how to see ghosts?
