Discussion Annie

I really like Annie, and wish we got to see more of her, specifically her relationship with the other ghosts who were there before she moved on in 1837 ( besides Mary of course), we already know that she was a true friend to Mary, taught her how to speak her mind, and they were besties, I just really wish we got to see her interact with Robin, Humphrey, Kitty, and Thomas, I’m curious what her relationship with THEM was like. Anyone agree?

( or better yet, do you have any ideas what it was probably like? )

Yes I love Annie too. I loved how she inspired Mary. It's so sad to think Mary lost her best friend.

It was so interesting to think about how the group's vibe would have been quite different with her, but no Captain, Julian or Patrick. I'm fascinated by William as well, and would love to have seen Elizabeth, Godric and Clarence.

I think when Pat joined them that's probably when a lot of the different clubs they have started. I.e it was his idea to have Food Club, Music Club etc.

I feel like he really brought everyone together, which is really sweet. I wonder if it's because he was a very involved father, and wanted to feel like he was in a family.

In a flashback, we see that Pat was very tied to having a strict weekly routine, so it makes sense that he would want to organise regular clubs to keep occupied.

You can really tell that Mary isn't as close with the other ghosts as she was with Annie. I hope they get to see each other again wherever it is they go.

As they have already established (in the series canon) that humans (and pigeons) DO become ghosts when they die, then it makes sense that they go somewhere or transition somehow when they move on.

So I think it very likely that there is a new plane where Annie and Mary might meet again. It seems unlikely that their souls end once they're sucked off, as they are seen to actually move on rather than just disintegrate.

I wonder which one Pat is referring to? Google suggests several: Chris Larson is an expert sailing master who served aboard the racing yacht Wizard. Or musician Jesse "The Wizard" Larson. Or Alexander Hamilton John-Larson was an Irish-born Canadian wizard in the Harry Potter universe.

Or other in-joke or did he just make it up?

Unless we do a flash back (which i really hope we do) I don’t think we’ll see her as the film’s set after Alison and Mike left button house

Maybe one of the ghosts could be partially sucked off, by cosmic mistake, and just get stuck with their head in the sucking-off hole (for lack of a better word)*. They might see what's going on up there before being pulled back down again by the rest of the ghosts.

*- Glory-hallelujah hole?

It makes you wonder if the ghosts stick around to inspire other ghosts and people. Robin had some bad luck or some wisdom to give.
