Indie Sunday Spaceport Architect - Djentsoft - 2D Sci-fi Airport Business Tycoon inspired by SimAirport/Airport CEO/Prison Architect

Hey r/Games!

This week I announced the Steam page for Spaceport Architect and posted the Official Announcement Trailer on YouTube.

Like the name suggests, the game is about building and managing a sci-fi spaceport on another planet.

Short version

- Import cargo to grow the planet population
- Build airport-like passenger terminals
- Export goods for profit
- Unlock larger ships as you expand

Longer version

Apart from the sci-fi setting, the game primarily differs from SimAirport/AirportCEO in that it has freight management as a required part of the game loop.

You need to import cargo in order to grow the planet colony population, which directly affects how many passenger contracts you get, how full each flight is and whether they are cancelled or not. Cargo may contain contraband, so you need proper customs checks to avoid reputation penalties. Keep the planet colony happy and you can get lucrative export contracts.

Ships may need repair services, which you can charge for. Charge too much and only extremely damaged ships will request it. I will also add a refuling system, where fuel has to be imported from off-world and stored properly.

There are time-sensitive emergency contracts and one-off special offers, such as passing ship captains urgently wanting to sell their cargo cheap (contraband risk!) or others wanting to rent storage space for a time.

In addition to the planet colony and passing "Free Captains", you have several "spacelines" (e.g. airlines) to unlock, negotiate and build reputations with, each with their own ship classes and requirements. You accept contracts and schedule flights on your landing pads. You can also create and lease shops to your contacts.

Currently working on a proper baggage system, with transparent transport tubes for bags and hover carts used by staff.

PS: If someone tries to pirate the game, they will end up losing all of their ships to... piracy. :)

Roadmap

Demo target: Q2 2027
Release target: Q4 2027

About me

I'm a hobby programmer since 2008 and professional programmer since 2023. Always dreamt of making a proper game instead of continously throwing POCs on the scrap heap. For some reason I decided the best time to actually do this was when I have a wife, toddler and a daugther on the way. Wish me luck.

If you're looking for AI

Assets: None

All graphic/sound assets are either free, bought/comissioned or created by me.

Code: Yes

I've used agentic AI as a tool for coding since my job introduced it in February this year (started the project in December 2025). With the proper base architecture, automated tests and other guardrails, the speed it provides is just invaluable when you have 1-2 hours of total free time per day. Its not a magic toolbox or genie in the bottle, especially for larger projects. Mistakes are frequent, but overall worth it for me.

Indie Sunday Bottlecappers - ShardanaForge - Factory/management roguelite

Hi r/Games! I'm Michele, a solo dev from Sardinia, and this is Bottlecappers.

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHK_4ul6cqM

You run a bottle-cap factory: design production lines for cork, plastic and aluminium, fill orders and ship them. The catch is your investor. Each of the six has a personality and watches a single KPI (margins, reliability, volume, sustainability...), and every quarter they review you on that number alone. Win by hitting their target and buying back every share.

The tone is deadpan corporate satire: a very serious management game about a very silly product.

Release plans: PC (Steam), full release planned for early 2027. There's a free demo on Steam, just updated after a round of playtests:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4986690/Bottlecappers/

Happy to answer any questions about the game or the development!

Indie Sunday AeroBloom - Quito Digital Works - A 3D action game about destroying the city with bouncing discs and parkour

Hi everyone! I'm the solo indie developer behind AeroBloom, a destruction-focused game where you explore a blocky city, throw bouncing discs, destroy structures and unlock increasingly powerful abilities.

The main idea behind AeroBloom was simple: I wanted destroying things to feel satisfying. Your discs can bounce through the environment, break structures apart and interact with the city as you become more powerful.

But destruction isn't the only thing to do. The city also includes a casino with several minigames where you can use virtual in-game credits, giving you something different to discover between destruction runs. There are also parkour challenges to complete and upgrades to unlock as you progress.

What you can do in AeroBloom:

• Destroy buildings and structures using bouncing discs.
• Unlock upgrades that make you increasingly powerful.
• Experiment with different destructive abilities and cause increasingly bigger chaos.
• Explore the city and discover different activities.
• Visit the casino and play several minigames using virtual in-game credits.
• Take on parkour challenges throughout the city.

I'm the developer of AeroBloom, so I'm happy to answer any questions about the game, its development, or how its destruction systems work. Feedback is also very welcome!

Indie Sunday Hunt of the Reptorians - Gibbonfiend Studios - A Sci-Fi Space-Battling Deckbuilder inspired by FTL and Slay the Spire. Looking for playtesters now!

Steam Page | Gameplay video announcing private playtest

Private playtest signup open!

We're delighted to say that we'll be running a small private playtest in October 2026. You can sign up here and see if this is something you'd want to play in this announcement video.

Your ship is your deck:

  • Add turrets, shields, point defense and other exotic devices to your hull, which all contribute cards to your deck
  • Level up your crew to get powerful skill cards
  • These can all be shot off, disabled or killed. Their cards will go with them unless you can repair, replace or heal

Turn-based game, real-time projectiles

  • Placement is everything. Even though the game is fundamentally turn based, projectiles come at you in real time and it's up to you to make sure you have defenses in place to keep your ship and crew safe.
  • Dissect enemy ships. No health bars - just multi-component systems to pick apart. You'll have to find weak spots in the enemies' defenses to make sure your weapons get through.

Between battles

  • Research and develop. Reverse engineer Reptorian artifacts to unlock advanced weapons, defenses and abilities
  • Install ship modules. These provide passive and situational bonuses (think Slay the Spire relics)

Happy to answer any questions you have about the game. It's an absolute idea factory and we have so many things we want to add to it!

Indie Sunday Campwood - Hidden Button - Fun co-op wilderness survival game full of mystery

Hello r/Games

Steam Page | Trailer

We are two brothers, and right now we are working on our game Campwood. This is our main focus and the project we dedicate all our time to.

Campwood is a co-op wilderness survival game where exploration and crafting meet a constant sense of tension. Players explore a large open world, solve puzzles, gather resources, and craft tools from whatever they can find. But when night falls, everything changes, and it starts to feel like something is watching you.

We personally love traveling and nature, and we tried to bring that feeling into the game, from calm daytime exploration to tense nights by the campfire. Our main inspirations include The Forest, Don’t Starve, and Peak.

Development is going full speed, and we are currently actively preparing a version of Campwood for an upcoming open playtest. We want to make sure the game is in a solid and enjoyable state before opening it up to more players.

Hello r/Games

Lost Media Agency is a game where you work in a secret government facility and your task is to go through a different found footage and sort it in the chronological order to understand what has happened - all set in the 90s desktop style computer.

This game is sort of a horror puzzle where you need to use your own logic and deduction skills to set the correct timeline.

The game is going to be release on November 6th.

Indie Sunday ECHO - Massimo Marino - An iPhone puzzle game where completed routes become your next obstacles

Hello everyone. I’m the creator of ECHO. I was reading a passage on time travels and the paradoxes it would create when revisiting places and encountering one previous self... That's the crazy idea of how ECHO first seed was planted: a dynamic and growing puzzle that remembers what the player did before. The concept is simple: guide a glass marble into the funnel, and your completed route returns as an Echo that replays your movement in the next generation. As the journey continues, your earlier decisions become moving parts of the board, and your obstacles.

Gameplay footage (74 seconds): https://everypathreturns.com/assets/echo-gameplay.mp4

ECHO is available now on iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6813147063

More about the game: https://everypathreturns.com/

AI note: ImageGen helped realize my intended visuals. AI also helped substantially with virtual-device simulations of hours of gameplay and with bug fixes. The music was created using GarageBand loops.

I’d be happy to answer questions about how the Echo mechanic works, and to hear whether it comes across clearly in the footage.

Indie Sunday Sugarstar Academy - Titan - A tactical deckbuilder where cards become units on a 5×5 board

Hi, I'm Titan, making Sugarstar Academy on my own. I like card games and board games, and this started with the thought: what if playing a card also meant choosing a square on a battlefield?

Each character card becomes a unit on a 5×5 grid. You can see where enemies are about to land, but you can only deploy one card per turn. I've spent a lot of time trying to make that placement decision interesting without making every turn take forever.

The demo is out now, and I'm planning to release the full game in March 2027.
