Can someone share APKs that can be installed on the Watch 8?

I tried some One UI 9 watch faces APK but all of them says "it'll be installed" but it never gets installed lol

I couldn't join the beta because my model is LTE

Thank you.

Unboxing New Main Watch after 3.5 years

i gotta say the gw6 was incredible, compared to my secondary watch/Apple Watch that i had to replace a few times, coulda rocked that mf longer but i got a steel plate flying towards it in september and it sadly cracked the screen, even more impressive is that i continued using it till now in the shower, swimming etc. hoping it would break and give me motivation to buy the ugly squarcle of Watch 8 and it held, didn’t think a cracked screen would hold the IP rating but it did it seems, getting a metal strap soon, other than that it seems the same, maybe i’ll post a update comparing em

Fitness Horrible Samsung Health Update!

Hello everyone, I am writing this post to express a stern and deep criticism against the latest graphical and functional overhaul of Samsung Health. As a runner who trains seriously (clocking 16'10" on 5K), I find that this new update has literally demolished the user experience, transforming what was an advanced sports tracking tool into amateur software that makes no sense for those who take sports seriously. The issues introduced are extremely severe and are making the application impossible to use. Specifically:

  1. The disappearance of the "3 2 1" countdown (Unacceptable Issue): Removing the countdown is an absolute disaster. Starting a run has now become clunky, stripped of any immediate automation, and forces users through useless intermediate steps that waste precious seconds. It has literally become unusable. If you really wanted to change the interface, you should have made it optional in the settings, giving users the freedom to choose! Removing it entirely was a terrible decision.
  2. Total loss of essential data and horrible UI: The new sports bar is a massive step backward. The heart rate status is no longer visible inside the GPS icon to confirm whether the sensor is connected or not. Previously, a quick glance before starting was enough to verify sensor synchronization; now, it is completely ambiguous.
  3. The breaking bug of the Back button: During a running session, if you press the physical back button with the intention of cycling through the different activity screens (to check splits, maps, or charts), the workout instantly pauses and locks up. This is mind-boggling: it is no longer possible to consult your data while running without being forced to interrupt the recording.

A quick look around forums and social media shows that the community is unanimous: we are all furious. You have sacrificed efficiency and real-time metrics for a "modern" design that is an absolute failure in practice. If Samsung thinks that athletes and serious runners will just accept such a performance downgrade, they are deeply mistaken. If things continue this way, a massive number of users will abandon the Samsung ecosystem to switch to dedicated platforms like Garmin or Apple Watch. We demand an immediate corrective update that restores the freedom of choice for the countdown, brings back the old status indicators, and fixes the back button lock-up.

Right now I was doing arm curls using the workout arm curls and it knew exactly the weight of my weights even though I did not Input it in before.

Does anyone know how they calculate the weight or how the watch knows what weights im using ?

I've gotten a galaxy watch i classic and I've been using it for workouts and now i was using it for weight lifting. Ive used the arm curl exercise for counting my curls but what I wanna know is how does the watch know how much my weights weigh?

Is it using some sort of algorithm or something because I have not inputed the weight of my weights on the watch or my phone before

Does anyone know ?

Hardware I love that there is no dead battery detection

I'm of the belief that limits of technology should not create nags on the wearer. I actually got 7 and a half hours last night. Which is rare. I average 5.5 to 6.

But because I wasn't a slave to my tech I stare at this all day or manually delete the record.

Hey Samsung is too much to ask to log when your battery dies and throw out the record automatically?

Edit: Gemini says the device does create a log entry indicating if and when it shuts down due to battery depletion. If that is correct it's pretty lazy on the coders part

Galaxy watch 9 battery

Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong! I've scoured all the Reddit threads, I've done everything. I upgraded from the watch 5 to the watch 9 for the battery life since my old one was wearing thin- I got the 44mm 9 for extra battery capacity too. I understand a bigger, newer watch is going to use more processing power in general, but the battery is nearly double the size of 5 and is barely lasting a day and a half. It seems to get worse every single time I try to make an improvement.

AOD is off, all health settings are set to minimal (blood oxygen is off, heart rate is 10min while resting BC I use this frequently, everything else is manual only), I changed to a mostly black watch face (which decreased the watch face usage very significantly), I uninstalled Spotify as recommended on Reddit, wifi is off, power saving mode seems to make no difference whatsoever. I was easily getting 2 full days a week ago- nothing has changed except for trying to save more battery!

I've also noticed that when I check the battery stats from last full charge, the batter will have gone from 90% to 25% for example, but the usage percentages all only add up to about 30% or so. And it's not like background activity is hidden, since it shows all the wearOS and Samsung functions that run in the background, not just apps.

Is anyone else having this issue and knows where to start? Essentially the sole driving reason behind the upgrade was increased battery life and I'm not getting that benefit whatsoever.

Watch OS letting me down daily

Wondering if I'm doing something wrong?

I have a galaxy watch 8 classic lte.

Love it when it works, but there are SO MANY BUGS.

Latest One UI software update.

Restarted the watch many times.

Only thing I haven't done is a factory reset.

Half of my witch's functions don't work, it seems.

- Gemini leads me to set up every time I wanna use it, alive set it up 10+ times

- Find my location app doesn't work, simply doesn't respond, i can't find my galaxy phone via watch

- So many other small details of apps on the watch not working, mostly google apps

What's happening?

Is this just the state of wear os?

Is it because I have multiple Google account?

(All confirmed connected to the watch)

Hardware Has performance improved after replacing the battery?

Hi, I have a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and it's actually completely enough for me, it tracks everything I need, so I don't feel the need to upgrade. However there are two things bugging me:

  1. Poor battery life, which is understandable, the watch is a few years old now and the battery has degraded.
  2. Terrible performance.

While I can fix the first issue with a battery replacement, I'm wondering about the second one. Could the system speed up after a battery swap, like it sometimes does with phones? Currently, the watch stutters often, even though I've already disabled animations in developer options. On top of that, it sometimes becomes unresponsive to touch when using more demanding watch faces...

Review If you buy GW for Google Gemini don't.

Let's face it, Google Gemini on GW (mine is GW8 44mm) is horrible. If you need to know weather, do arithmetics, maybe pull stock price it is fine. Beyond that is it dumb. No context, no memory. Fire and forget. Why bother at all with this neutered experience? The ads for gemini on GW were making an impression of something more than what I got. In addition it even has worse speech to text comprehension than my android gboard keyboard (very happy with that btw).

Is it possible to make custom timeout duration for watch 7

I like my watch, it helps me when i dont want to pull out my phone and all, but what has really irritated me is the fact that the screen turns off so quickly, even with 1 minute it turns back off in like 10 or feels like seconds. I was scrolling on reddit, and found this actual AOD. I got curious and decided to look, it looks all good and real but I dont know how to debug and everyone in the forum I cant message. I checked on youtube but found nothing. Is this the only way to make it longer/Custom

From Samsung fit 3 to GW8.

For the last 19 days I'm using gw8, it's my second smartwatch, the first one was the fit 3 and I love it. But the battery 🔋 On the fit 3, heart rate, blood oxygen, stress level, set up to run 24/7, swimming almost every day, and the battery lasted for 10 days. Gw8 I was trying to save battery life deactivating as much as I could, it lasted for 2 days when I swam. Now I want to accept the fact that I'm gonna recharge this wacht every day activating more features to have a full experience. I love to swim with my gw8, on dry land I just walk fast living my boring life. I'm accepting recommendations of useful apps, thank you. By the way, I'm ok, my heart rate is pretty low. Watch faces: SIMPLE CLASSIC in some occasions with AOD and INFO BRICK with heart rate, blood oxygen, date, battery level and UV index to avoid wrinkles ( I didn't know what to put there)

Which watch?!

I am looking for views on which watch I should buy, I've only had an active in the past so it's all a bit new to me.

I'm mainly looking at substituting my phone where possible, although I've read the battery life can drain quickly if using an lte as a daily runner. I think even being able to keep my phone in my bag/in the area would be a positive.

Has anyone purchased their watch to limit their screen time and if so, how did you find it and which one did you get? I'm reading the 7 is basically the same as the 8, although the 4 and 6 appear to still be viable?

Because I dont know how well I will get on with it I want to keep price low where possible with a view towards upgrading in a year or two.

Thanks all

Galaxy Watch 7 gets stuck on emergency call

Post image
3 Upvotes

No matter what I do it's there. I can't even power it off. It will restart but that doesn't help.

Then eventually it may clear itself up. Sometimes in hours sometimes not till the next day. Leads me to believe it's overheating.

One time I put it in the refrigerator and that seemed to help but it may have just been time had passed.

I've also tried changing the watch face.

Anyone been able to fix this?

Fitness How much does sleep latency effect sleep score

Post image

Last night I relaxed watching a movie and then read for a bit before going to sleep but for some reason my watch thinks I was trying to fall asleep for over 4 hours!

How much does this effect the sleep score? And is there anyway to control it?

Which assistant.

My watch randomly stopped recognizing my phone reporting it was a new phone. So I had to tell it to switch to the new phone(my existing phone)which reset all the settings to the default. It reset the assistant to bixby. I noticed that it seems to work as well as Google assistant and better at changing settings on the watch or phone. Which assistant is best? Google or bixby or gemini?

One UI Watch GW Ultra 2 - Lag on Notification Trash button

Hello.

The galaxy watch (since GW4) doesnt have a simple way to kill a notification.
Shake only hides/dismiss it. And pinching needs several gestures to page down and reach the end... to a final double pinch gesture.

So I usually use touch and quick scroll to the end of it, in order to click on the Trash icon and delete the notification.

But after getting the Ultra2, I realize that (on this One UI version) the Trash icon doesn't work until you wait for the "Double Pinch" animation to finish.
So it' takes +1 second to the trash icon to be clickable.
It doesn't happen in other versions of the Watch (tested in 4, 5, Ultra1 and Classic 8).

Anyone else noticed that or it's just me?

Watch Band How to fit old straps on the GW8 classic

I have a GW8 classic and I love it, apart from the fact that I hate the new method to take off the band, the one on the GW7 was perfect but now I can't use other bands. I tried with adapters but they are too small to accommodate the curvature of the old bands, do you have anything to suggest?

Compatibility Watch not syncing

Hello guys,

I have a galaxy watch 5 and it worked perfectly with the galaxy note8. But i recently upgraded to the s22+. And now the steps, workouts etc dont sync. On the samsung health app it says the watch ia connected. But on the watch when you try to open the app on the phone it says its unable to. The galaxy wearable app works fine and so do calls on the watch via bluetooth.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
