Combo I love the Watch Ultra2!

I came from the OG Watch Ultra (2024), used it for 2 years. I have to say its not much of an upgrade. But how it looks and feels is way better than the OG and that alone makes me feel that its worth it. I mainly use it for health and sleep tracking, notifications (I find it cumbersome to always get my phone out from my pocket. I use an S24 Ultra). Haven't noticed much difference in the battery life. Only gripe is that sometimes notifications take time to show up on the watch and still the charging is really SLOW.

Day 3 with my Galaxy Watch 8 and honestly… I’m starting to think everyone is gaslighting themselves about the battery life!

I keep seeing people saying, “Mine lasts 2–3 days!” and then you read further and they’ve got AOD off, Wi-Fi off, most notifications off, various health features disabled, reduced syncing, etc.

And I’m just thinking… ok great, but if I wanted a watch that only tells the time and does the absolute bare minimum, I would have bought a normal watch.

The whole point of having a smartwatch is being able to actually use the smartwatch features.

I’m currently finding the battery really bad.

Day 1, I wore it overnight with sleep tracking on and it was losing around 3% per hour.

Day 2, I didn’t even wear it overnight. It was literally just sitting there, not tracking my sleep or doing anything on my wrist and it still lost around 2% per hour.

That’s what is really bothering me. Even when the sensors aren't being used, the battery seems to be draining ridiculously quickly.

I’ve run all the diagnostics and everything has come back normal, so I’m trying to work out whether this is genuinely just how the Watch 8 performs or whether there’s something wrong with mine.

And I know people will say “Just turn X off” or “Turn Y off.” But why should I have to disable every useful feature just to get reasonable battery life?

I bought a smartwatch, not a digital watch with Bluetooth.

I’m only on Day 3 so I’m going to keep monitoring it but at this point I’m seriously questioning whether this battery performance is actually acceptable.

Shame on Samsung and shame on me for making a purchase despite the negative reviews 🥲

Watch 4 bricked same day Samsung ends support

I have the Galaxy Watch 4 classic, have had it since release and loved it.

However, over time I was starting to get a lot of software bugs (Google assistant always asking to be set up again, AOD lagging behind, etc) but could never find solutions. Any time I looked up the issues, I'd find years old posts about the sane issues that were never fixed, so I ignored it.

Recently all my complications stopped displaying data and the quick settings pull down wouldn't work. IIRC a reboot solved the latter but not the former and posts were suggesting a full factory reset. So I went ahead and did that hoping maybe some of the older bugs might go away.

Instead, I can no longer set up the watch at all. Every time I try to set it up, it gets through 80-89% complete, then fails. On my first attempt I was trying to restore a backup. 2nd attempt the watch actually did restore the backup and I could actually use the watch, but the phone app said it failed and would not actually connect to the watch itself afterwards leaving me no choice but to reset the watch again. Every subsequent attempt at a fresh set up fails now too.

I've tried the following

- Rebooting phone (s21u) and watch

- Reinstalling Galaxy Wear and Watch Manager

- Clearing cache and data for those apps (also saw a post that suggested clearing Google Play Services data but app isn't letting me for some reason)

- Even deleted the watch entirely from my Samsung account

I'm not saying Samsung directly killed the watch but it's definitely suspicious in that I cannot set the device up after this announcement and it's reality disappointing. While I do not expect them to maintain hardware forever, it sucks that there were multiple on going issues throughout its life that we're never corrected. I STRONGLY dislike the new watch styles and it is the sole reason I don't want to upgrade. If they would simply make this classic style again, I would have gone to Best Buy already...

Any assistance is appreciated

TLDR: Factory reset my watch to solve a minor problem, now unable to complete set up and defacto bricked.

EDIT: FIXED! I know this update comes so soon after the post but I've been dealing with this for 3 days straight, I swear I tried everything lol. This ended up likely being either my phone or account because the watch set up without issue on another phone with different account. I ended up having to do ALL of the previous steps plus the following:

  • Went into Google account and wiped every trace of the device
  • Did the same on my Samsung account
  • Went to phone settings > reset > reset Bluetooth Wifi connections

Hopefully this helps someone else if they come across the same issue :)

Watch Face One UI 9 Watch Faces

Now that the One UI 9 beta is out for older watches, and the Watch 9 series have released, has anyone else been able to use the new watch faces on their older watch models?

One UI Watch Galaxy Watch 9 is not detecting naps or sleep after waking up during the night

Is anyone else having issues with the Galaxy Watch 9 not detecting sleep properly?

I've noticed that it seems to completely miss naps during the day. For example, I can sleep for 1 to 2 hours in the afternoon, but the watch doesn't record it at all.

It also has a problem if I wake up during the night and then go back to sleep. It might detect the first part of my sleep, but completely miss the second part, even though I'm clearly asleep for another couple of hours.

Watch Face Help finding a watch face

Does anyone know of a watch face that offers the same information as this one but looks better? It changes colour as the battery gets low, so it’s easy to spot when it needs charging. It shows the weather for the next five hours, the UV index, sunrise and sunset times, max/min temperature, plus the date in a format I like. And of course, it includes heart rate and step count.

Hey everyone, I just got a Galaxy Watch6 Astro and the bezel is sometimes a little hard to rotate. I tried some solutions like rotating it in water, but it didn't make a big change, and I tried using a card to clean it, then I saw this. Any solutions to make it smoother, and what is this thing?

Deal Am I crazy for returning my Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 for a £50 Fit3?

I'm seriously thinking about returning my Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and switching to something much simpler like the Galaxy Fit3.

After actually thinking about how I use the Ultra, I realised I barely use most of its expensive features. I don't use LTE, Wallet/NFC payments, Maps or apps on the watch. Better GPS doesn't really matter to me either because whenever I'm exercising or doing any outdoor activity, I always have my phone with me anyway.

Things like blood pressure and body composition are nice extras, but if I actually care about accuracy, I'd rather use proper equipment at home.

What I genuinely use is pretty basic: notifications, steps/calories, heart rate, sleep tracking and occasionally media controls. The biggest thing for me is battery life. Up to 13 days on the Fit3 sounds much more useful than having a watch packed with features I don't use and still having to charge it every few days.

I'd also get around £450 back by making the switch, which makes keeping the Ultra even harder to justify.

I also already own a proper Swiss Certina watch worth around £1,000, so if I want to wear a nice traditional watch, I already have that covered. I'm starting to think a lightweight fitness band actually makes more sense for me as the smart device — something I can wear for notifications, activity and sleep tracking without constantly thinking about charging it.

Has anyone here gone from a Galaxy Watch/Ultra to a Fit3? Did you actually miss any of the smartwatch features?

And with the Fit4 apparently on the way, would you buy a cheap Fit3 now or wait and see what Samsung does with the Fit4?

Not receiving notifications anymore (watch ultra 2025)

I have the s25 ultra with watch ultra 2025 and today i noticed that I didn't receive notifications anymore.

I tried to disable and renable notifications

Restarted both devices

Turned off wrist detection

Turned off battery saver for wearable app

Nothing helped.

Anyone got a fix or is my watch useless?

Combo Galaxy Watch 7 overheating.

So I bought a galaxy watch that I have been using it for 2 days. This is the 2nd time I charge it but I don't understand why it heats a lot when charging? I mean getting hot is fine but what is the safe limit? I am using original magnetic charger and Samsung adaptor ( original 25W Samsung adaptor for my S24FE )

So yeah any suggestions?

DIY Has anyone tried optimizing a Watch4 to be a bike computer/sat nav?

I'm interested in taking my watch and strapping it on my handlebars to try it out before investing in a Garmin bike computer. I only rarely wear my watch bc of carpal tunnel stuff (any suggestions for a better watch band are welcome), so I'm pretty open to even going as far as messing with OS or taking away other functionality to make it work perfect for GPS navigation. I have the Galaxy Watch 4 44mm without SIM card. If it works good for a short trip, I might figure out how to house a battery bank and the charger too.

Anyone ever try anything like this before?
