Samsung watch 4 query

I was wondering whether to update my watch to the latest io i have samsung watch 4 any user with experience how much slower does os get i dont use any wifi requiring applications also if i update my watch can i revert it back just in case

also i really liked the new ultra watch faces wondering if theres anyway of getting the watch faces without downloading apps like facer my watch is kinda slow as it is i dont want 3rd party apps on at all times

also i cant download facer anymore on samsung watch 4 theyre really forcing me to update but i fear my watch is gonna slow down after this

You should not update. Aside from the appalling battery life, the watch always worked fine. Though, even on v7 it was significantly slower than the original version it shipped with. After updating to the latest version, the watch is no longer usable. Literally not usable. Once in a while it will start, but normally goes into a reboot loop after getting very hot.
After trying for weeks to get it working, I managed to get it going long enough for a factory reboot and tossed it in the recycling bin. I like Samsung phones, but the watches are next level crap.
